    California Burrito
    Miranda L.

I was really excited to try a new place, but I was left disappointed. Mexican food gone wrong... Food: we ordered nachos with asada, one pound of birria meat, California Burrito, regular asada burrito, and a combo plate with el pastor. The Chile verde was tasteless like grass, but the red salsa was better with heat. Nachos - the chips were way too thick to enjoy, the beans did not taste authentic tasting like manteca (pork fat), shredded cheese instead of the nachos cheese as depicted on the Yelp photo and small portion of guac. It reminded me a lot of Taco Bell because the poor quality. Birria - they have carniceria setup with made meats to buy. The birria was nothing close to birria. It was just slow cooked beef without any flavoring or mole/consome that birria should have. If you know birria, it's not dry and pairs with consome; this is not birria. was sad because I was excited a local place was selling birria California burrito - the asada was the best thing. The employee listed the ingredients for me and the burrito was missing some ingredients. If they ran out that's fine but they should inform the customer because now it not longer a California burrito. Asada burrito - this was a good option. The asada were full piece of asada and had good seasoning. Defiantly this over the birria Al pastor combo platter - the rice was okay, this meat tasted more similar to birria which had taste, and the beans were not good. Beans tasted like canned refried beans. The female at the register said it came with a side salad but that was missing too. Service: the female at the register was minimal and okay with answering my questions. She was generous with salsas. The biggest flaw was the missing food items and ingredients without any communication. Being transparent as a business is necessary to build rapport with local customers Environment: very simple plain and clean Overall: I would not come back because there is better Mexican food in town and worth your money. Just drive around the corner to Castro's Bakery or La Plaza Bakery or La Potranca on Broadway for authentic Mexican food made with love. Too many wrongdoings and it epitomizes Taco Bell, it really did not satisfy the homely Mexican food craving

Passing by on our way home from Big Sur, we stopped for the restroom that stayed for the meal. I enjoy a good Birra taco, so to see they had Quesabirra on the menu I had to hop on it! They allowed me to make a shrimp version, and it was the best decision. Very fresh, well cooked, and super flavorful. I also had the ceviche and that was just as good. With mango, the veggies are firm and fresh, setting this dish off. The small one is enough for a side dish. The cashier was super friendly, and the cook just as nice. A small place - ideal for takeout meals, but plenty of seating outside. Clean, organized, and inviting space. If ever I'm back in the area, I'll be sure to make this my pitstop. High recommended.

This restaurant is SO good. We had carnitas tacos and shrimp ceviche for lunch. You should try it if you're in the neighborhood. They make tortillas as well. There was a study stream of people coming in to buy tortillas. The owner, Juan told how they make some of the menu items. Everything looked good! We bought the last of their fish ceviche to have for dinner. It's in the complex with Starbucks.

Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for great Mexican food. Had the Birria tacos and they were excellent! The service was quick, the food was fresh and everyone was friendly. Great experience overall!

Came here because of the high rating but honestly, it was nothing special. It was good and prices were reasonable but it was just simple. They are generous with the meat portion but the salsa has no kick at all. Wanted to try the lengua but they had none. It's not terrible and I had no bad experience but there's a lot of other places who feel and taste a lot more authentic. Al pastor is simply the flavor or marinade, no trompo in sight.

We had the California Fries with carne asada and Super Burrito with Al pastor and they were sooo good. Definitely stop here in Ling City.

Good birria tacos, nice owner, and staff. They also have good al pastor to go for events and catering.

Huge fan of these tacos. I had 4 tacos, and they were each delicious. I would say that the Al pastor were especially good

We stopped here to split a plate of nachos as a road snack for the family. Everything was delicious and the bathroom was clean.

The best tacos in king city, the asada here is 100 times way better than la potranca. This is my taco spot now.

But most importantly the staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Octupus tostada, Shrimp and Octopus meal in red sauce, and a giant mango margarita with tamarind on the rim. Everything was delicious, and the cook came out to ask if the food was OK, he saw my wife licking the tamarind sauce off the margarita glass, and he brought a small cup of extra out for her. I also had a nice ice-cold michelada that hit the spot! My family ordered several different plates, and everyone loved their food. Great portions, delicious food, quick service, and genuinely wonderful people. We'll definitely be coming back whenever we're in King City. El Sinaloense is a must-stop! Highly recommend
