I had a really disappointing experience at Catalyst due entirely to the customer service. This was my first time visiting, and the employee who helped me, Angelica, was extremely rude and aggressive from the moment we walked in. Her tone was sharp and dismissive, and when I told her I wanted a pre-roll, she snapped at me asking "Indica, hybrid, or sativa?" in a condescending way, as if I was an idiot for not already knowing, while already walking away from us. I was also given a first-time 25% off discount, and when I simply asked if it would be applied, she responded rudely and snapped back that it was "already 30% off," as if I had done something wrong by asking. The interaction made me feel so uncomfortable that I said sorry, but it wasn't an actual apology, more of a "sorry to inconvenience you" kind of response because I felt awkward and uneasy even asking a simple question. She then acted confused, aggressively counted my cash, handed it back, and gave a very insincere "sorry about that." This guy acted like a straight-up wannabe tough guy instead of an employee. Two people cut in front of me for an online order, I said "wow," and for some reason that triggered Marco. I've been a loyal customer here for months, which is why this experience was extremely disappointing. I purchased a PlugPlay pod that tasted burnt from the first hit, produced blue smoke, and didn't get me high at all, making it clear the product was defective. I called ahead before coming in and was told they would help me, but once I arrived the situation changed. The manager Asia dismissed my concerns, compared me to "another guy who always complains about pods," and asked me to go outside and hit the pod again to prove the smoke was blue, which made me uncomfortable. Instead of replacing the defective pod, I was given a promo vape, even though all I wanted was a replacement for the product I paid for. Everyone made sure to let us know the deals and where to look for them as well. The customer service was amazing as well! We were initially helped by Benjamin and he was a huge help! He was helpful, informative, and just a genuinely good dude. We weren't planning on getting the FSO but he let us know it was 50% off, so we said why not? The ATM only let me pull out $40 for some reason. After I pulled the $40 out, the machine stopped working lol. So I had to go up the street to pull out cash. Once I got back, I was rung up by Axel. He was actually the one doing reception I believe when I first came in. He actually recommended the Dot Bar that I got! (WHICH WAS BOMB BY THE WAY, SHOUT OUT TO YOU!)
