I have to say that I'm pretty critical of boat brokers, I've been boating my whole life, have a good handle on what I'm looking at, what my needs are and all of that. With that said, I have little patience with brokers that do not know what they are talking about; many don't of course. However, meeting Mike I have to say that he was great to deal with. Mike was fair, honest, motivated and responsive. If I reached out he was quick to respond. Mike was a straight shooter and didn't BS me. I'm old and have been around for a long time and can typically pick up on the BS fairly quick. Mike was easy to deal with and his office staff (Nicolette) was just as great to deal with as well. I have no complaints with these guys, they were a big help and I appreciate it. Here is one example of Mike's dedication, on a Sunday, not too long ago, Mike flew in from vacation, got in his car and drove straight from the airport to meet up with me so that I could see the boat for the first time that I eventually bought. The engine came off one of their rental boats - but was told that it was 'the owners boat' (I found out the rental boat bit buy looking at their web site and seeing the boat and the engine in their photos). When I started to ask questions, the sales guy was 100% rude and evasive. He promised to send the service records but when my wife called the main office to see about servicing the engine for shipping, the sales guy called back and went off on her. She was supper upset and crying after the call. I was just trying to buy a motor. No need to make my wife cry. Probably lucky that we did not buy the motor. They were clearly trying to hide something. I would stay away from Rex Marine. There is something bad going on there. No one does customer service this way.
