I've been a member of SchoolsFirst for about 6 years now and I can honestly say I've never been happier with a financial institution. Banks are for-profit. Credit unions are built different. They are member-owned financial cooperatives, aligned with the philosophy of "people helping people." Here, you're not just another number or customer. You're a member, and most importantly, a member-owner. At a credit union, excess earnings are returned to the members via lower loan rates, higher savings rates, low/no fees, and an array of complimentary services. SchoolsFirst is currently the largest credit union in California--in both membership and assets. But that hasn't caused them to waiver on making members feel valued. Their online banking and mobile banking app are superb, they continue to add branches locally and their affiliation with the CO-OP ATM Network offers surcharge-free access to over 30,000 ATMs spanning 50 states and 10 countries. They celebrate a Member Appreciation Day annually and offer a gift to members, which is usually very nice, and some of the best cookies I've ever had! I've also used their coin machine on several occasions! Recently, I needed to have some documents notarized. I remembered that's one of the many services offered at their branch. I was able to make an appointment easily via their website and received text and email notifications and reminders leading up to my appointment. Trent was amazing. He'd handled similar documents recently and had everything squared away quickly and efficiently. All for a very minimal fee. It was a pleasure working with him and the credit union. I look forward to many more years of membership. Thank you, SchoolsFirst!

They're super nice, but oh so slow. I try to avoid going inside the bank as much as possible, but since all the other branches close so early during the week and closed on Saturday, I was left with no choice. The bank is always super clean, and they have bunches of ATM's both inside and outside. Parking can be a pain, but that's because they're right in the mix with Target, Panera, and every other business in Terra Vista Town Center.

The so-called "manager," Gicel, at the Rancho Cucamonga branch is the most incompetent, unprofessional, and downright useless bank representative I have ever encountered. We arrived at the branch at 11:15 AM on a Saturday--well before their 12 PM closing time--after already making FOUR different attempts by phone and in person to resolve an issue with a Wells Fargo card. We specifically asked to speak with a manager, expecting someone who could actually assist us. Instead, after keeping us waiting, Gicel strolled out at 11:30 AM, only to dismiss our concerns saying she "had to close the store." Excuse me? You're the manager--and your solution is to do absolutely nothing? No attempt to help, no professionalism, no care for customer service--just a lazy, dismissive excuse to avoid doing her job. To make matters worse, instead of offering any real assistance, she mindlessly repeated our concerns back to us as if that was supposed to count as problem-solving or critical thinking. This was, without a doubt, the worst banking experience I have ever had. After 20 years with Wells Fargo, this is how loyal customers are treated? If this is the kind of so-called "leadership" they are putting in charge, then they are pushing long-time customers to take their business elsewhere. Absolutely disgraceful.

I stopped in at BofA in Rancho Cucamonga. I was met with massive smiles from Mayeli Calero and Marilyn Escalona. Right away they offered me a seat and made me feel like a valued customer. They reviewed all my options in a clear and transparent way. They were speedy and thorough. They got everything done in a short amount of time. I'm looking forward to being a long term BofA customer.... Job well done!!!! I'll be sure to let my friends know all about these 2 employees when I hear someone needs to open up a new account.

My understanding is he wanted to check his account for a specific check that paid or is lost to place a stop payment. We walked in, my father inlaw stood in line where there two tellers in attendance. A line formed behind him. After speaking with the teller letting her know the circumstances behind his concerns. She advised him that it would be best to see a behind the desk associate. He walked over found two associates talking in a corner he interrupted their conversation asking for assistance. One associate advised my father I law to walk with her across the lobby to the podium to see if there is a 4:30 appointment as it was 4:33. And no ine was waiting it seems unlikely there's anyone waiting for their appointment. The male associate had to use a pin code to go behind the counter to speak with the FSR (financial service manager) to see if there was an appointment. Meanwhile my father inlay is holding on to the podium to steady himself. Once the male associate returns he advised he doesn't know if there's an appointment. The female associate asked my father inlaw to now walk with her back to her desk have a seat, she will arrange an appointment for tomorrow to come back to the bank to see if that check posted or what can be done if the check hasnt posted yet. I am an associate at a financial institution, I know this bank account search should take no more that 10 min. His appointment is for tomorrow at 9am. I advised this associate that I work in banking seems like an easy thing to look at his account. She gave me a face as if to say oh really?! I said I get it -this is your protocol. She says because we are so close to closing (at 5pm) We drove back home. My father inlaw called the automated customer service searched for the check and placed a stop payment -this took my father inlay less than 10 minutes. I know someone is reading this saying he should have done this to begin with, or why not online? My father inlay comes from a generation where banking is done face to face. The customer service is not found in this banking location. Its just absent this will lead to a distrust in banking. My advise to this location do better!
