Well curated thrift store with great variety and reasonable prices. I have been coming here for years but I am an infrequent shopper since I am not over in this part of town often. When shopping today I noticed they now offer25% & 50% discount on tag color. That is a nice improvement to help move older merchandise while offering greater bargains to their customers. There seemed to be more volunteers today than in past visits. The downside of that is that despite having extra staff on the floor they were more involved and conversing internally and topics seemed better suited for a private break room. When making my purchase, I felt badly interrupting their conversation. I shouldn't have to feel that way. And they should've welcome me when I went into the store. I scored an excellent bargain so I'm happy with the store and will continue to go back. However, management should be aware of this flaw and work diligently to improve customer service and provide a more welcoming environment to shoppers and supporters. read more

This is the cutest thrift store I have ever been to. Best value for your money too. I had just come from the union gospel thrift store where each piece of clothing averages between $8.99-14.99. This shop has name brand clothes, in great condition, for $3.99-4.99. ( JCrew, clothes from Nordstrom, CK, Etc). With their sales, I purchased about 20 shirts For $29. As a bonus, all donations go to animal shelters. Their store is home to one or two cats in need of a loving home. You may occasionally see an elderly chihuahua walking around the store in a blue hoody. read more

Today I went to CAT to look for a vintage lamp. The store looks a bit small from the outside but is surprisingly big inside! I was able to park right up front. The store has lots of fun knick knacks. I found a cool vintage bowl, a sticky bra and a mug that had a cat similar to mine on it. I also found a lamp but the shade was really big so I asked if I could buy a different one they had in the store. I ended up with a beautiful lamp! I will be back again! read more

The minute I walked inside the door, I KNEW I'd find a lot to buy! I even started putting them in my shopping basket. . . I just barely started, when I found a case that could work as my cash register, but I went to look for a clerk, asking her permission if I could try out my PAPER MONEY in one of the compartments. So . . . if I got caught taking something out of my purse & putting it back, the clerk would know, my intentions, and that I wasn't shop lifting or something! She didn't understand what I wanted done, (btw. I also pointed to her the flap of the lining mirror, came off). that was it - it is something I could fix myself or she can, but I made sure my $$$$ can fit inside. She said, sure I can, and as she walked away, she mumbled "Jeez!" So I said: "What did you just said?" "I said, 'sure you can go ahead & do that!" No! That's not what YOU SAID, lady! Because of that . . . I just decided, I'm DONE SHOPPING & told my husband, I'm ready to go! I paid 2 of the ones I REALLY wanted, that I first found, when I got the shopping basket, and left, fuming! This thrift store is located in almost an office park like setting and behind the 7/11. This store can be a little tricky to find, so plan for that. You will want to add this place to your list of drop in's when doing the west side antique/ vintage/thrift store loop. Their price points are excellent. They have a cat in the window that is up for adoption and you can find more information about that on their Facebook page. A great and neatly displayed selection of recycled pre owned clothes, jewelry, antiques, vintage, household items, books, albums, 8-tracks, cat themed art. They also have brand new cat toys for sale if you are so inclined. We love this thrift store and usually find something to walk away with. Again, prices excellent. read more

Staff is super friendly, large selection. BUT everything is just JAM packed into the racks. At least there is room to move about the store while you shop. And the little "cage" they have for the kitties to be showcased in is lovely. I just wish there was a bit more room to browse the racks. And of course, benefitting the kitties is the best. read more

Could it be true? A great thrift store befitting cats?!?! YES!!!! This is a great little thrift store with so many great finds. It is a bit on the small side, but don't let that turn you away. Unlike most thrift stores, they don't have tons of clothes, but do have lots of other things: home decor, holiday items, accessories, even a section with cat items! I cant rave about this place enough! The prices are amazing. I just picked up a nearly new duvet cover (that retails for 59.95 at Target) for $8! Ive also found skinny jeans for 5$ and a lot of trinkets. I even foudn a couple bags i just LOVE for under 5$ each! I have found some great jewelry as well. I picked up 4 necklaces and 2 pairs of earrings for 20$. Ive gone here multiple times and ill go back again and again. Cat Adoption Team is a partner of my own work, Willamette Humane Society in Salem, and they take cats from us to free up space in our kennels for community cats. They even adopt straight from the thrift store! No worries though, not in the market for a feline friend yourself? Shop at this adorable boutique and your dollars go directly to help the mission they have. While "technically" Cat Adoption Team thrift store is a "competitor" of our own thrift store, I refuse to look at it that way. ANYTHING that helps the animals furthers the mission, and they have REALLY good stuff. I LOVE the location too. The thing about being a consummate thrifter is that you're reluctant to share your thrifting secrets. But this place is just too adorable and affordable to not share! And also for an awesome cause of rescuing kitties (even though I'm highly allergic and I once had a roommate who owned two super duper mischievous cats, I still hold no grudges. Ha!) The secret to a place like this is to not go often. I know, that sounds odd and counter-intuitive. But because it's such a small shop, turn over on items is relatively slow (compared to those mega-conglomerate "thrift stores" like Goodwill where the Oregon Goodwill executive director made a HALF MILLION DOLLARS last year! SHEESH!). The prices are great and you get to check out the house cat too! Sure, I've left without buying anything a few times, but it's not such a great loss when you consider that Sesame Donut is just a block away! CAT is win-win! read more

For the past 8 months, I have been tutoring students in that neighborhood. I usually have from 5:15-6 free, and about once or twice a month, I have tried to make a trip here. I have gotten "Chicos" tops here for .99 cents. You can't beat that price for designer clothes. Other clothing I have gotten for $2-5. Jewelry can be as low as $1 too. I bought holiday ornaments and cards here too. I have gotten nice scarves for only $2. Some items like sticker sheets and keychains are as low as .25. I also bought a Tommy Bahama candle here for just $2 and a La Provence perfume sample set for $5. The bargains are here, but you have to dig for them. I am glad most of the money goes towards a smaller non-profit that helps cats. read more

This is my first 5 star review, but not because I'm cheap with the compliments. It's just that the shop does such a nice job of it's thrift store stuff, PLUS, it supports animals. HEY a true win-win! I love my pets, and I love to save money. I wound-up buying an awesome jean jacket, some cool books, some vintage aprons, a beautiful lambswool sweater, and some vintage table linens. They have some vintage tube radio items that would have made an excellent project for my grandpa back-in-the-day. I'm just sad that I don't have those kinds of repair skills. Everything is neat and tidy. Items are really well organized, spaciously arranged, and the staff were friendly. Give them your business, help the little furry ones, and reuse/recycle. I resell vintage items so I thrift frequently, and have been to all of the thrift stores in/near the Portland Metro area and beyond. This is such a great little shop with quality housewares, decor items and apparel. Everything is clean, organized and displayed neatly. Love their book section. The staff are friendly and they have a restroom and Keurig coffee available for shoppers. The prices are mostly reasonable and, as a cat lover, I'm all for the cause that they benefit. read more

I was the only customer in the store, literally the only one. There were three employees in the store and not one of them greeted me, asked me if I needed help finding anything, or offered to show me some things I was looking at in the showcase. When I finally left, no one bothered to say anything to me on my way out the door either. Mind you, it takes me a good 15-20 minutes just to come to this establishment. This store often times has a nice selection of various Knick knacks and has some decent prices, but if that's how they treat their Customers, (Black customers at that) then I definitely won't be back. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet as I have been donating to and buying from this wonderful thrift store for years. It's just the right size of store in my opinion, you can spend an hour and get a look at just about everything. I usually find at least two-three items of clothing or some knick-knacks I can't live without. Prices are reasonable and in the event something you buy doesn't work out, you can just donate it back and they will give you a receipt for your taxes! There is almost always a kitty onsite, which is an additional benefit of this store. :) read more

Been coming here for years. The man who ran the operation a few years back was pretty friendly, but since he stopped managing, the women that now run it are incredibly rude. Zero personality and snotty to top it off. Their prices are way overpriced BUT partial profits go to a good cause and to be fair I am comparing prices to a few other thrift stores whose prices are unusually low. Two weeks ago, my son and I stopped in as we were walking by. That day I had my backpack on and one of the women followed me all over the store. It would have been much better if they had simply asked to check my bag (Buffalo Exchange does this). I will not be going back. read more

If you love cats (and I do!), where can you donate your unwanted things? I care about other charities, of course, and I donate what I can, but cats are special! So, when my father passed away, I took all his clothes and other personal items to this shop! They use the funds they take in for CATS! Since then, my mother and I have driven up there 20 miles a few times to donate other unwanted clothing and household items! The store is clean and laid out tastefully. The clerks are friendly, and the prices are all moderate! I have found great bargains! There are cat knickknacks and decorations, cat raising equipment and a cat or two in the store, which makes it extra fun! read more
