I adopted a cat from one of the employees that works here (and does rescue work on her own for people that need to find help for their multitude of animals) about 3 years ago, and I can't say enough nice things about the doctors and team. My girl can be spicy, and unfortunately I struggle to give her gabapentin, so the team know to to take precautions, and they do so well! They are quick and efficient, and able to get blood work completed with the help of towels, turning her into a cute little burrito. I keep up on her annual exams and vaccines, and had to visit once for a sick visit in these 3 years due to vomiting, and they got me in same day. I am so grateful to this team. You can tell they treat your cat like it is their own. read more

I've been bringing my cat to Dr. Alex for several years now after Cat Care Clinic was recommended to me by another vet. I wanted a clinic without dogs, as my cat is very skittish and hated hearing dogs barking at her veterinary checkups. From the very first time we came to CCC, I have been impressed and relieved by Dr. Alex's gentle manner. In fact the whole staff seems to share the same quiet, calm and gentle manner. My cat is now an old lady and needs monthly injections. The staff are all caring and kind and we are in and out in about ten minutes for these visits. I also appreciate Dr. Alex always personally calling or emailing me as soon as labs have been read. He explains all issues and possible courses of action. He is a wonderful, caring vet and I am very pleased with Cat Care Clinic. When I first got my cat, I was so excited to discover a dedicated cat clinic. I was a new cat owner, and the team at Cat Cat Clinic have repeatedly demonstrated themselves to be the friendliest, most professional, patient and attentive care team I could have ever hoped for. For my cat's general health and checkups, she has always been thoroughly checked, gently handled and her symptoms promptly addressed. And even in cases where all is fine, the vets have been incredibly patient and thorough in answering any and all questions. For acute situations, I know I can always call and receive advice or treatment I can trust for my cat. For boarding, I can't recommend enough. Their facility is clean and stimulating with two whole wings. Cats are afforded plenty of space and plenty of monitoring. Each gets individualized playtime (with both their toys and the toys and fun environment supplied), their meal schedules are exactly to their comfort as provided direction by owners, and they were even so kind as to send me regular photo and behavior updates while I was away abroad during the holidays--one of the most challenging times of the year. Serious kudos to absolutely everyone. If you're in any doubt, know that the vets themselves will leave their cats here for boarding, and I've seen the beautiful Neville--one of the vet's cats and the most regal ragdoll you've ever seen--patrolling (with careful supervision of course) Vet techs and and staff are incredibly approachable, quick and transparent, and clearly enthusiastic about their work and their patients, and of course the same must be said for the wonderful vets themselves My kitty has seen Dr. Weina and Dr. Alex and both of them are incredible. Dr. Weina was my first veterinary experience and was really helpful and detailed in her recommendations and evaluations, and Dr. Alex has been working with us on complex paperwork. He has been above and beyond with thoroughness, care, explanations and execution of it all. As a fairly recent pet owner, I don't have a ton of experience with Vet clinics, but I've had a great experience with Bellevue's Cat Care Clinic. Right off Bellevue way, the clinic is easy to find and parking doesn't seem like it would be an issue. The staff and doctors are friendly, and made the process very easy and comfortable for me and my cat, Garcon. My first visit was by way of a groupon (which is currently unavailable) which made for a great value to get in for a checkup, nail trim, deworming, and parasite screening. I also added his updated immunizations while I was there. Their prices appear to be on the higher side, but that is to be expected if you're a Bellevue pet owner. As long as you have insurance for the unexpected, I think it is worth paying a bit of a premium for friendly quality service that you don't need often. My buddy made himself at home fairly quickly. The exam rooms are clean and organized- and create a safe space for your cat to quickly get acclimated. For the nail trimming (or presumably other procedures) they have you wait in the exam room while they take your cat elsewhere. Given my limited experience and exposure, I would say the Cat Care Clinic is worthy of your Cat's needs. read more

I originally came here because I found a Groupon for a visit. I have 3 cats and I found someone's tooth on the floor so I went into panic mode. I brought in one cat for the Groupon regular exam but of course he didn't have the missing tooth. After explaining my situation with Dr. Neale he suggested I bring in the other two cats to quickly check them and he wouldn't charge me full exam fees for both. The next week or so I brought in the other two and we found out whose tooth was out. My cat Ziggy was given some vaccines and scheduled for his dental cleaning. None of my cats have had dental cleanings before so I was nervous but Dr. Neale went through everything with me and called me mid-procedure to ask if he could pull some other teeth that were bad. I was able to pick my cat up a little before rush hour since I live farther away and was relieved everything went accordingly. The cleaning/extractions were very expensive but they accept CareCredit. I wish they had some sort of wellness plan where patients can pay monthly and receive certain services every year (check ups, teeth cleaning, vaccines etc.). Maybe this is something the clinic can consider in the future. Overall the staff is very nice and I am so glad I came here. I plan to continue using them as my vet clinic. read more

My kitty needed an unexpected visit on a weekend and unfortunately my usual vet was booked until Wednesday. I was so grateful Cat Care Clinic modified their schedule to make time for me and even called me back a few hours after I made my initial appointment with another earlier slot that had just opened up. They were friendly when they picked up my furry baby from the car and called me in the parking lot to give me updates on how the exam and tests were going and assured me he was being a good boy. I really appreciated the diagnostic skill of Dr. Foss in trying to figure out what was causing his strange symptoms. She helped to eliminate several possibilities and sent him home with some medication and a follow up plan. She even called me later that week to review the xrays that had been taken and ensure I was following up with my regular vet for the additional testing. Returned for a quick visit to get a vaccine and I've now been told that my cat is aggressive and would need to be drugged if I brought him back here. This has never happened before, my cat has never been aggressive or had any issues at any previous vets. I'll be finding a new vet next time. Seattle area has no shortage of pet clinics, but in my experience, Cat Care Clinic has been a true gem. My cat was a senior cat who got resistant and wiggly when it came to vet visits. They have been very patient and gentle with her. Not only that, Dr. Alex has always been caring, thoughtful, and timely when explaining her medical concerns to me. The technicians and receptionists are also responsive and helpful. The PetDesk app is easy to use. In my opinion, the pricing is reasonable, and you can redeem points for discounts as well. Unfortunately, my kitty's condition worsened through no fault of the clinic's. After I received her ashes, I was truly touched to get a handwritten card and hand-drawn picture of my late kitty. It was comforting to know she had been taken care by a caring, technical, and emphatic team until the end. The only downside is now I have moved further away from the clinic, so taking my future cats here would be a longer drive. read more

My cat Elsa has boarded many times and had dental procedures + general check ups many times. Every time she's been all of the staff, vets, and techs have been truly the kindest people. They all truly care about animals and Elsa has always enjoyed her vacation when she's there. They genuinely do love cats and do so much for any that visit their practice. I was waiting to leave a review until it had been over a year. Up until now, it was 4 or 5 stars. 6 stars (yes, 6) alone for Dr. Alexander. There are two reg receptionists / techs who do pretty outstanding for the most part, so I've forgiven them for when they don't alert me ahead of time when THEY cancel my cat's appointment. Which has happened at least twice before now. I've kept going there because Dr. Alexander is exceptional. But today was the last straw with the owner's awful management of the facility. I'm very busy and lack transport, arranging for appointments when I can. I should have been personally called if they needed to cancel. I can understand surgeries can come up, but if you have a receptionist, you can call! On top of that, the receptionist I spoke to said Dr. Alexander wasn't available Wednesday because he doesn't work those days (another receptionist told me differently), yet somehow he's available now? Poor communication, which would've helped if they at least attempted to call me. I will be taking my cat elsewhere. If I'm going to spend hundreds, it'll go to a business that has their s**t together. read more

My family adopted a stray kitty, Mezzo Forte, who seemed pretty itchy. I found Cat Care Clinic when googling for cat-only vets in the area and was extremely impressed by the Doctor and Staff! They have designated parking out front and are next to a couple popular restaurants. My appointment was with Dr. Hodges. Sure enough, Mezzo Forte was riddled with fleas (a lot of fleas:/). Dr. Hodges and staff took care of that with some medicine, and taught me a lot about food, vaccines, microchipping, and general care. They even gave her some treats and food in the exam room. The atmosphere is clean and bright. Everybody seems happy. Also, they have a tropical boarding room for cats (I boarded my kitty with them while on vacation). I recommend this vet clinic! read more

I'm no fan. Will NEVER go back and I live 13 blocks away and own three beautiful cats. Brought my tabby in for an exam, I wanted to get his teeth cleaned, the vet had zero personality or compassion and my experience was all about the upsell as opposed to the steps best to help cat the proposed bill was way over $1300 for a teeth cleaning with all the "well you should", first earn my business! Lame. Oh, and I spent the $140 I was expecting to apply towards a cleaning on nothing but a rabies booster. Did I mention lame? We used to go to Newport Hills Animal Hospital and I'll spend the extra time going back. We have many pets, this is the worst vet I've met. read more

I just want to leave a glowing review for the entire staff at cat care clinic. This past week my dear cat and friend Leela had to be put down at the clinic. The entire staff was incredible during this time. The vet gave me a hug when it was over because I was very emotional at the loss of my pet. Another member of the staff actually cried as I cried. These people really care. after it was all over and I got my pets remains. They included a card with each and every member of the staff writing their best wishes on it. I wish I could give more than five stars. The owner's response defines his lack of customer service and refusal to take accountability for his unprofessional actions. If this business sees a negative review as an insult rather than a learning experience, that's a missed opportunity. Why don't they take feedback and learn from it? I was never given a written estimate when dropping off my cats nor was I asked about sedation at that time. I'm not sure where the doctor received this information. The doctor was not at the front desk when I dropped off my cats and we never spoke that morning. After learning of my cat's incident, I asked the doctor if it's common protocol to contact an owner when their animal defecates and urinates due to stress and he responded with, "So, what's your point?" Does that sound professional to you? Not at all. What happened to cause my animal that much stress? I still have no idea but I won't be back to find out, and neither should anyone else. Want more horror stories from this place? Back in December of last year our cat received a vaccination from a female doctor. Two days later we noticed a horrible rash and missing fur near the puncture. The doctor blamed our cat and claimed he must have got into a space where his fur ripped out. It took another ridiculous bill for this office to realize the reaction was from an improper vaccination. There are so many other wonderful vets in the area and the other negative reviews for this office should be an indication to go elsewhere. This place is CLASSLESS. We've spent an insane amount of money only to have our poor cat returned to us covered in urine and feces. This wasn't communicated to us until we picked him up so we don't know how long he was sitting in his own feces. And, good luck getting out of this place with a bill under $200. We were constantly pressured into sedating our cats. Is this to make their jobs easier? Possibly. To make more money? Very likely. I was absolutely appalled with the way the owner spoke to me on the phone, so much that I told him our call would be ending because of his behavior and that we would never be back. I've never spoke with such a classless and disrespectful man in my life. I will never recommend this office to friends, family or neighbors. As the fur parent of elder cats I find the staff to be caring, knowledgeable, professional and dedicated to making sure my babies have the quality of life they need and deserve. Just the other day I stopped by to pick up Fluffyella after an ultrasound. It was a check that that cancer had not spread to other organs. While it was OK, things were not OK for the distraught man who came in with his poor kitty that some cretin had hit with a car. I used to go bring my Bengal here until I moved to Seattle. I am now back in Bellevue. I got home at 5:00 yesterday and the bengal was coughing up blood. I called the clinic and was told they were open till six and they had their last appointment at 4:30. In my stressed condition I thought Great I am on my way. When I arrived at 5:55 they had already locked the door and when I knocked they somewhat flippantly told me that what they were saying was though they are open till 6 they do not take appointments after 4:30. Bottom line I thought my cat was dying and they turned me away. I found a 24 hour clinic on 156th and they examined the cat gave him some anti nausea meds, Pepcid and a shot of antibiotics and he seems fine now. I can not believe that knowing I was on the way they could have called me back or helped me. To turn me away was unforgivable. read more

I cannot speak to their daily veterinary services, but I do not recommend boarding, especially if you are trying to find veterinary boarding services for an older cat or cat with special needs. While away for a celebration of life, my cat nearly died in their care. My cat was found severely dehydrated, listless with low blood pressure and cold temperature on a Sunday. The clinic had experienced a gas leak evacuation in Friday which I suspect stressed the cats highly. Either her food was mixed up in the chaos or the stress caused her pre existing IBD to flare up and she stopped eating and drinking. At a minimum I expected a vet clinic to monitor whether she was eating or drinking, because even the emergency vet she was taken to, couldn't explain the severity of her dehydration if she had been eating or drinking the day before. I suspect she was not and no one bothered to attend to this. Of course the clinic takes no responsibility and cannot provide any adequate explanation. Because they were closed Sunday, they couldn't even attend to her and she had to be taken to an emergency vet. I am sure they will try to pin this all on her age and IBD, but the point is she never needed to get to that state had they been attentive to her eating and drinking the day before. For the record she has had an IBD flare up in the past and it took awhile before she was dehydrated. Also for the record she had been in boarding 3 times before and at a previous clinic they kept a record of her eating. Several thousands and a changed flight later, they refused to give me any discount even though my cat did not stay there the entire time and I expressed disappointment. When I said I would not use these services again, the managing vet just said "Ok". This lack of empathy and attitude was icing on the cake. Will advise anyone not to board here. Find another Vet boarder and ask questions. read more

Dr. Rachel Getgen was helpful in explaining everything that could be causing his weight loss, offered samples of joint medication that could help with his arthritis, and food that might help him gain weight. We love our vet :) All of us; my fiancé and I and our two furry children. They take amazing care of them. Our big boy Sweeney is 6, he usually is afraid of other people, but was so happy with their gentle nature. Our little girl Marilyn is 19, she loves everyone but does have a few health issues. She's treated so carefully and lovingly while in the care. Both the doctor and the staff truly care and our very detailed about treatment of our sweet furry babies. I've been taking my kitties here for about five years and have had nothing but outstanding care. I switched to them after using a regular vet hospital where the dogs and excess noise would freak my cats out. This office is nice and quiet and feels very peaceful. When something was very wrong with my baby I brought him in and was seen by the owner. After his initial exam he told me he was pretty sure it was bladder crystals, and after testing he was right. He had to stay for a few days and I was given regular updates. Another time my kitty got very sick with an infection and had to stay over the weekend. The vet called regularly to give me updates, and even let me stay with him while they were open on Sat. She was very kind and knowledgeable about what I should expect and made sure I understood everything that was going on. They're good vets and good with the humans, too. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time. Yes, they are probably more expensive than the chain store vets, but you get what you pay for. They are not set up to be an emergency clinic, so Aerowood is probably your best bet in that case. I have gotten same-day appointments before, but not always. read more

I have brought all my cats over the years to this clinic. I have only seen the same vet twice, seems to be high turnover rate. My last visit was for a coughing cat. I was told to put her on expensive steroids and run tests. I declined, hoping to find another solution. Dr. Hoover basically implied that I was a poor pet owner and should get the meds, if not, I should think about surrendering my cat and she could help to find a loving home...Really? Turns out she is allergic to lavender, and a new household spray I purchased and used in her room contained it. Got rid of spray, cat got rid of cough, didn't have to find a new home for my baby girl. This clinic pushes you to buy expensive food and tries to push tests and meds every time I have come in. I will not return to this clinic, nor would I recommend anyone else to it. read more

This was a great place to take my kitten. I felt comfortable and at ease from the second we got their. They were great to ask questions and get to know my kitten. Even though I was boarding him I was able to meet the vet as well as see the facilities. Upon my return the vet even called me to tell me about his visit and vaccinations they gave him, that I requested before. Not only were they professional, knowledgeable and caring with me as a new pet owner they treated my kitten woefully. They spent time with him, played with him and made him feel as comfortable possible. I bought a groupon deal for a first exam for my cat. I was very pleased during the first visit (even though my cat puked when I arrived home from all the stress they gave her) and the staff told me to come again with a fecal sample for testing if the dewormer worked as expected. After one week I went with the sample and waited for the results. After 3-4 days I called the clinic asking about the results as I was not informed yet and they told me that they didn't sent the sample for testing as they were not concerned and that they didn't charge me (the staff speaking at the phone was trying to make me happy that they didn't charge me and was acting like this is the right way to communicate to a pacient that they didn't do what was supposed). First of all I payed for that test in the deal price, as it was included, and second if I make the time to pass by and leave the sample would be really nice of you as a business to do it and not tell me "if you really want it done you can come again and leave us another sample" really!!!?? So I am supposed to drive again for 30 minutes to give you another sample which might not go to the lab again....I was really dissapointed and angry by the attitude they had. Also, the prices are a little too high for the services they provide and vaccines can be done at a much lower rate at other vets. read more

I brought my Lilac Pt Himalyan in, because I knew I needed Methigel and SO food for a urinary condition. I also just adopted a shelter kitten, which appeared to have a cold. Short version, I left with a $529 bill for these two check-ups and the cat food. The kitten still has the same condition, and I feel I have to seek out another facility just to be able to afford its care. Also, during their examinations, I had to point out some things that were known from previous exams and over-looked. Just wish I had a more "seasoned" cat vet...and one that didn't feel they had to charge for every incidental. read more
