We've used them a number of times for vacations of 2 weeks or so. The cats never like going there, but then don't want to leave when we go pick them up. After the 1st couple of days to settle in, the staff - with permission - let them out to roam, and our most gregarious cat just loves it. The others venture out for pets and exploring, but our Wolfie likes to socialize and seek out the best beds and snacks. He gets rounded up and put in his kennel at night, and we can view them on video if we log in (as provided for each 'accommodation'). The staff are nice and seem to enjoy and get to know the cats. One caveat: it is a Cat Hotel and suited to accommodate the cats 'wants' and preferences. It is not pristine, gets a little funky smelling, and housekeeping and fresh towels are not on demand. Boxes are checked, food is served, and our cats have yet to complain that the pool is not kept clean, so judging from their reticence to check out, it works for them. Windows for bird watching, lots of perches to explore, and they get to roam and not be cooped up which I know they appreciate. Excellent value and flexible customer service (we've missed a flight before, and had a "at the deadline" pick up, and there were no problems). I think the cats prefer it to staying stuck at home and having someone drop-in to feed, water, and check on them. read more

I absolutely love this place. When I first brought my cat here, I was in a bind. I originally was going to take him to Pets Hotel at PetSmart. My cat has asthma, so when I made the reservation with PetSmart, they ensured me that they could take my cat and give him his inhaler. The day that I was to drop my cat off to PetSmart, someone from the store calls me telling me that they can't take my cat because of his asthma. Extremely upset, and worried, I started looking for another place to send my cat, as I was leaving the next morning on a very early flight. I called Cat Sitting Hotels, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up a reservation. I told them about my cat's asthma and they told me that they were trained in how to administer inhalers for cats, another huge relief. The facility is super cute and cozy. Super nice staff who are genuine cat lovers. The cats get alot of free time outside of their kennels. I love the webcams where you can see your loved one whenever you want and they ask you questions about your cats personality, feedings, and more. It was a successful stay from him last time, so I have used them again since then and plan to again. I am seeing some other reviews with claims of injuries to cats and other things. Not saying that these reviews aren't true, just that I have not had those experiences so far. One note of critique is to make sure that you keep your proof of payment, specifically surrounding your deposit. They charge a 200.00 deposit for stays during the holidays, and when I dropped my cat off, I was quoted the full price of his stay. I had to remind the person helping me of my deposit to ensure that I was charged correctly. read more

While I was busy with water damage repairs at home, they looked after my 12-year-old cat. Usually I hire a pet sitter for daily visits when I'm away, and my cat sometimes doesn't take it well and stays nervous for days even after my return. She's never been at a new place without me being around, and being around other cats.. I wasn't even sure. However, seeing how their cat guests interacted with the staff put my mind at ease almost immediately. I could tell how much care & affection they're getting from the staffs. The webcam assigned for each unit was a bonus! My cat ended up staying there for two months due to the construction delay. The staffs have been so understanding & accommodating throughout the multiple extensions. And despite all my worries, my cat seems like she has just returned from a relaxing vacation :) I wish the same experience for you & your cat as well! read more

I had a good experience leaving my adult cat with Cat Sitting Hotels for a week and a half. Their condos are a good size, with lots of vertical space for cats to jump and move around in when they are not let out. I was happy that my cat could spend time running around and socializing with other cats while I was gone. My understanding is that this is handled rather responsibly based on owner supplied information and an introduction period --this seems like a good balance. Owners' instructions and staff notes are displayed prominently on care sheets affixed to condo doors. To ensure administering two daily pills was simple for staff I included a bag of pill pockets, which I know my cat will readily eat. Staff at Cat Sitting were quick to fix a web camera issue when I reported that one of the streams was not working. This was greatly appreciated, as were a handful of pictures of my cat during sent my way during his stay. Thank you! read more

I really wanted to love it for a number of reasons: the crates are generously sized, well equipped, and kept clean, there is live web cam feed for every crate, and pricing is very reasonable. Also, the first 2 of the 4 days my cat was there they texted me adorable photos of him having a great time with staff and other cats. The fact that he wasn't confined to a crate the whole time was one of the major plusses for me. However, they asked at the time of booking whether he had special dietary needs, to which I answered yes, so I just assumed that they had procedures in place to prevent the cats from eating each other's food, like keeping them enclosed in their own crates during meal times, but this is not the case. If your cat is allowed to roam, he will be allowed to enter any crate that happens to be open and have unlimited access to whatever food may be in there. Secondly, there is not a good system in place for clear communication between staff members. We needed to extend our cat's originally scheduled stay by 1 day and when I asked whether he still had enough of his specialty food left, I was initially told over the phone that he did not. In that conversation, they agreed to go ahead and feed him something else, because I felt a *small* amount for 1-2 meals max would ultimately be less harmful than not giving him anything. Later that day, I received a text from someone else stating that my cat had "plenty" of his own food left, so I thought it was a non-issue. Then when I picked him up and expressed concern because he seemed unusually lethargic, I was told by yet a 3rd person that he had not been fed in at least 12 hrs because he WAS out of his specialty food and they thought they weren't supposed to give him anything else. After all of this, I came to learn that he had been given open access to other cats' food literally the entire time he had been there, which is why he wasn't feeling well in the first place. He had been eating who knows what not just for 1-2 small, controlled meals at the end of his stay out of sheer necessity as discussed, but in unlimited quantities for 4 straight days. It caused severe GI upset and he did not eat anything at all for the first several days after we brought him home. Once he did start eating again, he had diarrhea for over 2 weeks, which he has never had before. So, I guess the takeaway is that if your cat has special dietary needs, you need to very specifically instruct them not to let him out of the crate at all, because once he's out, he can go wherever he wants - including other cats' crates. There are no procedures in place to restrict access to other foods in that scenario, and they do not keep track of what your cat is eating or when outside of his own feeding times. And you probably need to have a separate conversation with every person who's going to be working during your cat's stay, because there does not seem to be any communication between employees. And definitely do not give them your only copy of vaccination paperwork, because you may never see it again. They lost my only copy, which had the metal serial tag attached. I was told it could be mailed to me, but nearly a month later I still haven't gotten it and there's been no further communication about it. It's obviously just not important since they got paid in full. I hate to say it, because there were some positives I really liked as I initially mentioned, but I would be very hesitant to trust them with a special needs cat again, unfortunately. read more

We have been bringing our 2 year-old cat here since she was a kitten and even though it is a longer drive for us in Seattle, it has been well worth it. I love having the webcam available to check in on her from time to time and the photos they send during the trip of her roaming freely with other cats gives me peace of mind. All that being said, I think if you have an older cat or one with special needs or a cat that prefers to be away from other cats, this may not be the right fit for you. The set up of the rooms is very casual. Cats who are comfortable with other cats (like ours) can wander around other open cages and rooms and interact with the toys provided. Want to lose your cat and not be told until you go to pick them up? Cat sitting hotels it is! This was my first experience using the Cat Sitting Hotel. We were in a pinch and needed the cats out of the house for a nite. Both Greg and Lori were really nice, and were communicative about availability and boarding-- however it didnt change the fact that: 1. They lost my cat, and didnt tell me. 2. The webcam wasn't operating. 3. They didnt ask for updated vaccination/ vet emergency contact info. I booked my cats for a weekend and ended up picking them up early. We only needed them boarded for 1 nite, but they have a minimum of 3 nites. I reached out to let them know I would be by to pick them up after the 1 nite. Greg was cool with that and when i get there he says ONE MY CAT WAS MiSSING! Yikes. I would have known right away if the cameras were operating but mine wasn't working. Thankfully my missing cat was still inside the building and made her way into another pen. Felt unprofessional though...it had only been 1 nite AND this cat requires medication, AND greg didnt know about it until I came to get them? Again both greg and lori were really nice, and care about animals, but after all that, they still charged me for the 3 nights , and lost my cat?! I've been going through hard times with my son as far as housing options and these guys stepped in and have taken our cats...OUR BABIES....as their own until we can get back on our feet. They work with us as far as payments and our cats are always happy and healthy when we visit. Like the other reviewers' cats, our cat had diarrhea - still does, but is finally getting a bit better after a couple of weeks. She refused to eat her regular food, and our vet says that she probably associates it with her trauma during her stay here. When we communicated with the owner, he was unconcerned when I mentioned that our cat had a fever for a couple of days and we were about to take her to the vet. He did however offer to pay us back for one pouch of the cat food. *eyeroll* He did not even apologize. Unless your cat is used to sharing food and litterbox with just about any other cat, you might be risking getting back a sick kitty. read more

I'm SOOOOO glad we found this kitty hotel for our cat when we needed to be out of town for an extended period of time. It is SUCH a great bonus to be able to watch your beloved pet (fur-baby!) via the live-feed camera they have set up for each individual "hotel room." My husband refused to peek at our cat (he had a lot of guilt - obviously our cat knows what she's doing), but I checked in with her daily and just was so relieved to see her getting pets and attention and moving about her space. As a bonus, I could check her food and water dishes, even see her potty -- everything was well tended to here. I also noticed that one of her items that we left wasn't being used in the proper way, so we were able to notify the hotel how our cat prefers it (a finicky kitty? no way! ha!) and they corrected it. Each cat gets time to roam about the whole hotel daily and sit on laps, play with teasers/toys or snoop around...the staff here also comes by the rooms and give pets periodically too. Pack up special food if you want for your kitty and treats -- they're great at spoiling your cat as much as you do. I really felt like my cat got great treatment here...and I highly recommend this hotel to others with cat fur-babies!! A few notes: yes, it doesn't look like much from the outside (we drove right past it!), but it's great for kitties on the inside! Do remember to bring some of your cat's favorite things so s/he will have them to play with in the hotel and have some remembrances of home too! read more

We rescheduled our reservation for several times, and they are always patient and hospitable. They accept all kinds of customization. I brought our own cat tree(they provides huge rooms), litter box, litter, and food(both wet and dry). Our cat Hulu had never lived with other cats before and she was really shy when she met new people. However, she got along with Casey and Milli much more better than expected. They play with her frequently and I saw Hulu was even sleeping on their desk lol. I can feel Hulu's happiness from the pictures I received.(They also share Hulu's life through email to me) Too much thank to both Casey and Milli. This is an amazing place. The owner originally started this business because about 25 years ago he had an experience. His mom and he went on vacation. They took their beloved cats to a cat boarding hotel. When they returned from vacation, they went to pick up the beloved pets only to find that the place had lost one of their cats, so he was devastated, THIS IS WHY HE STARTED THE CAT SITTING HOTEL. He is very serious about how important pets are to their owners. Our pets are sometimes just as important as our children, and in some cases they are just that OUR fur babies completely. Sorry son, but my pet sticks with me forever. Unconditionally. As a matter of fact my own son and his wife have no children and have 3 cats also. This is hands down the best cat boarding facility in Seattle. The team that works here is always so willing to work with you and your kitties even if they require special needs. They do get booked to capacity during holidays so it's smart to schedule your boarding ahead of time to ensure your kitties have a suite. The camera system is one of our favorite features so we can check in our boys when we miss them. The woman that assisted us the past few times, Hilary, is amazing with cats. I swear she is like our own local cat whisperer. Truly a gem and we are so glad we finally found a boarding facility that can be a vacation for our boys when we go on vacation and not a nightmare for both of us. I really liked this place, but the low review is due to the fact that BOTH of my cats got sick immediately after their stay and cost me a few hundred dollars to go to the vet. One of my cats got a stomach bug and had diarrhea until I took her to the vet. The other one got an upper respiratory infection even though she had her vaccinations all updated :( My poor babies. Wow! We have always gone to Purrfect Pet sitting in Shoreline and been very happy with the accommodations and care. However when we tried to book in September they had nothing available but the tiny, standard cat cages - and they're just too small for my two cats, and seem like prison! So after a lot of research we decided to give the Cat Sitting Hotel (formerly of Bothell and now in West Seattle) a try. First off - they're cat "condos" are amazing! Huge and with plenty of "shelves" for cats to enjoy. Second - they offer cat cameras - tune in to see your pets at any time (I have a Petzi at home, so this was great!) Third - the cats are allowed to be social. As long as your cat is into it, they open up the doors and let the cats hang out. It was wonderful for my super antsy, angsty MaineCoon, and my Tuxedo Boy is SUPER social, so he loved it. The staff are all super wonderful cat people and the fees are about the same as anywhere else. The location in West Seattle is super easy to get to, and their hours are great. I highly recommend! In fact, we pre-booked for Christmas! read more

I boarded my cat here twice. On the second time, one of my cat's rear leg was covered in feces that already dried out, which means she's been covered in feces for a couple of days. I also gave them my own cat bowls, but they ended up mixing the bowls up. I would not board my cat here anymore. read more

This really pains me to write this updated review, as I felt that a few people that work there are really nice folks... But this place is suffering from not being able to keep up with particulars as they grow... The last two times I've left my little buddy at this place, I've had the following happen to me... 1. They moved him from cage to cage (to different rooms, even after we specifically asked that he stay in one very specific room) and did not notify us. How did we find out? We went online to see the webcam, and saw his cage and everything he had was gone. We called and left voice mails, and heard no response for hours. 2. Our cat is skittish, and can be an escape artist. We asked (and wrote down on an easy to read 1-pager with various other notes) that he not be let out without someone being in the room. When we came to pick him up, they had ALOT of cats out and about and LOST our cat! After a minor heart attack, they finally found him, scared to death and hiding under a desk. When I went down to get him from one of the "care takers", and saw a lot of things lying around that he could have been hurt by. 3. We have left him with toys, shirts of our scent, anything that was familiar to keep the little guy happy. Sadly, the last three times, our items were not returned and LOST when we came to pick him up. Some items were finally found, and others...not so much. The positives is that the head manager, Greg, is a nice and calming personality (which made writing this very hard). Our cat really likes him. Sadly, I feel Greg is not doing the day to day as much anymore with the rapid growth of his business. He's hired a few people, but only one (Ashley) was great, but she can't be there 24/7, obviously. I had a soft spot for this place, because they showed such care for our boy when we first moved to the area. But the last three visits cemented our decision to find a new sitting service. read more

I left my 4 month old kitten here for a week while away on vacation and could not have been more satisfied with the service we received. I will admit that from the outside this place does not look very appealing but the facilities inside are kept clean and well ventilated with lots of fans on hot summer days. I was initially a little hesitant to leave my little guy as the wires on the rooms seemed large enough for him to squeeze through if he tried. I presented my concern and Greg, the owner, had already given some thought to this and we were able to come up with a solution before I left. I checked in periodically using the webcams which is a great feature and one of the reasons I chose to go with them in the first place. If you allow it, they let your cat out periodically to run around the large rooms that the individual cat spaces are in. They do allow multiple cats that get along out together unless you specifically request otherwise. My little guy became quick friends with one of the extended stay resident kitties and he was out and about often. Since I was unable to see him on the webcam when he was out Greg would email me photos of him playing and relaxing happily in their office space. We were actually a little worried he wouldn't want to come home, he looked so happy in the photos! If anyone is concerned with the cats being able to run out the front door when they are allowed out of their individual spaces for interactive play time, it seems they have already thought about this and created a double door by fencing in the entrance door. Worst case, your cat would dart out the door onto a fully enclosed front porch. I will definitely use their service again for future vacations. read more

We asked for recommendations from the vet and they places they recommended were similarly prices, but the reviews weren't very good, and the enclosures seemed really small. The Cat Sitting Hotel was a little more expensive, but I liked the fact that we could check on the cats with the web-cam, and it seemed like Greg and the staff were a lot more attentive than the other options. When we picked up the cats they seemed very comfortable there, and the facilities were clean and perfectly suited for their purpose. We will definitely use the Cat Sitting Hotel again when we need to board our two cats. read more

We left our two kittens here for almost two weeks over the Christmas vacation. Very friendly atmosphere, and it seemed as if the staff really cared and got to know their residents, even at this very busy time. Our kittens came home looking quite happy - even though one of them is quite reserved. We liked the web cams that let us see our kittens from across the Atlantic (and from airplane using the in-flight WiFi!). So exciting to watch our kittens in the litter box on Christmas Day! Even with a surcharge for Christmas Day (but not for New Year's Day) the price seemed very fair. Recommended, and we will use them again. read more

We boarded our two kittens at another cat boarding place and had a horrific experience. Both our cats came home violently ill and with-drawn. We were very upset and heart broken that they were under such stressful conditions. I came across Cat Sitting Hotels on the internet and their web cam took my interest right away. I visited the facility and Greg took the time to show me around and answer all my questions. I was still really nervous about leaving my kitties behind so being able to check on them via the web cam helped ease my worries. When we came home, my heart was racing again with worries but they immediately melted away when I saw my kitties looking healthy and just fine. We've boarded our kitties with Greg on more than 4 occasions now and I suspect that our kitties actually look forward to spending time with Greg! They immediately go into the rooms they usually stay in and start exploring and sniffing around. It's so nice not having to worry about our kitties so much anymore and we cannot express in words how much we appreciate Cat Sitting Hotels! read more

First of all, my kitty is fine, and I do think he was fine most of the time he was at the Cat Hotel. They gave him his food and his medication and he survived the ordeal. For me, however, my peace of mind was really wrecked during my time away from my pet and after my experience with the people at Cat Hotels I would not consider working with them again. Even though, again, I think my cat did fine and didn't suffer any trauma with them, I really left there lacking confidence in their ability to do their job. They were overwhelmed by kitties. I paid extra money for a stay during the holidays - so they should've hired extra staff - but I didn't get the feeling that my extra fees were helping them run the business any more smoothly over the busy holidays. Here's what happened: First, my kitty was put in a room with a web cam where I could see him. The first couple of days I could check on him, see him just sitting there, or sleeping, or looking out the window, or whatever, so that was fine. Then, I got an email saying that they were a bit concerned about him because he wasn't eating his food. Was he usually like that, and what did I do to get him to eat? Well, he's not usually like that, he's usually ravenous and snarfs up whatever we give him, but I thought he might have a period of adjustment to being in a new place, so he was probably just stressed out. But, when I went to check on him again with the web cam - he was no longer there. I wrote them an email responding to their "he's not eating" email and I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. Now you can imagine how upset I'm starting to get because first I hear he's not eating and then I can't see him anymore! I tried opening all the different web cams in the place but some of them I was unable to log on to and they have so many web cams that I eventually had to give up trying. It was heartbreaking to not be able to see him any more and not hear back from them how he was doing. Finally after 3 whole days - what seemed like an eternity for this worried pet parent - they wrote me back and said he was moved to a different room and they gave me the link to that web cam. Nothing about the food or how he was doing or anything. So, at least I was able to see him again, and I could tell he was surviving. Later, I got an email of apology about not telling me that they had moved him and not following up on the questions about his food. The guy who wrote me the email admitted that they should've been more on the ball in answering my email, oh, and a voice mail I had left, too! But I let it go and just reassured myself that I'd be collecting my cat soon. When we went to pick him up after the holidays were over, it took forever to get us checked out of there. No one seemed in charge; none of the people who had written me emails or checked me in at the beginning were there. I saw my kitty and he was fine, but I needed to collect his pet bed and his medications. They looked all over for his pet bed but couldn't find it. It was supposed to be in his cubicle with him, but it turned out it was in some other cat's cubicle!! The cameras did not work. And when I picked my cat up he had lost a lot of weight. He was there 6 nights. Had to take him to the vet today. Asked owners questions about how much he ate, or did not eat and if he used the litter box. No response. Very disappointed. read more
