I resurrected my Yelp to write this. It was that horrific. I went here to treat myself to a birthday massage but ended up tortured instead. The masseuse was caring enough--checking in on temperature and pressure--but that's about it. I'd be shocked if he went to massage school. The executive package I signed up for ($170) advertised a peppermint head massage, foot massage, and full body massage. I received a several minute head scratch with a hot towel placed under my neck... which he then tried to use to stretch my neck before accidentally dropping my head on the table and apologizing. He followed this up with a "just relax for me please." ...how? The foot massage started and ended with putting lotion on my feet, which is less than what's included with even an average full body massage. For the massage itself, I was given one elbow on both sides of my back, a strange back leg shakedown, and the entire front of my body skipped. The "soothing" music also cut out half way through and never came back on, so I unwound to the sound of someone stomping around. And the heating pad on the massage table was broken. It was colder than a morgue in there. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

She really did her magic on my really tight lumpy shoulders; just what I needed. I Could really tell a huge difference afterwards. An excellent morning of relaxation with Angel and Gypsy. Very professional and took the time to ask us questions related to our body ailments. My husband was having sciatic nerve issues. He came out feeling so much better and pain relief. I just had 2 recent artificial disc replacements. Angel was able to loosen the muscles in the area which gave me more flexibility. Just "ok". It's Burke Williams pricing for Massage Envy experience. The photos and PRICE give the impression it's a spa but it's not. We were there for our anniversary/babymoon and splurged on the couples massage that was honestly sub par. My husband was like this is the spa? We walk up a stair way and down a tiny hallway immediately greeted by lady (manager?). And asked quite a few questions even stuff I already answered over the phone. Rushed down another tiny hallway into a small blue room with a cheap chandelier as it's decor. I've done many massages other places and this place was just disappointing for the price (Romance Couples Package). No water was offered, not a relaxing warm welcoming at all just rushed. I had asked for coconut gut rub instead for lavender facial and they kept trying to talk me back into facial after I had already said I want to switch it. No question air filled nothing spa like. Just walk up stairs, down a hallway into a tiny room that was seriously lacking in decor and tiny. Supposedly that was an upgraded room, I was told on the phone I was getting upgraded to the balcony room. I asked if that's the room I was in and told it's not but similar. If that's their upgraded room yikes, what does a regular room look like. Super bummed I wasted SO much money, I would have just waited and booked Burke Williams back on main land post trip. read more

After a long day fishing I was interested in a relaxing massage to wind down. After searching for nearby spas I was lucky to discover Catalina Spa. I was able to schedule a walk-in appointment with Libra. The staff is great. My iPhone was running low and they even gave me a charger while I was getting a massage. The room was immaculately clean, the massage bed was comfy and warm. Libra was a great masseuse. I asked for the Swedish and above average firmness. I fell asleep a few times. I don't really understand the great reviews for this place. Me and my boyfriend went and got couples massages and I really felt like my masseuse didn't know what she was doing. She didn't ask me where I wanted her to focus or the pressure I desired, just started and said "let me know ok." She also kept grabbing my hair very aggressively and was just kind of aggressive with the technique in general which made the massage unrelaxing. Also our masseuses Carmen and Esther kept whispering to each other which I thought was unprofessional and distracting. This place just seems like a tourist trap and a rip off in my opinion at $140/60 min massage. I would avoid it. read more

I did not cuss at anyone at any point in time. Accusing me of doing so is adding insult to injury. The person I spoke with on the phone did not make any attempt to apologize for the situation and instead continuously implied that the scheduling mishap was my fault. We originally were supposed to get a massage on Saturday but our helicopter didn't come in till 4pm because of the weather so they rescheduled us for the following Monday. Worst massage ever I'm writing as we speak so it's fresh in my memory but how do you forget such a horrible massage. The lady asked me what parts were sore on my body and ask me were she should focus on. After I told her I thought ok wow it's going to be fantastic... boy was I wrong I literally felt like lube on a condom when I left. His masseuse was Carmen and he opted for the peppermint scalp massage, and mine was Esther and got the lavender facial massage. Our Swedish massage was incredible - in the past I'd had lackluster Swedish massages, but these women were STRONG, applied the perfect amount of pressure, incorporated hot stones, and even some light bending/digging (which we very much enjoy!). Worst experience I've ever encountered in my whole life. Paid for service 2 months ago. They wanted me to pay again and they would refund the first charge. So basically pay double and wait for my refund. The card I put the charge was compromised so they sent a replacement. Normal right. I showed them my statement but they would not let us have our massages unless I paid on a different card. They have had my money for months. We in good conscience pay twice. So we called away very unhappy because we didn't get our massages. This is the worst business practice I've ever have experienced. Don't book here. Michelle, I showed my license and the same credit card with a different number. You are sitting on my money. You should have held the money as pending and then cancel when we got there. That would have been acceptable. How is it ethical to charge 2 months before service is rendered. It's not. I was upset because you are charging us twice for a service was not provided.
