What gets me with these guys? They won't give prices over the phone, precluding anyone from price-shopping "from the comfort of their home (or phone)." "It's our policy," I was told. Hmmmm, SHADY. They refer you to the website, which didn't allow me to look for the vape I asked about, but it DID show the up-sell (only packs/kits and such). I worked in sales for a long time, and this "policy" smacks of bait/switch, or at the very least, of the type of business that counts on being able to take advantage of walk-ins... doesn't matter if a consumer sees the price on the shelf or on the box in the store, because places like "Holy Smokes" rely on people making the trip in and buying (settling) for whatever price-point offered because they are already there (and who wants to drive or walk all over kingdom come)? I wound up calling another smoke/vape shop in town, and the gent there was super-helpful, answered all of my questions, and gave me a price right away. Guess who got the sale? The other guys. (P.S. I recently realized that my life was boring and that I needed something to make it a little more interesting. The first thing that came to my mind: start smoking cigars! Unfortunately, I chose to go to this smoke shop to get supplies for my new hobby. I was very disappointed to learn that cigars are shaped like penises. Why would I want to chomp, suck, and blow on something shaped like a penis? Also, the shopowner's comments to the previous review read like this: "Yelp is irrelevant to anything, just like your opinion is irrelevant to anything, businesses owners are not going to drop everything they are doing just because someone like you needs attention in the social media world." Apparently, Yelp's irrelevance and failure to make "businesses" [sic] owners drop everything to respond to people who comment about their business on Yelp IS NOT the reason he is doing just that. read more

Wow, I was really sorry I made the trip. Friend of mine said they had been a couple years ago and suggested it... even he was surprised at the difference. Staff was so rude I'm surprised they didn't carry guns to follow along with their demands and attitudes. Prices were WAY to high compared to their competition and the selection was very limited compared to what I had hoped. I hate to say this outloud, but the tax in MA is actually worth it compared to this place. Worst. Road trip. Ever. I dont know WHAT everyone on this page is talking about. I went last weekend with a couple buddies and the owner was MORE than accomodating. Mike, I think his name was, actually kissed my hand when I walked in the door, and Im a MAN! It must be some of that old world I-Talian charm. Whatever. After we had selected our cigars and sat in the lounge, Mike once again came over and asked if anyone was feeling tense. Before we could answer he was standing behind me giving the most intense deep tissue massage Ive ever had. It bordered on erotic. Once we were ready to leave, we walked back out to my car, only to see that Mike had WASHED AND WAXED MY CAR!. While we were inside! A solid cigar shop. - Went here last weekend to pick up a few things. There were a few people inside lounging about - again - I always feel like I'm interupting some private club when I step inside these places. Conversation stops and you are stared at as though you do not belong. - Regardless, I went through to the walk in humidor in the back. It's decent - a good size and all right selection. Although I did not find my cigars, which is odd as they are found everywhere (H. Upmann and Onyx). As were were looking at the cigars, deciding what to get, an older man walked in to help us out. He was very friendly and accomidating, which was nice. He pointed out the specials that were going on and left us to look on our own. I didn't find what I wanted, but didn't feel the need to speak up: either you see what you want or you don't. - We picked out a few smokes and headed to the counter. The guy who ran us up offered to cut them for us - which was awesome as we didn't have the cigar cutter on us. He took care of that which was great. So, the two guys behind the counter were cool - ignore the stares and mutterances of the guys sitting there in the lounge (maybe they don't have homes?). read more

I was so absolutely disgusted with this place. I went in there and it was completely dead. The person who is clearly the owner was incredibly rude and lacked any sort of customer service. Completely ignored me, It seemed like he was doing me a favor by checking me out on my purchase. There has been very few times as of recent I don't with such rude service. Great cigar store, one of my favorites. These guys carry my boyfriends favorite cigars which are extremely difficult to find, and also my Al Capones cigarillos which are the best price i have found around town . Also the store is very clean for being a cigar store, most of the smoke shops i go into are always dirty, but this one is very clean. Nothing to write home about. I am a cigar smoker only, and there cigar selection was extremely small. Their smoking area consisted of three lounge chairs and a TV to watch. Nothing special or unique about the area itself so opted to not smoke there. I have to assume they are now making their money off of the vape stuff now, because this place can not come close to touching any other of the cigar shops in the area. Lastly, they keep their walk-in cigar humidor locked, and you have to wait for the employee to meander over to unlock it. read more

So ive been to holy smokes about four times now the last time I went in I spoke with a gentleman that took his time to help me out, he was knowledgeable, and didnt rush me even though they were clearly closing soon, we chatted for a bit about his new loyalty program and i purchase a 15 milliliter bottle of honey and Hand Grenades and also inquired about some ribbon wire, after rifling through a few boxes he ended up finding a spool and told me not to worry about purchasing it, he said not many people ask for it and it doesn't sell so just take the role. Class act in my book, before I left I decided to sign up for the rewards program. the gentleman informed me that along with rewards for purchases every now and then they send you a special reward, one of them being the next time you come in after signing up you get a free coil when you check in. All this leads up to today when I decided to stop in to get some more honey and hand grenades. I walked into the store and before i even made it to the counter I was asked by the kid "what do you want today?" I told them I would have to look around a little bit but I was going to get some juice his immediate reply was "what kind do you want?" I told him what I wanted and he quickly said anything else as he walked to the cash register all this while I was trying to look through the cases to see what they had, I felt very rushed and didn't appreciate that I wasn't given the time to look around. next i asked the kid if they had any Kanger ceramic coils in stock and he very arrogantly explained "no, kanger doesn't make ceramic coils the only people that make ceramic are vaperoso cCell." I had to pull out my phone search for it and then show him that he was incorrect because Kanger did in fact make a ceramic coil along with many other companies that currently producing sell them, at this point I said fine whatever I'll just pay for my juice, so i scan my rewards tag and give the kids my money he gave me my change and walked away from the register. after scanning my reward I was informed by the computer that for coming in on my second visit I get a free coil, I clicked dismiss on the screen and ask the kid about it he came over and said "where is it on the screen?" I told them that I clicked off of it so he logged me out and had me log back in and it wasn't there I explained that's its not going to show up now because technically because he logged me out and logged me back in this is my third visit, he interrupted me and said "you only get a fee coil if you buy a 30 milliliter bottle" and walked away, then to top it all off i get home, go to use the juice and notice that theres no seal on the bottle and it doesnt look full, this freaking kid sold me what appears to be a bottle used for in store samples! Total BULL! I'm very put off by this visit and wonder if I will return and it's a shame because other visits have been nice, this is a very good store but completely not worth visiting if you recieve open/used products, misinformation and attitude from people like this employee. Gave this place 2 chances. Bought a vape. As I am quitting smoking. No paperwork with machine as to how to clean it etc almost felt rushed not enough employees. Second time dealt with owner I did not feel he even knew where his own inventory was the place smelled like stinky stogies just my opinion. I would not recommend this shop. I will be seeking a different store where they know a little more I received more information from Johnson Creek online and via phone about how to work a vape that I did not even buy through them and the juice that would be best suited for me ie nicotine content amount of vapor etc. Just more helpful and not pushy. read more

I stopped by to buy a replacement coil for my kangertank and to buy a bottle of liquid. It was just ok. I wasn't sure what kind of juice I wanted, so I was asking to try a few different flavors. The guy seemed annoyed with me when I asked to try more than 1. I asked for recommendations, and he clearly didn't put any thought into it as I told him I liked rich creamy dessert type flavors and nothing he recommended was in that ballpark. I then found out that they charged $7 for 1 replacement coil. I've never seen prices that high for one coil. Thank god I had more on order in the mail. My recommendation: buy online. OR, if that's not am option, go to one of the Lineage Vapor stores in Derry, Nashua, or Londonderry. They're still way more expensive than anything online of course, but they only charge $4 for a replacement coil, they have a much better selection of liquids, and they're more helpful read more

Stopped in here because I was ready to upgrade to a box mod. The ecig I had was not cutting it. I was happy to see the store was empty when I arrived. Sometimes there will be people sitting there watching tv and smoking cigars, and while that is all fine and good, it makes people uncomfortable when everyone turns to look at you when you walk in. I was politely greeted by an employee (Hugo, I believe. Thats the name on my receipt anyway) and told him what I was looking for. He immediately showed me some different styles of box mods, and patiently explained all the bells and whistles to me. I was nervous about leaving the store with my new ecig and getting home and forgetting how to do something, and he assured me if i ever had any questions or forgot anything, I can always come back in and they are willing to help me with it. He was extremely courteous and made my purchasing experience stress free. Even before I left he was thinking out loud, trying to make sure he hadn't forgotten to explain something to me. He wanted me to leave feeling comfortable with my purchase. Thanks to him, they now have me as a customer for life. Thank you so much! :) read more
