    That Sweet and Sour
    Maggie D.

This food is delicious and affordable. I ordered the Thai Sweet and Sour without spice and with tofu. It was amazing and filling - I am exciting to eat my abundant leftovers later! However, the inside needs a better ambiance. There was no music or background noise inside, so it would be a little uncomfortable dining in. Also, my carry out was given to me leaking into the bag. Otherwise, I will be back for carry out!

    L66. Szechuan Chicken Combo

Very disappointed in the food here. Egg roll had nothing in it but cabbage. Fried rice was bland and didn't contain anything but rice; no onions, peas, carrots or even fried egg! The Szechuan chicken was mostly veggies with a half dozen pieces of chicken. There was so much sauce in the entree that it seemed like soup. Didn't seem like anything was salted or had spices, other than the red peppers. Never again!!!

My $15 Mongolian Beef. Should just be called a trio of onions.

Paid $15 for Mongolian beef and I basically got a container full of onions. I obviously like onions if I ordered Mongolian beef but I have a hard time believing anyone would want this many onions.

Always good takeout! I usually get a combo meal with the wonton soup (my favorite). Orange chicken is good, and I like the lo mein here too.

Incredible food with large portions and fair prices. Try the cheese wontons and chicken sweet basil.

The gentleman asked if we had reservations. We did not. He simply said, "Then we'll have three more guests for the evening" or something along those lines. He was very kind. Before our friend arrived, a woman stopped by to welcome us. Top notch service so far! The ambiance is beautiful. The lighted tree and decor behind us was a lot, but it felt tasteful. Jack, our server, stopped by to get us water. When our friend arrived we had a lot to talk about. Jack stopped by several times and was very chill about us taking our time. He said he didn't mind if we still weren't ready and he'd return to check on us as often as necessary. Again, kindness and patience abound at Oriental Wok. The Ma La Dumplings were absolutely delicious. The filling was delicious and the spice level, which we knew would be spicy, was perfect. Truly a wonderful bite. I had Five-Spice Tofu. The tofu was crispy as advertised and the greens were in a very light and delectable sauce. Green onions were sprinkled with the greens. I feel sometimes greens like these are an afterthought at many restaurants. At Oriental Wok they were as much a star as the crispy tofu. Mark had Orange Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. He mentioned the orange flavor was perfect. Either Jack asked if we wanted dessert and I missed it or he didn't ask. Our friend thought maybe he did and she said no, but she couldn't be sure. I just remember him stopping by to ask if we needed boxes. Anyway, next thing I knew we had our checks. I really wanted dessert, but I took it as a sign it was time for us to wrap up. I'm absolutely certain he would have been more than happy to bring us some dessert and update our checks, so going without was on me and that's cool. I think it's safe to say we will be back!

Ordered green tea, a Jade Dynasty cocktail and pot stickers to enjoy while we perused the menu (including the picture book!). The pot stickers were delicious! More like meatballs inside, served with a I-don't-know-what-this-is-but-it's-delicious sauce. We ordered and were pretty quickly delivered our mains: How Fun noodles (level 2 spice) with chicken and Pepper Beef (level 3 spice). Both were outstanding! The sauces on both were savory and delicious. The noodles were great - not slimy like they can sometimes be but firm yet delicate. The chicken was tasty. The pepper beef was tangy and tender with a nice balance of peppers and onions. Serving sizes big enough for lunch the next day. Vibrant decor made the place really feel alive and servers were friendly and efficient. We found street parking but I assume this part of Covington gets busy on weekend nights so allow a few minutes to find a spot. Bonus tip: stop at DelGardo's down the street and get a couple cannoli for dessert. Perfect end to a delicious meal!

Restaurant was crowded but we were sat immediately. Service was good - not super attentive but we were able to order quickly. I had to ask for more water throughout the meal and then they brought checks and boxes before we asked while we were still eating. We ordered the dumplings, orange chicken and how fun noodles. They have a spicy scale of 1-10, I opted for the 5 on the how fun noodles, and they were spicy!! Made me wonder what a 10 would taste like. Dumplings were good - though the bottom broke on them while we were eating them. Definitely homemade! My daughter loved the orange chicken / it also had cucumbers which she didn't love. My noodles were okay - nothing memorable in terms of flavor and very spicy. Overall a bright, well themed restaurant but I don't think I'd go back for the food.

We got a side of the chili oil which were perfectly spiced. We came twice. We had a ton of food to try. The garlic cucumber starter was delicious. The one chicken dish that is in the starter section was labeled as spicy but was also boiled tasting. I did not like that at all. The spicy green beans were fantastic! It was also a huge portion. It was one of my favorite dishes we had. Other winners included the General Chicken which was made in a way that I hadn't tasted before. I wish it had more broccoli on the side because it was goooood The kung pao chicken was also a huge success. It came SPICY. The portions of all the entrees are huge. All of the other dishes that were ordered and shared were greeted with positive feedback. Highly recommended! The service was friendly. They could use one more person to help out because on our second visit they were in the weeds a bit. The parking on the street was a little rough.

The soup dumplings were pretty okay, honestly hard to judge only because I am from Southern California and there are a lot of dim. Sum/ dumpling establishments that are so legit.
