I have been visiting this place since they opened up on Main St across from CVS. I am sadden of the news that they will be closing the Nashua store. A lot great stuff they have and great employees with a lot of knowledge of anything they sell inside. I've been here a number of times and I keep coming back because I keep hoping that my experience gets better, but sadly, it doesn't. I'm always greeted when I walk in and when I leave and I've even had someone offer to help, but every time I visit the employees follow me around the store like I'm going to steal something. I almost want to take off my coat and check my purse and the register so they'll stop. But I get it - people steal, you have to be careful - but this beyond being careful. It makes me feel like they don't want me in there. I go there for the head shop and they have great prices and selection, but I've never had someone behind the counter really engage me in a conversation, even when I tried to start one with them. I've even bought a few pieces. I want it to FEEL like most head shops where people are chill and excited about the products and can't wait to show you their favorites and engage in a discussion. I don't want to write a negative review of this place because, frankly, I like the merchandise (this is why I gave it 3 stars instead of none). I want it to be my favorite head shop. And I'll continue to go back occasionally to see if the experience has changed. And I'll gladly change my review when I feel welcome and comfortable. read more

Whoa! This place has everything! Need a new pipe? Check out the backroom. Vibrator ain't cutting it for you? Backroom it. All your goth attire so last season? Headline. Need a new crossbow, BB gun or knife? They got it. What else do they have? Wolf and fairy statues, gauged piercings, motorcycling gear, incense galore, exotic dancing costume and shoes, lighters, books, DVDs... I will say the adult shop was a bit expensive and not a lot of variety (you're better off at Amazing) Five years ago, this would have been my one stop shop. Headlines is a one-stop shop for all your vices. Think of it as a department store for your dirty little secrets and not-so-secrets. Smoking paraphernalia? Check. Adult toys and DVDs? Check. Knifes, airguns, and bows & arrows? Body jewellery? Check. Latex and PVC clothing? Check. I could go on, but you get the idea. The staff of each section is knowledgeable (if not a little cliche) and the prices are mostly excellent (if not a little steep on the clothes). Sales are abundant. The quality of goods is top-notch. I had been looking forward to going to Headlines for a long time and I certainly wasn't disappointed; I look forward to taking another trip north in the near future. They do have a great glass section but getting help from employees is a challenge. I have had employees roll their eyes at me several times when asking to look at a particular item that is behind the counter. They need to improve on their customer service or I will only be shopping at Twisted across the street who has great customer service. read more

(Disclaimer: I have no interest in marijuana, so none of this is about the pot-supplies side of the place.) I just visited for the first time and immediately ran into "I want one of everything" problems, which speaks very well for the place. Their stuff, or at least their less-than-$100 stuff, might be a tad overpriced, but the quality and selection is good enough to make me willing to support a maybe-slightly-inflated profit margin for them. One drawback, which is why I'm only giving it four stars: the vast majority of their stuff either has no price tags, or has price stickers on the underside where you have to defy a million "Please Do Not Touch" and "You Break It, You Bought It" signs to pick it up and look. Upon walking in with my wife greeted with a hello and please no drinks .. ok that was fine. Next we pick out a few items and immediately asked to hand them over so they can hold them for us at register .. ok this is getting weird. I barely fully decided if we wanted the items yet. Anyways we continue on .. next we hear a conversation amongst employees talking about if something is ok for a customer to do .. they were referring to someone else .. all we can think is WEIRD, UNWANTED and just a uneasy feeling.. overpriced ... fairly ok inventory... just wasn't feeling the vibe and being watched like a hawk wasn't cool. read more

This has been a long time favorite of mine. Not only do they have a wonderful way of displaying products but they have a huge selection. They often have great pricing and a vast supply of clearance items. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner himself will often stop and chat. I've gotten a lot of great recommendations for things to do and places to go in NH for which I'm very grateful such as Andres Institute of Art and Purgatory Falls. They have tons of cool items, wind chimes, dream catchers, knickknacks, beautiful earrings and other jewelry, canes, etc. The smoking stuff is towards the back and the selection for those things is extensive in my opinion. THE TRUTH. Headlines has a lot of really nice stuff. The prices are expensive but the quality is worth it. Shopping there can be a very uncomfortable having the staff follow me around as though I'm about to steal something is not the best experience. The staff needs to back off. Glad Nashua has a place like this, but I wish it was better. They have a lot of cool stuff - interesting clothing, hemp products, pipes, adult entertainment, weapons, stickers, candles/glass, piercing/jewelry accessories, oils/incense. I agree with a previous review - it's like a department store for all of your dirty little secrets. The employees are okay, but the management is full of snobs, I noticed from the last few times I was there (a few years ago). The clothing is priced as expected for what it is and a place like Headlines, but the clothes fall apart within 6-9 months. I don't fancy buying a $40 skirt if I can't have it for AT LEAST a year. My boyfriend and I went here yesterday to purchase our first hookah. We didn't know too much about them or how they worked but the customer service we got was amazing. We spent 26$ on a two hose small hookah and we love it! They had a table of 50% shisha that we picked some nice flavors from as well. This place is great. Staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful to me. As for the comment regarding them selling to underage kids? That's complete bullshit. I'm 25 and have been going here for 10 years. I was not allowed in without a parent until 18, every single time. They still card me whenever I try to go to the back section. Additionally, they didn't even let me use my husbands credit card (of which I'm an authorized user). Was it annoying? Sure. But this place is extremely professional. i totally love this place, although that could be based on nostalgia from high school. if ever you needed expensive, but quality, medieval dresses, swords, cross bows, fairy nonsense, body jewelry, regular jewelery, or smoking paraphernalia, this is your place. i don't know what incense they use, but that place has a distinctive smell that i love to come back to once in a while. the staff is generally pretty helpful, and every once in a while you find a pretty awesome deal on something. i'd highly recommend it! read more

Then you have to go and ask for help because no one plans on going out of their way to do so. As prior review, greeted as I entered and I actually said, "Wow, thank you..." I love this shop. Take your time, there's so many cool objects, etc that you miss it. Found awesome blown glass figurines, custom glass coasters, awesome earrings, etc.. Staff, again, outstanding. Wrapped and included some items with custom boxes. Hello I recently bought a titanium nail from Headlines in nashua, or at least I thought I did. Half of the "titanium" nail turned out to be stainless steel, and the tip portion was a cheap awful imitation titanium of some kind. Titanium should not be effected by a butane torch and mine was ruined.The sales team and manager didn't seem concerned at all that he wasnt selling a real product. So I wasted 40$ and he wouldn't give my any store credit. Its extremely unsafe to vaporize off of anything except surgical titanium and they dont care... Having been a customer here for years, I am disappointed by the decline in service the past 2 times I've been here. Not only are their products WAY overpriced ($18 for the cheapest metal dabber) I spent over 20 minutes picking out the specific pieces I needed for a project (challenging and unnecessarily time consuming because they wouldn't let me see them side by side). There was another small piece I needed, but they would only sell me the set, because even though it was clear it had been sold separately in the past and they would be ordering more, they could not just sell me the one piece I needed. After agreeing to purchase the complete set I was informed that they would not sell me anything because of my perceived "rudeness." I don't know what kind of business turns down over $100 in sales after dragging the customer through those kind of hoops, but I guess it's this one. The ridiculous prices were something I could get past, being treated this way and having my time wasted is something I cannot. I would HIGHLY recommend seeking your glass somewhere else- you'll pay less, have more pleasant interactions, and hopefully go home with what you labored over selecting. read more

overly expensive, owners daughter VERY rude, commenting on my "china" glass.. at one point the women was calling me a liar over a 12 dollar refund I wanted back from a purchase the very day before because they gave me the wrong measurement at 4.2 inches when I specifically said 4 inches not a bit longer multiple time. overall very poor customer service will never return. read more

first off, i really dig this store. all kinds of cool stuff under one roof that is not available any where else (def not in Massachusetts lol). but buyer beware. bought a nice frank b. stiletto switchblade. within a week the safety switch went. brought it back with receipt. the kid behind the counter was/is a real knucklehead. was combative from the start. said i needed the original white receipt when all i had was a yellow one and was never told to keep a white receipt, which i don't even remember having. was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do. left , called and asked for manager. turns out the same dbag behind the counter was on the phone and hung up on me when i asked to talk to a manager. it finally took another trip and talking with one of the managers (steve, who turned out to be very helpful) to resolve the matter. i am waiting for a new shipment of knives to get a replacement but have been offered store credit if i so choose. so as i said, it is a great store and i will continue to buy from there. but i will be careful who i deal with there. read more
