empanadas were good but the lemonade tasted like sour orange juice. The scenery was good, and the service was the same as a regular cafe.

Cute Italian cafe with amazing coffee, pastries , schiacciata sandwiches and much more …read more. They have a store front with many little treats including good olive oil. We tasted their olive oil which was grassy and fresh. Coffee is excellent. Almond croissant is a great choice with it . The sandwich we tried had prosciutto and Burrata n was a good pick . What I loved about this spot is the cozy seating , the simplicity of the sandwich and an authentic Italian vibe. Will be back for more !

Annette and Francesco feel that schiacchiata is a perfect example of foods that connects Italian foods and it's culture. Schiacchiata means smashed or flat and is a very old peasant bread from before the Middle Ages. Soft on the inside crisp outside with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt sprinkled on top with no set recipe each baker has their own. Laura is a Partner with Annette and Francesco to this fabulous upscale little restaurant. They serve amazing coffees, sweets, sandwiches, soups, sandwiches can be with meat, vegetarian, vegan, there is burrata salad, vegan salad and more, vegan Cipillollina sandwich and so much more, Buonamici vegetarian sandwich and many more, Prosciutto cotto and fontina cheese sandwich and many more cured meat sandwiches. Sweets such as Crostatina al pistachio, bombolini and so much more. The menu is unique and wonderful. The restaurant I describe as chic, relaxed, upscale casual and worth your attention. I ordered three fried empanadas (two chicken and one beef). they were okay - the crust is a bit different than I'm used to, but maybe the empanadas I typically have are baked. Also seemed to be more potato than meat in the beef one. The Americano coffee is awful. It gives mostly hot water with a hint of coffee flavor. I tossed it and didn't complain. Granted it's a cafe and not a coffee shop, but it's coffee! They have a plethora of other drinks that may be worth trying, but i will never order coffee here again. The decor inside is nice Also note, this is mostly a beverage and snack place. Very little food on the menu.

It was impossible to chose what to order because there's so many great options but we settled for the Mango Smoothie, Blackberry Lemongrass and Benito Cold Brew as our drinks. Every drink was a hit and not overly sweet and syrupy like some coffee joints. The fried chicken empanadas were a little hard for the friends that ordered it but not a deal breaker. I got a delicious bean and cheese pupusa. This is one place I can't wait to come back to!

Seating is available, but we chose to take it to go. As for the goods, get ready to devour some of the best coffee/desserts you've ever had! I decided not be basic for once and pick something new. And I was not disappointed in the least! - The Cassava Latte "Inspired by the Filipino dessert cake, made with condensed milk and coconut. Contains dairy": Beyond amazing!! Sweet and uniquely flavored, I could go back for this guy day in and day out! It also made me want to try cassava cake because it's just so good. My friend got the ube latte which was okay, but if you want a supremely delicous latte, I'd try this guy out! - Ube Champorado Croissant: Flakey and buttery, with a generous amount of ube filling. Adult and child tested and approved!! Definitely takes your basic croissant to the next level! - Chocolate Kouign Amann: Perfect cheewy, flakey texture with just the right amount of chocolate. Not overwhelmingly sweet. This was probably my favorite of the two! If you haven't yet tried Ayala Coffee, you really should add it to your list! It's worth every penny!
