My husband was in bad need of a haircut for his reserve duty after our little vacation on Catalina island. What a great experience to have Lolo himself cut my husbands hair! With 60 years of experience he did a great job while sharing personal life stories with us! He may be in his 80s but his mind is as sharp as his scissors!! Give him a visit and enjoy the experience!

Lola's Barber Shop is a great stop for travelers getting off cruise ships in Catalina. Lola does an outstanding job at cutting hair and loves to share his wealth of knowledge of the island. Cheap price for a haircut (15 bucks) and story's worth millions.

I visited Catalina Island two weeks ago and by chance stopped by Lolo's barbershop and had a fantastic visit with Lolo and he gave me a great haircut. It was nice to hear about the history of the island and see all of the pictures and memorabilia that Lolo had in his shop. I was also inspired to find out Lolo is 92 years old and continuing to do what he loves which has really inspired me. I didn't realize until I got home from the island visit that there is a documentary on Lolo called "Lolo and the Barbershop" which also gives a lot of the islands history. read more

Best experience ever. Not only are this mans hair cutting skills great, he is warm and welcoming as well. He is clean and concise and uses the old school razor method to trim the sides of your hair and beard. If you need a haircut, go to him you will not be disappointed! read more

My 5 year old had his hair cut here this summer and the experience was very memorable for him. Not only was it the best haircut he'd ever had but Lolo had a lasting impression on him. Lolo is great with kids and my son wants to stop in to see him every time we go to Catalina Island. It makes for expensive haircuts but what a great excuse to go! read more

And she takes me with her every time she works on me…read more I injured myself on a run a year and a half ago and luckily (but unluckily) didn't break or fracture anything. My body healed around the damaged tissue and stress in my muscles and it took this long for any real pain (beyond the fall) to appear. When I met Saber I wasn't looking for massage therapy. I've worked with a chiropractor a few months ago but I can feel my body wanting to go back to the "injured" state it was in the for the last year and a half. I actually didn't know massage could be therapeutic beyond relaxing and working into tight muscles. I met her through a group of friends and she insisted to let her work on me because she could see how much pain I was in. Saber becomes one with me and my body and I swear my body tells her exactly what she needs to do in our session. Not gonna lie, it's painful. But what in life isn't painful and worth it. Especially when you're already in pain from an injury or sitting at your desk or how physical your job is. She's done work on me I would have never thought a massage THERAPIST could do. It's honestly therapy. I'm looking forward to our next appointment together as a relaxer, since the last few times have been intense ‍ but I'm also ready to heal and I know this is part of the journey.
