Went in for a routine oil change and then they proceeded to pull out a dip stick to tell me my transmission fluid was dangerously low when I have a vehicle with a sealed transmission. AKA there is no dipstick. Will not be returning to this location due to questionable ethics. read more

What started as a head scratching moment turned into a great customer experience. I pulled in and the vehicle in front of me obviously had something majorly wrong with it. I was next in line but about 4 other vehicles had come and gone in the other lanes while this was happening. The manager I believe, came over to my vehicle to apologize (I didn't make any complaint or comment) explained what happened, and moved me into another lane. I wish I could recall everyone's name that I spoke with during my oil change experience, but Lauren was my main level tech. Hands down the best vehicle service experience I've ever had. Professional, knowledgeable, engaging and even compassionate for my young child in the back seat who was an angel given how long the entire process took. Thank you to the staff and Lauren. Based on experience, those employees at this Valvoline were awesome. Soon as I pulled up the garage door starts to open. They guided me in and started yelling. They yell to confirm to other workers that the process is being to correctly, kind of like cross checking in a plane between pilots. I was in and out within 11 minutes. Called ahead and they said it was about a 10 minute wait. Got there less than 5 minutes later and there was 1 other car waiting. That car was taken after about 5 minutes. I waited another 25 minutes after that, at which point someone cut into one of the bays in front of me and was taken out of order by the staff. I asked what happened and they were very condescending and sarcastic. Their explanation was "sorry, we had a problem with your bay and they got in the bay that cleared first." Then they went back to ignoring me, so I left and to a choir of sarcastic idiots saying "have a nice day." I don't understand why they couldn't have asked the other car, who had just arrived, to back up so that they could take me. That's why they get 1 star - I only wish I could give 0 stars. read more

I generally perform my own vehicle maintenance, but I decided to give this place a try last winter when I needed an oil/filter change and it was too cold and snowy to do it myself at home. Unfortunately, Valvoline is a quick lube shop that employs unskilled people and you need to be on high alert. The engine oil and filter change were performed quickly and efficiently. However, throughout the process, they attempted to upsell me on almost everything under the hood: - They claimed my coolant overflow reservoir was dangerously low and that my engine was liable to overheat if I did not pay them to top it up. The coolant expansion tank should be checked only when the engine is cold. The reason mine was showing low coolant was because I had been driving my car for the past half hour and the coolant had been circulating. When your car warms up to standard operating temperature, your oil temperature gauge should be somewhere in the middle. As long as you're in that sweet spot, you don't need to do anything to your coolant. - They said my transmission fluid was dirty and needed to be flushed or replaced. First of all, there is absolutely no need to ever flush a working transmission. Transmission fluid should be simply drained and replaced just like engine oil. More importantly, they suggested to replace my transmission fluid with Valvoline ATF. I drive a Nissan with a CVT, which requires proprietary Nissan CVT fluid. Any other ATF can lead to internal damage. This is common knowledge in the automotive community and the technician should have known this. - My battery failed their load test and they tried to sell me an Interstate battery for $150+. These batteries are decent, but you can get a high quality battery at Walmart or Costco for under $100. Bottom line, quick lube shops don't turn a profit off basic oil changes, which is why they try to sell add-ons to customers who don't know better. At best, you pay for unnecessary services. Worst case scenario, they damage your vehicle. read more

Great and efficient service. Employees started the process as soon as we drove in with signal and tire pressure checks. They were pleasant and explained the process as they went through the steps. There were also coupons you can pull up on your phone and use right away. Also they were not pushy with additional services they offered. This is my go to place to get my oil changed. They are pretty good and quick about everything. I am a fan of the places that allow you to sit in your car while your oil is changed. Once you get in, it probably only takes about 10-15 minutes for the oil change which is nice. I'm not a mechanic, by any means, but they seem to do a good job. Typically, you don't have to wait too long but the line seems to keep moving. I also feel like they are pretty reasonably priced. They send a lot of coupons through the mail, too. He wasn't pushy like most other mechanics and I didn't feel like he was trying to rip me off; He just stated the facts but let me decide what I wanted done to my car. I went to this location for two oil changed and was shocked on how pleasant the experience was for both visits. I always have my guard up for these type of zap lube business since they usually try to force expensive services on customers; however, the experience I had was always a friendly and not pushy. Went in for routine oil change .. technician reported one head light not working and prepared to replace the bulb by removing it to show me the original bulb .. I told him I would have it repaired later .. then took car to local auto parts dealer who informed me that the bulb was never replaced properly and a rubber protective boot around the bulb was missing which I then had to order from a Toyota auto dealer. read more

This place is terrible! They remove things from my cat like the air filter and have a hard time getting it back in. The most recent time I came here they for some reason could not remove my oil filter. The employees at this place are incompetent. I have been to other vavoline stores and have had excellent service, clearly this place is not well managed! read more

Went in for oil change got talked into radiator flush. 12 hrs later care overheated and engine block cracked. Never had my car overheated prior to this. UPDATE 03/20/15. I have to give VALVOLINE credit here. After informing them of the issue, I was contacted by their front office and they are taking car of the problem and have offered me a very fair and equitable resolution which I am very happy with. read more
