So cute, and homey. Went around 7pm and there weren't that many people which is always a plus for me. Was greeted by the workers...and the workers families ? They need to change the music they were playing in the background though. Need some Lo-Fi Or something upbeat to fit the vibe. Can't wait to go back. I got the oreo rolling icecream ? So gooood. Taste of heaven in every bite. I finished it too fast Also, you can add more toppings when you get your cup. I wasn't going to add anything at first because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do . The lady insisted. I added some little chocolate chip cookies . The spoon was small, so it was hard not to spill anything .‍

This place may not be one with a huge flashing sign, but to be one of the few places in the area to have rolled ice cream is quite a gem to find. Considering it was my first time to taste rolled ice cream, it has become another addition to my sweet tooth collection. Note: they got small crepe cakes here too but on certain days. If you see it, I would suggest you try it out.

First time visiting this place. The owner greeted us with warm welcome. The place was designed and decorated for both adults and children which contained a lot of toys. What amazed us was their decorations of ice cream that I ordered that came out super nice. Additionally, the price is cheap compared to another stores; for example, Taiwanese desserts, class room 32, or Boba indeed.

My daughter and I loves coming to Cate's for the Ice Cream. Its a cute little desert place that sells from Rolled Ice Cream, to beer? Haha Havent tried the food yet, but the sweets are great. We have tried the Ice Cream and Shaved Ice. They also carry Dippin Dots. One if a few places that sells Crepe Cake, but not made in home, so the flavors vary on whats available. The owners are always friendly and smiling. Just wish the Mango Rolled Ice was available year round, its so yummy with fresh fruit and sticky rice read more

This place was perfect! I took a group of middle school girls there and we had a blast! The food and ice cream and drinks were all soooo good! We had the chicken, fried squid, dumplings and egg rolls. All were freshly made and so yummy. The ambiance was super fun and the customer service was even better. We will be back! We were informed they have karaoke Monday and Saturday nights! read more

One of my favorite things to have on a hot day is a good ice cream treat, something not far from my mind every time I passed this place on my daily wanderings about town. To be honest, I was kinda sketchy on the idea of paying $5 for one of their ice cream subs, but since I had a few bucks burning a hole in my pocket, I figured it wouldn't be so bad to take the plunge. Now that I've had a chance to soak in the total experience, I'm quite glad I did. The three flavors they recommended, almond, butter pecan and coconut, worked together splendidly, while the variety of textures, including the slight chewiness of the sticky rice and the hot dog bun it was served in, created a dessert experience I don't think I've had in a good while. The customer service was also highly attentive, certainly ranking among the best I've ever been privileged enough to enjoy, and greatly enhancing the kitschy, friendly atmosphere the decorations provided. Overall, I would say this is one of those hidden gems that everyone should experience at least once, especially if you like your ice cream to have a fetching presentation while being absolutely delicious (personally, I highly recommend trying the refreshing Coconut flavor! It's like a slow jam in your mouth, and your and your special someone are invited to soak in the mellow groove) read more

New to Paramount CA is Cate's Ice Cream. The owner is Cate and she greets you with a big smile. It's an absolutely wonderful experience with traditional flavors and a taste of Thailand. It's beautifully decorated with a large seating capacity. You can take your time to relax and enjoy your ice cream with your special friend and I really like that. My favorite and a must try is the Mango Sticky Rice Rolled Ice Cream. A very light and refreshing rolled ice cream in a cup that includes real fresh slices of Mango and just a little Thai sweet sticky rice. Yummy. read more

This place is so cute! I got the waffle with strawberries and I picked the strawberry chocolate chip ice cream. My boyfriend got the same with pistachio ice cream. We took them to go and I was happy they used fresh fruit that they cut in front of you. Our car smelled sooo good on the ride home! It is also a great price! Yummy and filling. Interior decoration is amazing and beautiful. Super creative, and relaxing inside the store. Sticky rice mango fried/roll ice-cream is delicious, never try it anywhere before. Sweet sticky rice is at the bottom of the cup so don't forget to eat it together with the ice-cream and mango bits. Matcha and coconut smoothies are super good! The owners are super nice. They asked if you like the taste of the smoothies first, and if not they'll fix it for you :) This store is a gem..no...a diamond! Can't wait to come back here! read more

My last trip was kind of spontaneous because I suddenly got a Fivestars reward that day for these waffle bites. However, when I arrived, I was looking for the Fivestars tablet only to be met by a Clover tablet instead. It felt like I went through a time warp because the employee working behind the register didn't seem to have any idea what I was trying to say regarding Fivestars, though he did notice a little trifold card on the front counter mentioning Fivestars. I asked if he could get his manager so I could explain, and even show, him my Fivestars reward. The reward said "already accepted", which he almost thought meant I had redeemed it already, but if that were the case, then it would have said "already redeemed". Given that they've now done away with Fivestars, I'm not too surprised he may have gotten the words "accepted" confused with "redeemed", but luckily, he was happy enough to honor it for me. The employee who assisted me was very helpful, though he did ask me to repeat the topping and the drizzle that I wanted. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor ice cream with Fruity Pebbles toppings and a Strawberry drizzle on top. Since I had already tried the cookie flavors before, I figured I'd try the fruity flavors this time around. He said he needed about 5 minutes to prepare my waffle bites, which were presented a little different than last time. Last time, I got the Cookie Butter flavor with *Cookie* Crisp and Peanut *Butter* (see what I did there?), and it came in a small plastic takeout container. This one came in a large plastic cup, and I'm thinking the logistics may have changed a ton between my last two visits. I did appreciate how the employee asked if I wanted the waffles on top of or beneath the ice cream before making the waffle bites; I chose on top. He also asked if I'd like powdered sugar on top, to which I agreed. Unfortunately, neither of the waffle bites I got from my last two visits impressed me that much. As a matter of fact, the only thing that impressed me was the strawberry drizzle. Everything else fell kind of flat. While generous in size for the $8 price tag, the Cookie Butter and the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream didn't really taste like these flavors at all! For whatever reason, the peanut butter didn't add much flavor, but the strawberry drizzle added a lot! How even?! In short, the waffle bites weren't that much of an upgrade from the ice cream scoop that I had on my first visit. I'm willing to say "too much good was no good" here. The waffles themselves were good, but they can only do so much when a flavored ice cream doesn't even taste like that flavor. It's worth noting that on my penultimate visit, when I got the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, I saw two employees behind the front counter who were ready to take my order. I asked them to explain what the waffle bites were, but it took them a couple of tries to actually understand what I was asking. From what I gathered, the waffle bites were similar to the ice cream scoop I had on my first visit, but with the addition of a warm waffle to supplement the ice cream. However, the step-by-step process remains the same. I was initially told it would take 6 minutes to prepare the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, but it actually took 15! It seemed like one was training the other or they were trying to gather the ingredients and/or the steps needed to create the waffle bites. After about 10 minutes, I was told by one of the employees they had to make a new batch of waffles because the first batch had burnt. The music was getting pretty loud, so it was hard to hear him after that, but I didn't want to hold up the kitchen prep process any longer. I just said "Alright, sure" so he could continue preparing my order. I do appreciate how he let me know of this so that I'd know the reason for the extended wait, but I wish they weren't so ill-prepared during my visit. So overall, still 3 stars overall. I appreciate the prior partnership with Fivestars, but these missed opportunities have led me to believe that Cravings is just not for me. I doubt I'll try anything else on their ice cream menu, and considering that there are only a few parking spots in their lot, it will take a lot to get me to try their hot chicken. And speaking of lack of parking, I also want to mention that on my second visit, I saw two open parking stalls right in front of Cravings, one on either side of a car. That car had its driver's side wide open so that I couldn't park there. I had to park on the passenger side of that car, which he left much less room for. Perhaps a microcosm of the clientele in this part of town? Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, not everybody can make the most of them, and this is just one example of such. Thanks for the sweet treats Cravings, but I'll get my next one somewhere else.

While we were filling up our water, the workers told us that they also use the alkaline water for the beverages that they sell! So naturally, we had to try it. I forgot the name of the drink we got...I think they mentioned that they rotate flavors...but it was delicious! They had lined the rim of the cup with some sort of spice and it tasted really good and super refreshing. I've only tried two drinks, but so far they were pretty tasty. It's in a small strip mall next to a liquor store, but it's never really busy there. The workers have been very helpful in even assisting with bringing the waters out for us.

I'm not totally sure how, but I somehow got a free scoop reward loaded onto my Baskin Robbins…read moreaccount even though I've been a rewards member for close to a year. This year so far has been quite busy for me that I didn't have time to redeem this reward until I was doing some shopping nearby. My route took me to this Baskin Robbins on the southeast corner of Alondra and Woodruff, where dd's Discounts is the anchor store. Baskin Robbins is at the very corner of the building, and you can't really miss it whether you're coming in from either of the cross streets. When I arrived at about 4:30 PM on a Saturday, there was just one customer inside, and she was sitting at one of the four tables inside enjoying her scoop of ice cream. A female employee greeted me, and I asked her if I could redeem my free scoop reward here, knowing that not every Baskin Robbins location would honor it. Sure enough, she answered affirmatively, and it took me a while to decide which flavor to get. Lately, I had been watching my sugar intake, and so I would normally have gotten a flavor that was no sugar added. The only flavor I saw that had no added sugar was the pineapple coconut, but I wasn't feeling in a tropical mood if that makes sense. I was willing to cheat with a sweet treat for me to eat. Try saying that ten times fast lol. As I was scanning the flavors posted on the ice cream chests, the one that caught my eye was the Love Potion #31 only because it was the Flavor of the Month. The description of that flavor says, "White Chocolate & Raspberry flavored Ice Creams bursting with Raspberry-Filled Chocolate flavored Hearts, Raspberry Swirls & Chocolate flavored chips." Sound like a flavor explosion? You bet! Except it was too much good on one side, but nowhere near enough good on the other. I'll explain later. When I told the employee I wanted to try the Love Potion, she asked if I wanted a cup. I was expecting her to say cone as well even though I would have preferred a cup, but she never did. I just agreed to the cup, and she fetched a scoop of the Love Potion ice cream into my cup. Since the Baskins Robbins app had gone through an update recently, I wasn't sure how to redeem the reward. Instead of instructing me what to do or where to position my phone, she asked for my phone so she could scan the QR code that popped up on the screen. I wish there was a scanner that the customer could have simply scanned his/her phone without having an employee touch it, but I guess it can only be done from behind the front counter. After she completed my transaction, she added a small pink spoon to my ice cream, and I took my sweet treat to a table by the window. That table I sat at wasn't very clean, unfortunately, but since I was only going to be there for a few minutes, I didn't mind. I enjoyed the complimentary scoop of the Love Potion ice cream, but not nearly as much as I wanted to. For one, I didn't taste any white chocolate at all, which was one of the reasons why I got the Love Potion. There was soooooooo much raspberry flavor all around that it felt like I was consuming some artificial raspberry syrup in every bite. The chocolate was a plenty in my scoop, and it balanced out the raspberry flavor well enough that the raspberry flavor wouldn't be too distracting. However, like I said, I was a little disappointed in not tasting any white chocolate in the Love Potion. So while the flavor was good, I'm glad it's only a Flavor of the Month because I wouldn't get it a second time, but would recommend trying just once if you get the chance. You might like it better than I did, but I personally found the raspberry to be borderline cloyingly sweet. When I was done with my scoop, I tried to find napkins, but didn't see any at the front counter, An employee, who had just stepped inside to start her shift, was looking in my direction, and I asked if there were napkins. I only needed one to wipe my mouth, but she gave me 5 lol. I wish there was a napkin dispenser that is easily accessible for customers so that the employees don't have to touch them first. What is this, The Stand? lol Now that I think about it, perhaps the app upgrade was the reason for my free scoop reward? Not sure, but if you see a notification to update the app, do so, and you might just be rewarded as well :) Service was friendly, but not as friendly as the employees from the other locations. Definitely passable, however, for a chain like Baskin Robbins, though I wish the employee who serviced me would show a little more appreciation for my business. Overall, I do recommend this Baskin Robbins if you're in the area and want some ice cream. I like how it's pretty close to the 605 freeway, so when I needed to go back home, I could take the freeway rather than surface streets the whole way.
