For cigar smokers & such this is definitely one you should not forget about in your cigar shop itinerary. Place is on Main Street in Downtown Nashua & this place is pretty decent with regular customers & newbie's. Overall w& if you thinking about getting a drink yes it's got a liquor license if memory is right. Guy who works at the place is an old school guy but he's very knowledgeable in cigars even if you think of their own brands. Found this place while stuck in Chelmsford over the weekend for work. I absolutely love the atmosphere. They have a very good selection of cigars and a place to relax and smoke one if you wish. Cigar lounges seem to be very rare in the area so that makes this one even more special. Prices on the Cigars is actually pretty good. The old guy running the place can be grumpy at first but he lightens up if you make an effort to talk to him. Lots of good restaurants near by so, this could be the end to a good night out if you like cigars. I will be back. read more

Went here unexpectedly tonight. Me and two friends were eating across the street and noticed the street sign. Went in and were immediately greeted at the door. First question I asked was about alcohol. They're strictly BYOB which was our fault (won't make that mistake again). Went right into the immense humidor and was guided to a cigar of our choice. Sat down and watched TV while we smoked. Even met a few regulars. I'll be back there for sure. Way better than spending all that money in Boston's North End. read more

I've been to cigar lounges in Europe, Asia and all over the US. This one is special. If your anywhere near Nashua, NH, you enjoy cigars and NOT OPENLY POLITICALLY LIBERAL, you need to VISIT THIS CIGAR LOUNGE! It is old school, authentic, nostalgic and rustic, the likes of which no longer exists. The real major plus of this store is that their prices are very reasonable, very! If you're there be prepared to watch all kinds of sports on multiple TVs and talk endlessly about betting on sports. It's also BYOB but there's also a bar next door -- and numerous restaurants around the shop. Parking is typically available right on Main Street. There is no sales tax on purchases and they offer soda and water for $2-per. The weekend manager, Bill, is not only friendly and funny, but also knowledgeable about cigars, and provides great service. There are one-and-a-half negatives. First, right now, their inventory, due to the supply chain issues, is rather paltry. Hopefully, this will resolve itself. The half is that it can get somewhat smoky in their. However, this adds to the character of the place and I don't mind it but I know some do. They offer a membership for $120/year but this is for locker rentals no other special privileges. They also have an upstairs but it's not reopened yet. They have no minimum on credit card spending which is a huge plus. But use your common sense: Don't pay for a $2 soda with your credit card. I like this place. The vibe here is cool and very non-pretentious. I came in looking for a specific cigar that a friend got me, and it took forever to find it. I probably should've asked for help, but it wasn't clear who actually worked there as opposed to who was just hanging out. I think the prices are a little higher than most, which is why I took away one of the stars. But the selection makes up for it. And the guys here seem to know their stuff. read more

This establisment(s) there are a few through out NH, is hands down the best cigar bar I've ever been too - not snobbish, not cold, not elitest. What they are...open, friendly, knowleable happy to offer advice, point to a specific selection to help you expand your pallet. I have frequanted a few of their establishments and I can say it's not only worth the stop in, but even more so worth grabbing a stick and sitting down to soak up the very "Old School" ambiance that adourns the walls of each of there stores, not to mention the lively conversation that takles place. If the lively conversation isn't for you they have a quiet section to open your lap top and get some work done. I'm a outside sales consultant and enjoy the occasional cigar while doing much needs screen time - nothing beats Castro's Back Room !!! read more

If I were conducting a review on the cigars alone, I would be giving this place a lower rating. The selection was ok, the prices were midly overpriced, the place was dirty and smokey, and the walk in humidor was rather dry as was some of the cigars. So why am I giving this place 4 stars? Well, first this cigar shop had more character then almost any shop I have ever been in. It was like I was in a professional blue collar cigar smoker's shop, not some young rich yuppie tourist trap. This place has a row of freakin' old fashioned barber's chairs in front of a flat screen TV for Chr-st sake...how cool is that. There was even a big friendly black dog in the store...and even he looked like he smoked cigars. You could smell, see, and feel the cigar smoke everywhere in this palce, and you are guaranteed to smell like an ashtray when you exit the door. Additionally, this place has interesting cigar memorabilia plastered all over the walls, and old cigar aficionado magazines scattered around the tables. There was also an upstairs that I was told is occassionally used as a poker room. This place is just flat out cool and I would gladly pay a few bucks mo for a stoggie, just for the opportunity to visit such a unique and interesting cigar shop. read more

A great place for anyone who enjoys any form of tobacco (but particularly cigars). A great place to do just about anything you can. From the wide screen TV equipped with Comcast Cable, and an atmosphere that you can't get out of any other (non-castros) smoke shop I've ever been to. The barber chairs and couch are quite comfortable, and you are free to even pull out a laptop, or even school books to study a bit while puffin on your favorite stogie or pipe. The regular customers and staff are very friendly, outgoing and are quite knowledgeable. On Main Street, it can be a challenge to get a parking spot, but Castro's has been kind enough to keep their back door open where there is a sneak little parking lot, to avoid the traffic of Main St. All in all, a great place to go alone or with friends. read more
