I keep my boat at a neighboring marina and reached out for help with my boat's engine. Over the course of a couple months one of their technicians tried several times to solve my problem, and worse told me several times that he had fixed it when the engine clearly was not running right. After seeking another opinion, another mechanic was able to diagnose my problem within an hour and then replace the broken part within an hour as well, and now my boat runs like new. If I hadn't used Safe Harbor for this issue I likely would have saved signficant time and money.

First, boat means Break Out Another Thousand -- vehicles in salt water require maintenance and work. Second, if you are nice good things happen. The staff from top to bottom are really nice people trying to do he best they can. My boat is not the poster child of perfection, but, staff have always treated me fairly and gotten the job done. Yes, some bills set high, but others set low -- it all averages out. Finally, all work, at least for me, has been first rate. To me THAT is what is important. If you want to save $$ do it yourself. If you want to get it one right, open the wallet!

I have had nothing but great experiences with Palmer Point. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The service yard is filled with experienced workers and they can handle any need a boater may have. The gas dock is cheap and they honor a $0.10 per gallon discount for BoatUS members. They also have an abundance of different sized boat slips with full amenities (power, water, etc.). I also love that it's family owned! I have nothing bad to say about Palmer Point and would highly recommend them to any of my fellow boaters.

I called West Marine in Stratford and they didn't have any. I called Milford Boat Works and they had it which made me happy as I am from Milford and didn't have to go out of my way. Since it was raining, I decided to get some rain gear for my trip. Milford Boat Works had just what I needed. And, you know how the saying goes, if you have rain gear, the sun will be shinning! So true. Staff at MBW are very friendly and helpful. I also saw some other items that I needed at home. Tubing for my water fountain is sold by the foot so I was able to pick that up as well.

Or how my boat goes in the water on-time, each Spring, after significant winter projects. And I have appreciated the practical and friendly advise about how to handle the issues I have encountered. And I could explain how, last Sunday morning at 8am, when the winds unexpectedly started coming from the wrong direction, Eric and Josh added fenders and doubled up my docklines as 3 foot waves were arriving at the dock. They did so without calling me first, because there was no time. My O'day 35 could have been wrecked. But the real reason is this: They did the same for me last year.
