I explained the thickness and even suggested they might need additional time. I was assured it would be fine and that Cassidy was skilled with scissor work and could complete the cut within the 45-minute slot. Her father accompanied her to the appointment. The card I had on file was charged--including his tip--but no receipt was provided, and no one communicated that the total came to $85. He had no idea the charge was more than double what we expected. I wouldn't have minded paying more if I had been informed upfront, but the lack of transparency felt dishonest. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

I explained everything to Marisa - she listened intently to my [silly] anxieties about having shorter hair and what I wanted. She was a good conversationalist overall as well and as sweet as can be. All I can say is she did EXACTLY what I asked. My hair type is straight/fine/soft and she cut it in mixed layers around slightly-higher-than-shoulder length and cut some swoopy bangs that I am loving. She also styled it perfectly and showed me how to do it in the future (I'd never had anyone take a hairstyle to that personal of a level). I was so happy with everything that I even bought some of the products she used (I loved the smell, it was sulfate/terrible-ness free, and would help my fine hair hold the little bit of body I wanted to put into it with a curling iron). The entire left side was about 3/4 inches longer than the right, not blended, and forgotten about. The neck line was a hack job. Like to the point where he was questioning if my stylist was drunk. For $85, then $110 with tip (the website says $45+ and I guess they really mean ++++, but I always tip) having my boyfriend fix my haircut didn't feel great. There are twists that are 6" different in length, a third are straight or straggly at the ends. I'm a white lady but I know what good hair should look like. I know that someone with decades of experience should be able to quote their time accurately and not keep a child up until 3 AM on a school night. I know that being on the phone constantly for almost the first 9 hours was disrespectful to my child who was looking forward to having her hair done right for the first time in a long damn time. The venue is STUNNING and just feels fabulous. Charity is amazing and I recommend her to anyone. My first appointment with her I went in for a haircut. I showed her a picture of a hairstyle I wanted and instead of diving in to start my cut right away she asked me "tell me what you like about that style" and took her time to fully understand what I was looking for. I left that day, not with a replica of the picture I showed her, with a haircut created just for ME. She is caring and genuinely loves engaging in conversation with her clients. I left every appointment feeling like I spent an hour + with a close gf. Not only does she make you look amazing, she makes you FEEL amazing.
