She gave Skadi a wonderful trim that honors her coat while keeping her completely tangle-free and much cooler in this brutal Houston heat. Even though Skadi is an indoor dog, staying comfortable during the summer months is so important, and Alex nailed it. Skadi came home looking fantastic, feeling light, and completely relaxed. I will never go to a place that does not require vaccinations and I hope the staff. - My pet ended up developing pneumonia and cost me over $1k in vet bills but is recovering and getting better. - I hope and wish for this to be a positive and learning moment for all invovled. Never trust a place that doesn't require vaccinations... I guess it's my own fault. I was in a rush and needed a quick hair cut for my dog and when I went to check her in they didn't ask anything about vaccinations. I was in a hurry so allowed her to go anyways since my dog has all her vaccination's. Lesson learned... my dogs "bourdatella" was on her last week and she was due a vet appointment the following week. Well she got kennel cough and the poor girl has felt Terrible. Cost me over $250 in vet visit and pills and they wouldn't renew her vaccine while she was sick so I had to go back this week and pay more money for a second visit and her get shots updated.

After weeks of trying to coordinate schedules, my schnauzer's hair got longer than ever. He loves wearing shirts, so yes, he had some matting. I paid extra for de-matting and gave very clear instructions: shave the skirt, but keep a full beard along with his chest and paws fluffy. Y'all... when I picked him up, I genuinely did not recognize my own dog. He walked in looking like a miniature schnauzer and walked out looking like a scrappy chihuahua named Peanut. They shaved EVERYTHING. His entire body, his face, even his whiskers. HIS WHISKERS. WTF. I know hair grows back and thankfully it's summer, but I honestly felt bad for him. As someone with longer hair myself, if somebody sat me down and buzzed me to the skin without warning, I'd probably need emotional support and a hoodie for a month. My dog still seems happy and unbothered, but I'm traumatized enough for both of us. After years of loyalty, this was incredibly disappointing and totally unacceptable. We will never come back..

We booked with Lufthansa for our trip. Something that should've taken no more than two days from departure date to arrival date took 7 days! I booked with the Christy the whole works: transportation from Airport to Car rental to Doggie day care, showers for all, 10 day quarantine and kennel cleaning because dogs can only hold it so much. Ya'll??!! When I say this crew came through, I mean it! I was stuck in X country due to Lufthansa's strike with my two dogs. However! And in all fairness Lufthansa also came through for me and my pups. I won't go into detail but Lufthansa despite the challenges and mistakes by it's employees, my husband, the four pups and I were taken care of even though at times it felt like they were going to drop the ball but persistence and taking extra precaution got us home and thanks to Christy and her crew we felt like our move was the right move. I'm being dead serious. Christy trusted us and even though at times it felt like a made up story from my side she was a woman of her word and our Angel. I trust her with my dogs any day. He is an adorable little Maltese mix but he had some aggression issues. I interviewed three different dog training businesses before deciding on LYPA.
