I was a customer here going back 20 years ago under previous owners. It's unfortunate since then the major changes that took place the menu cut significantly the overall vibe very different. There used to be table service, which is no longer. And the prices are pretty high for what you get. Skillet meal. It looked like sliced up pieces of a mozzarella cheese stick thrown in that didn't melt. Small portion compared to other skillet meals at other establishments. Toast also cold so butter didn't melt. $16 for a smaller portion compared to other restaurants. My friends avocado toast. There was no description on the menu. She was asked if she wanted eggs she said no and this is how it came. She was expecting a little bit more. $11 Staff was polite. But about it. read more

My father and I stopped here to grab a bite to eat . He had the tuna sandwich he said that was very good. I decided to get the green smoothie, I was a bit disappointed it didnt included any real fruit in it . It just had a mixed green juice and then ice. If I knew that I wouldnt had gotten it. Rockn' Joe has a nice theme for their cafe. There is a decent amount of tables available for customers, it has a cool... and colorful...electronic board menu, and rock memorabilia adorning the walls. We ordered the Hazelnut White Mocha Frozen Latte and the Pumpkin Pie Latte. Both were VERY GOOD and highly recommended. It's fun and relaxing enjoying delightful coffee, while taking in all of the rock history and guitars right above your table. We stopped in to get out of the cold while we waited for our train. This is a great, cozy coffee shop. I ordered a 12 oz flat white and a chocolate biscotti. It was really good. I loved the texture and that it was the perfect in between of soft and hard. Perfect for consuming with coffee. My brother and my son ordered chocolate chip cookies and they also enjoyed their snacks. I'll be in the area again and will stop in now that I know how close they are to the Westfield station. I've been a customer here since they opened, and try to stop in whenever I find myself in downtown Westfield. It's a very comfortable place, quiet and calm, except for some soft music most of the time, and the staff here is great. The baristas, Antonia and Elisha, always remember what I last ordered, even when I haven't come in for weeks at a time. Rock N Joe has tables with seating for about a dozen customers out front, and it's a western exposure, so you can catch some sun in the afternoon while you enjoy your food or beverage. They also have a subscription to my favorite daily newspaper, the New York Post, free to pick up and read while I'm there. Rock N Joe also sells their own line of coffee beans in pre-packaged 12 oz. bags, and will grind them for you, if you wish. I'm taking a break from caffeine, so lately I've been buying bags of their "Unplugged" decaf coffee to take home. It is excellent, more to my liking than most decaf coffees that I've tried, even those from Ahrre's, the coffee roaster down the block. read more

This cute little coffee shop is owned by a brown woman who is honestly so welcoming and warm. The vibe of the whole place is just amazing and beautiful. The staff there are kind and are willing to answer any questions you may have. Now let's get to the food and drinks! Drinks: their artisan coffees are my FAVE!! The one I always reach for is an Iced Mocha Nut Latte. If you love your coffees sweet, add the whip. If you like it less sweet, ask without whip. The espresso they use is just smooth. There's a friendly, mellow vibe when you walk in, and a welcoming smile when you step to the counter. Menus for coffees and food are on tv's and a bit distracting but you likely know what you want. They make a good bold cup- not bitter or burnt aftertaste, but sometimes a little too hot. I always manage to find a seat, and get my coffee in a to-go just because I don't stay that long. Sandwiches are a good price and clearly made to order. If you are staying there is table service; cleanup is an honor system that you drop off your used stuff at the back counter- I notice maybe 75% do it. Don't be that other person. This place use to be different, guessing they're under different ownership. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 because it's Still really good but they used to have more unique menu options and specials. The good: the food was delicious, I had the goat cheese, avacado and tomato but I also wanted it with an egg and they were able to accommodate without any issues at all. My girlfriend had the mango, yogurt, granola combo which she said was good even though mango seemed like a weird thing to put in your yogurt with granola. The Cafe Breve is delicious as well! Cozy local coffee house with cool guitars and music album accents. Good amount of seating, plus some of the tables have power outlets and usb outlets. Came in to do some work for a couple of hours had a latte. It was good. The vibe inside is nice not to loud and they have food options as well. I had the scone it was with blueberries but it was dry and hard should of gotten the muffin instead. Any time I am passing through Westfield, I like to stop and relax here. They used to have an older, cozy warm atmosphere the last time I was there, but I was pleasantly surprised that they have since completely renovated. They did a good job, too. Lots of coffee shops push food onto you, and that turns me off. It makes me feel as if I am not welcome to just enjoy a coffee there. This place has food, but does not pressure you to order it. That's why I keep coming back. I will only give 5 stars to a coffee shop that roasts their own beans and does it exceedingly well. I am sure that they get theirs from a higher quality supplier, but with the availability of lattes and other Starbucks drinks, methinks that do not. read more

Service was great and we were recommended to take my husband's Kona coffee black - with milk/skim/half and half on the side if we still chose to add on to it. I had the mocha latte which was great and just perfectly sweetened, and designed:) Wafels and Dinges are their partners too which was a great surprise! We got the WMD with everything on it ($8.95) and enjoyed every bit of it- would get it again! I wish they served cold brew coffee instead of refrigerated coffee or hot coffee poured over ice for their iced drinks, being that it is a coffee shop. My son had the hot cocoa which came in a covered styrofoam cup so he was a bit dismayed that his drink wasn't "fancy." when mine and my husband's drinks were presented nicely. This place was definitely a miss. Stopped by this coffee shop with the mindset of award winning and had previously checked out the Instagram page. We were impressed by the aesthetics of their drinks and food. We ordered cappuccinos and artesian coffee after dinner and were underwhelmed by the presentation. The barista made our drinks to go after we sat and got comfortable. We wanted a chill spot to have a few hot drinks to warm up. The place was nice and definitely chill but the drinks were not as we expected. The images on Instagram didn't match what we actually received. We were overcome with disappointment that the drinks didn't come as advertised from this spots social media. This was my first time visiting Rock 'n' Joe in Westfield. I am giving 3 stars based upon vibes and products. There is a large variety of cookies, muffins, cakes, pies all of which look absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the lack of 2 stars stems from customer service and just plain awkwardness. I decided to pick up a cappuccino and oreo pie after dinner and it was so delicious!! I highly recommend the oreo pie. The cappuccino was perfectly frothy and temperature. YAY! I walked into the shop and up to the counter to place my order. I was asked if I would like to sit down and they would come by to take my order. great. I waited and waited some more. Then anxious, I got up to place my order. I then watched the counter worker wipe down tables instead of come over to the counter to take my order. Was I forgotten about? awkward. Patiently, I waited for my drink and pie to be served to my bar top table. At 9:30 when I clearly had more pie and more cappuccino I was asked if I was finished. I said "no not yet" the location does not close until 10pm please to not rush me after I had to wait for you initially and there is still 30 minutes until closing. Quality products and customer service go hand in hand, take a minute to check in with the staff to ensure everyone is following protocol and creating repeat customers in an ever growing coffee market. First time trying this place out today. I was very pleased with the quality of the coffee and the reasonable prices for downtown. Cool decor inside of old rock album covers as well as electric guitars hanging from the walls (very cool) my only complaint is about the music they have playing. There seems to be a radio station playing non stop garbage music and advertisements which was highly disappointing. One would have thought they would have Rock music playing to fit both the name and theme of the coffee shop. Judging by the clientele that comes into the place, Rock music would be much better preferred to the crap they have playing. Great coffee shop, let down by the abysmal music. I stumbled here by chance-- a work meeting took place a block away. I was needing a small lunch and a small pick-me-up so I decided to stop in for a sandwich and caffeinated beverage. I ordered a pumpkin chai latte with almond milk which tasted as good as it sounds :) I like that they have a variety of nondairy milks-- soy, almond, and one other. They also have a surprising number of chai options. Definitely come here if you like variety in your chai lattes! 4 stars for the drink! The sandwich on the other hand was completely flavorless. Three Stars is where this place is at for me now but I'm open to a return trip and and update if needed. The place is adorable, different types of seating high tables, low tables, cushiony seats too. The food was decent they have a bunch of different paninis. Grilled chicken was cooked well but had no seasoning very plain so go for a more complex sandwich. Salad was delish and the coffee was excellent. The place is super noisy so its not the type of coffee shop you would go to study. My main beef was with the service though. They didn't seem understaffed but there was no one waiting on the tables. I think the problem lies in the "duties", when I say this I mean the person that takes your order will wait on you as well as make your drinks. So one table orders three drinks the guy will take 10 minutes to make them which creates a long wait for his other tables. They should have waiters, baristas, and the cashier be all separate people. I checked into the location on yelp, as there was a check-in offer for a free small coffee or tea. Upon showing the girl at the register, she informed me that they were not longer honoring yelp check ins. This was a bit of a turn off, as management should either fix it, or honor it as a gesture of good faith. A few cents lost on a small coffee would be worth it in my opinion. I was going to purchase some food but after this slight mishap, I decided just to get a coffee and go from there. I'm a bit glad I only got the coffee, which was just okay, because the food seemed a bit lackluster based on my neighboring tables. I recently had the occasion to go to Rockn' Joe in downtown Westfield for a geocaching event. I have to say though that the coffeehouse scene is not for me. I thought the place was dark and loud, but the latter was because of open mic night. The food was overpriced for relatively small portions and I didn't think there was anything really outstanding on the menu. Granted the ambiance, not the food, is the point of this place, but still. On the plus side, I had absolutely no issue with the service. I thought it was a miracle the server could hear my order over the music. I had a quiche with fruit cup. There doesn't appear to be designated parking for this establishment but parking is abundant at the municipal lot just a block away and there is no parking fee at night. read more

The setting is damn cool, especially with the awesome wall decorations. Even though it's a popular spot, we never have problems with service, or finding a table. Bonus: They serve this bottle of water and glasses right before they take your order, so it's nice to have something to sip on, while you wait for your plate/beverages. It was not crowded yet it was busy with people coming in to pick up take out orders and others choosing a seat. I ordered a cheese omelet for my son and it was delicious.. so perfectly cheesy!
