They will package the truffles up nicely for you for a reasonable fee if you'd like to gift them. This makes a great gift for a host/hostess! They have a very good variety of quality chocolate bars and a small selection of other chocolate delights. There should be something for most everyone who loves chocolate. (I was told by locals that the hot chocolate is to die for but I've never had it.) If you want really good chocolate then Castronovo is always a great place to go. SCW and I have gone over several years and the quality and consistency is always top notch. The service is always attentive and helpful. You really can't go wrong with anything you get here. The interior is small but don't let that fool you. The smell when you walk in is always amazing as they are almost always making chocolate in back. You'll find chocolate bars on the left as you enter, some coffee and beans to the right and an amazing assortment of truffles and goodies behind the glass display. They have vegan options as well. Parking here can be difficult at times as it shares the lot in front with two other busy businesses but make the effort, it's well worth it. read more

Saw a Yelp review and had to go try the Peppermint Mocha Supremo. It was delicious. Not overly sweet and just a hint of peppermint. Delicious! I was greeted upon walking in and the Employee was super nice and informative. The shop is a small area for Patrons with some outdoor seating. The smell inside the shop is divine. There are prepacked items in so many flavors. Coffee and "drinking chocolate" are also offered. A daily case of chocolates are available. Like drinking a bar of chocolate, decadent and insanely delicious. We've been wanting to come here for a long time and it was well worth the wait. I ordered the Mocha Supremo, a hot chocolate with a shot of espresso and chocolate shavings. My boyfriend got the Frozen Chocolate and a little chocolate covered cranberry treat. Both drinks were so unbelievably good, this place knows chocolate inside and out. Service was also very nice to accommodate our Ricky with a little whipped cream pup cup. There's no seating inside (it's a pretty small shop) but it's nice to sit outside or walk to Downtown Stuart when the weather's cool. Definitely recommend! read more

Fabulous chocolate! While this store isn't by any means "affordable" chocolate, it is a fabulous treat! Great for spoiling someone you love, or even just yourself! My husband and I came in for the first time the weekend before Valentines Day. The girls working were so sweet and helpful. Such a pleasant start! We ended leaving with an assortment of their truffles, bourbon caramel hearts, two chocolate bars, a fancy maple syrup, and single origin coffee! The truffles were decadent and all around perfection. Honey lavender, madagascar vanilla, and a cinnamon heart truffle... they were all our favorite. The two chocolate bars- one sea salted chocolate and the other a white chocolate creme brule bar were fabulous! The creme brulee bar was so unique and wonderful, and full of crunchy sugar. I'm not a big fan of white chocolate usually, but I am a big fan of this one! The bourbon caramel was delicate and not chewy. I really enjoyed those hearts! My husband loves the coffee he got here, and we have yet to try the fancy maple syrup. I cannot wait to return for more chocolate treats. read more

I read through the reviews and took another Yelper's advice. The splurge is worth it. My vegan daughter was delighted that they had many options for her. The two women working are very knowledgeable and gave us a history lesson on how they make their chocolates. All you need to do is look around the room and you will see many awards that they have earned. I wasn't sure which chocolate suited me the best so one of the ladies asked me which ones were of interest. They have a piece of every bar behind the counter and they will let you have a taste test. RUDE. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever received. This female employee with red hair needs to be fired or put to work in the back, not a customer facing position. I walked in here with my daughters and from the moment we stepped in she rolled her eyes at us and did not want to annswer any question I had. When she did respond it was callus and dark. This was our first time in, and I was trying to ask about an order a previous customer had walked out with Because it looked good. I was polite and so were my children. As someone who is passionate about chocolate, I do declare this place as a chocolate connoisseur's chocolate shoppe! They sell bean to bar chocolates, so these chocolates are of the purest quality. They have several varieties of chocolate that range from white, dark milk (dark with some milk) and the darkest (my absolute favorite). The shop owner is very nice and was happy to help distinguish the bars so you can make the best selection to suit your taste. Behind the counter I can even see the process of them making chocolate. Personally for me, I go for the dark chocolates with at least 72% cacao. These bars have a bold, rich taste which to me is reminiscent of dark roast coffee. They also sell truffles in the display case, so you have to arrive early to your first choice of flavor. For me, this is a must stop whenever I come back to my home town. read more

When it comes to chocolate, I know what I like. What I don't know, are the details. This little shop has exquisite chocolate, but for me, the real draw is the knowledge. The employees, and the owner, have a passion. They are happy to educate and share, and that becomes contagious. They feature gourmet, fair trade, bean to bar chocolates. They also pair chocolates with other flavors in an imaginable way . The downside is, my last purchase semi melted in my car, so come cooler weather, I'll be back. Long story short: If you have even the slightest appreciation for dark chocolate, Castronovo makes quite possibly the best dark chocolate you will ever have (I know this sounds hyperbolic, but in the past 6 years I have yet to find anything better). I was lucky enough to stumble upon this place in early 2014; it was their first year open. I had already tried a lot of store bought supposedly fancy premium dark chocolate back then, but I had never had anything like what Castronovo was making and I still haven't. This place is on another planet as far as chocolate is concerned and, if anything, they've only gotten better over time. I've since moved to Jupiter and still I've made the trip to Stuart regularly to get the chocolate here. I've also gone to several craft chocolate stores in other parts of the country in the past few years and I'm not saying those places were bad, but when it comes to the flavor, quality and variety of dark chocolate they just don't hold a candle to Castronovo. And since you read to the end of this review, I will let you in on a little secret. Every Thursday and Friday Castronovo makes chocolate chip cookies. These are not just any cookies though. They're made using Castronovo's own dark chocolate. They're fresh-baked, chewy and they taste amazing. They sell out quickly, but in the off chance you can make it one of those days, it will be worth the trip I can assure you. Just don't tell anybody ;). Enjoy this gem of the Treasure Coast. We broke the bank and bought the last small chocolate bunny and four yummy bars: 66% dark/milk with nibs, 70% heirloom, 72% rainforest, and 80%. I'm a purist and the darkest, smoothest is my fave. Upon entering I was warmly greeted and asked if I needed any help. I have since been in three additional times and believe the welcoming vibe to be a permanent feature.
