I ordered on Uber Eats and my food came super fresh and hot. I had the 2 catfish and 2 shrimp with a side of red beans. The food was good not salty the red beans had a good Smokey sausage in it. I would say just a little more seasoning would be nice but the food was delicious. read more

If you're considering eating at Catfish Station, I strongly advise against it. I've been going there for a while, and while the food was good in 2022 and 2023, the quality has drastically declined recently. When I ordered from Catfish Station, I received terrible service and even worse food. The chicken looked like little pigeons, and I found shell fragments on my shrimp tacos. I called to express my concerns, as this was unacceptable given the $30 I spent. They informed me that it wasn't their problem. I suggested they communicate with their food truck service because no one wants to buy food that looks more like a baby bird than a proper meal. Their shrimp tacos are so good!, I definitely go with the fried shrimp over the grilled, way more flavor. The grilled catfish with dirty rice is solid too, and I've also had the catfish topped with Étouffée which was really nice. The only miss for me was the gumbo. It just wasn't great, the roux kind of tasted more like a beef stew than gumbo. I feel like adding shrimp along with the chicken and sausage (or offering a shrimp version) could make a big difference. Officially done. I noticed when I last received a door dash that the fish was something other than catfish. I normally order for my children. Catfish is their favorite. I noticed the last few times they haven't devoured their fish as normal, so I ate some. When I called to place a to go order yesterday, I learned Swai fish is the only available choice. NO CATFISH. "If you've eaten here in it the past two years, you ate Swai" is what I was told. When I asked them to cancel the order they hung up. If you don't mind Swai, carry on. read more

Looks can be deceiving. Upon opening my meal, I was excited out how beautifully fried this seafood looked. However, the fish was fried way too hard. Fish with lots of bones should be fried this hard but not catfish which is a delicate piece of fish. The first filet I ate had a texture of a cracker- luckily I didn't reheat the fish because it would have been inedible. I only ate half the plate, and the other filet I ate had a little softer crunch to it, but most definetly I would notate on my next order to not fry the fish hard. Shrimp was probably the best part of the meal. Quite large, not salty, and not overly coated that you can't taste the meat. Fries were also fresh and seasoned nicely. Plenty of them came nestled in the plate. Wish more hushpuppies were included on this meal because they were probably the best I ever had. They had a sweet taste like honey in the batter. Very delicious. You'd think the harder than a cracker fish filet would be the worst part of the meal, but actually I was so disappointed with the gumbo. It was more like a soup, roux wasn't dark enough for my taste, and too much rice. For a chicken and sausage gumbo. I only remember seeing okra in my cup. I will try this place again since they did have my order ready when stated and there were some good menu items I tasted on this visit, but I'll probably avoid getting the gumbo and request the seafood to not be fried so hard and update my review. Unless you want a one way ticket to the bathroom including throwing up and diarrhea. DO NOT EAT HERE! I wanted some Cajun pasta so I decided five minutes down the street to give it a try! When I arrived, it did look a little bit sketch, but I thought maybe this is a hole in the wall situation. I ordered the Rasta pasta, and I ask for shrimp. On the menu it's at eight dollars and my husband ordered another meal. I think it was rice and beans. I'll send pictures as well and that was around ten-ish dollars. We ordered two drinks and our bill came up to $30. I don't really know how but whatever we paid for It. We sat down and they didn't have my shares with put my son and one booster chairs and we waited, the nice thing is that they brought the food to our table. I thought the pasta looked very watery but again I thought it wouldn't be that bad. When I tasted it, I knew I needed salt but then the salt shaker was so dirty. Looks like it hadn't been clean this decade. There were a couple of random pieces of pork in my shrimp pasta. I don't eat pork so that's not ideal. The taste and service it's a 2.5-3 star place. It wasn't the worst experience but it was definitely a place I won't be back to and wouldn't recommend. Here's where it earned a 1 star . The husband took his food to go, and ate it when we got home immediately after he ate it, he ran to the bathroom and started throwing up. I know that I needed to use the bathroom so I went upstairs to use the other bathroom, but we were both Very uncomfortable all night. Once he threw up, he felt better, and as I'm writing you at 6 AM again I'm in the bathroom and this is why I had to write this review. Catfish is good,however dill potato salad needs a little work. Boudin Balls were a little too greasy. However catfish, fish tacos, green beans were good. It has literally been over a year since I posted a review since COVID 19. We really haven't been eating out much at all. But now that my family has been fully vaccinated we are beginning to venture out and one of the first places we visited was this place near Missouri City. In the mood for some catfish I quickly searched my YELP reviews and came upon this place. The reviews appeared positive so we decided to give it a try! It was good! Service was friendly. Protocols were followed and the food was very good! I posted some pictures hopefully they show up. I ordered the combo basket which had 4 filets, 4 jumbo shrimp and hush puppies. Very good! We ordered takeout. Word of warning: the wait at peak times (I went just before 6pm on a Saturday) can be long. When I arrived, there were 6 people ahead of me & it took a while. Lots of to go bags ready on the counter, but it just took time to get through the line. As a take out place, this place is fantastic. Their French fries are some of the best in Houston, no joke! Perfectly crispy outside, soft and creamy inside. I ate them all, something I rarely ever do. I got a dish called "Fish Snack", and it had 3 generous catfish fillets on top of those glorious fries. The catfish was fried to perfection, and the fish was the perfect consistency and flavor inside. I got to sample a new item on their menu, boudain balls. There were 3 of them and they were enormous and hot out of the fryer and came with remoulade sauce. Delicious appetizer. This place was recommended to me by a local Missouri City resident, and thankfully it is very close to work. I saw that the menu had tons of options, which is perfect when coming with a crowd because there is something for everyone. I ordered the Pasta Alfredo which was only 6.99. The pasta is served with a house salad and garlic bread. The pasta was very bland. I truly enjoyed the garlic bread and the salad though. I added some pepper to the pasta and that made it edible. After I left the restaurant, I went to the car and the pasta ended up leaking out of the container and into the bag and onto the seat of my car. I was NOT pleased that this happened. I went back inside and ended up asking for a better togo container. The one that I received was much more stable and should be what the pasta comes in, in the first place. The cashier didn't say too much but she was nice enough to provide me with napkins and to clean up the mess. I ended up adding the salad to the pasta and it made for a really nice taste. I have ordered from this location at least 4 times. 3/4 times it has been via Uber Eats. Today I ordered via Uber and the side salad included had a long, straight, black colored piece of hair. I immediately called and the gentleman who answered transferred me to a lady. I explained what the issue was and she immediately said everyone who prepares food wears a hair net. I'm like ma'am I understand but somehow hair was in my food and it's not mines. She agreed to make another salad for me to pick up and I'm like but I ordered Uber and can't pick it up. I said well can you credit the salad and she is like no take it up with Uber. It was her attitude about it like I would lie about a side salad..when I had ordered $30 worth of food. Finally once we had time, we go up and pick up the side salad (which she prepared with no hair net) and the salad she prepared was a mess. That is why I am writing this review. I stopped by to grab some lunch while I was in the area. It was my first time here. I ordered the fish basket with French fries and a side of red beans and rice. Sianne had amazing customer service. She was really warm and friendly. I appreciate those employees during this time. She let me know my food would be ready in 15 mins. I went to my car to wait. She walked my order to my car which was extremely kind bc it was a super hot day. She really didn't have to do that. The catfish was amazing. It was hot and crispy. The crunch was mukbang worthy. It was nicely flavored and not salty at all. The French fries were good and the red beans and rice was great. It was the typical Popeyes red beans. My mom enjoyed her fish as well. We both wanted more the next day. I will definitely be back to the catfish station when I'm on that side of town. I mean, how could I not! read more

I decided to come here because of the reviews. I ordered the combination catfish and shrimp. I also asked if it were breaded or cornmeal. The girl assured me it was cornmeal. It was breaded cornmeal which is not what I wanted. I was expecting it to be how Brentwood Seafood was back in the 90's or Nicole Burger in Fifth Ward. Catfish that was cooked in cornmeal without the flower as a filler. When I opened the container, I thought I had chicken. It is really chicken fried catfish and shrimp, not bad if that's the only way you've ever had it. The dirty rice was ............ Don't get me wrong, the catfish and shrimp were tasty, just not what I wanted. A lot of places are using flower on their fish. Not many people know how to cook it the way Ms Mable down the street cooked it on Friday, or the way your grandparents or Mom cooked it. But, if you grew up with fish and shrimp cooked in flower and cornmeal, this is the place for you. read more

We had lunch here today because we saw the reviews on Yelp and it was near our home. The food was mediocre but a little over priced for eating out of styrofoam. The service was poor. There were two cashiers and neither one of them even smiled once while we were placing our order. They asked the questions, entered the answers into the cash register and without even looking up asked the next question. When he finished taking the order he looked up to ask if I wanted a receipt for my $34.00 cash lunch for 2. They have a hand written sign on the register that they charge 3% for credit card sales. I rarely review places just because I don't want to take the time, but I MUST review this place. First off, I will check Yelp before ever going anywhere else to spend my money. The reviews warned not to waste your time at this place and I wish I had checked before placing my order and giving my money (my daughter checked after I made my order and she said "let me put my seatbelt back on". The fish or shrimp was not seasoned AT ALL. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2009, so I don't eat much and enough time has passed that I can occasionally have fried foods. I ate the 2 shrimp and a couple breaks of the catfish. After about 30 minutes I experience such horrific stomach pains that I was writhing on the floor, screaming "Jesus please help" and scared my poor granddaughter because she did not know what to do. The pain was so, so bad I tried sticking my finger down my throat to throw up, couldn't and then the other end wanted to erupt all while I am bent over in excruciating pain. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, NOT WORTH IT. read more

I was in the area and was craving something fried. When am I not craving something fried? Lol. I yelped fried catfish and this place popped up right down the street and it was rated at 4 stars. Sure! Why not? I learned that this place is a small chain but the atmosphere inside is more of a mom and pop type of shop! I like it! I almost prefer it that way. The place was empty at around 2pm. Their menu is posted on 4 flat screens right over the counter. They have every seafood combination you can think of. The person taking my order was on the phone the whole time, however. She would not get off the phone while taking my order. The worst part was, she was on speaker phone! I'm not even a stickler for this kind of behavior because I get it... I'm on my phone all the time too. She did not once place the phone down and give me her full attention to take my order. This was just plain rude. I had questions about the menu but it seemed like she was too preoccupied with her boo on the phone. So it wasn't even worth it to try and ask questions. This type of costumer service is horrendous. Right off the bat I'm giving this place 3 stars. My food hasn't even came out yet. I am writing this as I wait. I ordered the catfish platter/basket with a side of hush puppies. Drinks are extra and does not come with the food. I thought that was kind of odd. The food is fresh and very good! The fish had a crispy batter and wasa very flaky! They also had a spicy tar tar sauce. This meal was delicious. Very satisfied. When running a restaurant or any successful business rather, customer service is key. It should be preached from the get go! It is one of the things customers remember and come back for, other than the food/product. The food was really good and deserves 5 stars... but the customer service was severely lacking. I cannot give Catfish Station more than 3 stars for that sole reason. Sorry. 3/5 stars! read more
