The lady my mom was in contact with told my mother to call her anytime and that she was available 24/7. This held true when a couple days later, my mom contacted her as my Grandma's condition had deteriorated and they sent out a nurse to be with her around the clock. We had the pleasure of working with Emma and Rosalyn, who were two of the most caring and dedicated nurses you'll ever meet. Their care for my Grandmother was gentle and thorough. They were there around the clock with our family and saw us through to the very end, making my Grandmother's transition and passing as painless and comfortable as possible. These two ladies are truly called to be in this profession as their interactions with the patient and family show their love for people and what amazing hearts they have. We are so blessed to have met them!

I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

She didn't miss a thing and once we were signed up I felt great relief knowing I had this company on board to walk me through this process. I called on a Monday, the nurse Amanda came to assess mom that afternoon and we had approval for services within an hour. By the next morning all sorts of equipment was delivered; it was amazing how quickly they worked. The next day Juliet the RN came and checked out mom. Both nurses were so kind and gentle with my mom. Juliet went over the transitioning signs and other information that was very helpful to me in knowing what to expect. She spent a lot of time with me, I never felt rushed; Juliet's care was genuine. Communication was top notch; I received text notifications every time Juliet was going to come by. Both Juliet and Joyce the social worker arrived within minutes of my mom transitioning and it was so comforting to have them here. I had interviewed other hospice companies in the past and while the people I met with were nice, they felt a bit fake. I did not feel this way about Unique Hospice. Their attention and care is real and very respectful. I highly recommend Unique Hospice to walk through this difficult time with you. My wife has been under the care of Burbank Hospice since last year, when she spent two months in…read morethe hospital battling two major vascular surgeries, pneumonia, septic shock, two weeks in the ICU, and the underlying illness driving all this...Multiple Sclerosis. Once she was stable, the hospital's palliative care team recommended discharging her to hospice care. I spent a lot of time coordinating with the hospital hospice representative only to be told a day before discharge that their agency could not care for my wife since she had an open and infected surgical wound plus another open healing wound. None of the other major hospice companies would help us either. As you can imagine, this caused us a great deal of stress and anxiety. After making a few calls, the doctor found Burbank Hospice Care who stepped up and took on the challenge This turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The Burbank Hospice team took on my wife's case energetically, managed the difficult wounds with a "wound vac" and pic line, and monitored her lingering pneumonia and other infections. Slowly, over time, my wife rallied with this excellent care despite the fact that the doctors only gave her days to two weeks to live after she was sent home. Burbank Hospice staff provided all of the necessary equipment, supplies and prescriptions, which was monitored by regular visits from the agency's nurses. Whenever I have a concern or a worry, the Burbank Hospice team responds quickly and with compassion. Recently, my wife had another setback after a procedure and spent three weeks in the hospital. Again, Burbank Hospice was there after discharge to oversee her care and she is now resting comfortably. My wife's battle with this chronic illness has been an isolating experience with few visits from family and friends. The Burbank Hospice team is now like family to us. Their care, compassion and responsiveness have taken a lot of stress out of a very stressful situation. We are grateful for their support and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking hospice care for a loved one.

Speaking as an experienced oncology nurse, I want to compliment this excellent service and give you an idea what it meant to the family to have support for her transition. Our team was consistently respectful, caring, professional and treated my mother-in-law as the delightful individual that she was. The team very clearly communicated with the family and followed up on everything they promised (phone support, supply delivery, educational materials, drug delivery, etc.).
