What an amazing gem this is in King City!! I was coming home from a camping trip in the area. I saw the reviews, the pictures and I had to try it!! This is one special family owned restaurant. The food is amazing!! The portions are plentiful and the flavors are divine. I was greeted upon entry by a very lovely young lady. She was very nice and provided excellent customer service. I had the bang bang shrimp appetizer and let me tell you....BANG BANG!!! The shrimps were large and in charge. I got at least 6, maybe 7 or 8. I tried to count afterwards, but I mangle my tails looking for all the shrimp meat!! They were so crispy and crunchy. Super fresh and uber delicious. BANG BANG says it all!!! A must have menu item if you love shrimp. I also had 2 of their signature surf n' turf tacos and they were very yummy. Every order that came out for other patrons looked delicious. Everyone had that whoa look on their face when their food arrived. I saw some great looking Michelada's come out with big shrimps on the rim!! This was a pit stop before reaching the west entrance of Pinnacles NSP coming from the east entrance. Saw a lot of hype in the reviews and wanted to check it out. Ambiance: Walking in has the vibe similar to a sports bar but as a sit down restaurant that serves surf n turf. A wooden boat hanging up on the ceiling and themed with space & fishes. Service: The worker was nice, but the restaurant felt like it was understaffed. Surf and turf tacos $6.39 (3.5/5): If I'm being honest, as much as I wanted it to taste as good as the reviews say it is. It was good but not amazing nor bad. It had a good amount of asada and 2 fried shrimp with a tangy sauce. As I was eating it, it definitely needed more sauce, as the orange sauce was not enough. Had to use additional provided hot sauce. 2 is enough just to be kind of filling. All the hype in the reviews, it definetly does not live up to it at all. I really wanted this food to be super good! It has everything I would want. Fries, carne asada, and shrimp all together. However, just none of it really works well. The salsa is mild even at a request of their hottest stuff. Shrimp is cooked okay. Carne asada only had a few tough pieces, but it just didn't all fit together with the salsa. It felt like something was missing. The taco was much of the same. Staff is excellent and super attentive. Absolutely zero complaints. Huge burrito !! I'll be back. Had the surf and turf with fries and avocado on the side. Well it's actually not slices of avocado but it's blended with other ingredients into a sauce. Spicy. But really good tasting. The steak was chopped up small. I prefer cut up in chunks not chopped. There were only four medium shrimp in my huge burrito. Wish it had eight! Run, do not walk, here. This place is OUTSTANDING. The outside of the building isn't much to talk about; however, when you go inside you enter a very cool vibe space. They have lots of TVs playing whatever major sporting event is on at that time, so it's a great place to grab some fantastic food with friends and watch a game. I ordered the surf and turf burrito and I honestly don't think there are words to describe how good it was. The shrimp was a game changer. The Baja sauce is delicious, though for this white girl, very spicy. A lover of spice who has lost her tolerance, though, I was very happy...though I would make sure you have plenty to drink if heat gets to you. We also shared a small plate of the carne asada fries which were amaaazing. We barely made a dent in them and could still each barely finish half our burritos, so come hungry! I can't wait to heat up the leftovers. The service was great and food came out hot and fresh quickly. So the owner of this establishment needs to update its website or whatever Yelp and Apple Maps searches for as it is NOT a fast food restaurant. They have signs inside proudly saying that. They aren't not Pet friendly. There is no outdoor seating and when traveling with a young puppy, the puppy was not welcome. I asked. I ordered the Baja Fish sandwich. It arrived with orange cheese on it which was not listed as part of the sandwich on the menu. I returned it and the staff very politely replaced it with a new sandwich without cheese. There is nothing "baja" about the sandwich. While the freshly cooked fish was cooked nicely, the sandwich is basically a burger with the fish instead of the beef patty. Would I go here again? Maybe. Visited this location for a second time. This time we did the 6$ beef tacos and the Moms wedding fries with chicken and shrimp. I feel like i need to make an adjustment but to be fair And give them the benefit of the doubt I am reducing it by only one star. We went for Sunday lunch, my first observation was that on a cold morning/afternoon their single pane windows and a front door that does not close complexity makes for a frigid at best 63 degrees restaurant. Too cold in my opinion. Second, unlike my amazing burrito the previous visit the $6 beef tacos were dry and cold, and by cold I mean they would not even melt the cheese placed on them. Likewise the Wedding fries were disappointing, fries were warm but the cheese was unmelted. Maybe it was the sheer frigid temp in the restaurant but either way thoroughly disappointing and the opposite of the first visit. The chicken on the fries felt dry and cut into small pieces, thankfully the shrimp were delicious as were the onion rings. Maybe I just need to determine what they do well and avoid the rest of the menu but I feel like they have potential. So I leave this feedback hoping it will be taken to heart. As for the single pane windows and draft blowing through the front door, that seems like an easy fix. While I am not a chip and dip fan, my coworker chose that option. What was delivered was a massive platter of warm chips coupled with a guacamole dip and a chipotle dip. The flavors were unique but savory. While not my thing I must admit for someone who likes chips I am certain it would be theirs. I chose the Shrimp and Cod burrito, and reduced my expectations. All too often restaurants serve shrimp that feels blatantly frozen and over cooked. To my surprise the burrito was amazing. Shrimp soft and flavorful, cod paired well and the portion generous. I added a coconut lemonade and it was simply put, a great lunch. The service was quick and the staff polite. The interior clean and parking while somewhat limited seemed adequate for the occupancy size of the restaurant. I can't help but feel that in a better location ( Monterey perhaps) the restaurant could be twice its current size and full of patrons who can appreciate great food and a reasonable price. Found this spot when we were planning a trip to visit pinnacle national park. It's on the main road through king city and has a huge parking lot. The place is small but really chill inside, reminds me of a surf type shack. The food was on point! We tried the hot Cheeto burrito, surf and turf fries and a couple surf and turf tacos and I have to say it was all so good! The tacos are the size of small burritos the burrito is massive and the fries come in small and large, for for the small for just you and it's enough for two lol. First off the food from here is always delicious and i've never had issues with it but the customer service is horrible, i placed an order for one burrito and pickup time said it would be ready around 11:50, i waited till 12 since i wanted to give them time to make sure it was ready but it wasn't, when i asked the lady in the front how much longer it would take she gave me a horrible look as if she was annoyed and she said she'll see but never got back to me so i asked again and the ladies working there started telling me how i was in the wrong because i put pick up wrong in the system which was not true. My family and I stopped here off of the 101 and really enjoyed the food. The chips and salsa were really good and plentiful. They were 7.99 which seeeems kind of steep but you get so many chips! We got my toddler a kid's quesadilla which was really good and huge! It could double as an adult meal especially if you're not too hungry. I loved my chicken burrito bowl - the meat was nicely seasoned and not grisly at all. The service was good! There was only one guy in charge of serving and the cash register so he was busy. From the website it seemed like a quick service order and sit down type of thing but it's actually just a normal sit-down restaurant. They do have take-out as well. The ambiance was lacking - I mean it's a hole in the wall type of place so you really just come here for the food. The one thing that made this place lose a star was the bathroom. It was pretty bad. It was stocked with toilet paper and soap etc but it looked like no one had cleaned that toilet in moooonths. I mean it was really gross. And I hate to be so nit-picky - but when a restroom is not well kept it does make me wonder how their cleaning is everywhere else in the restaurant ya know?
