I just wanna say... it's been 1 year and 3 days since I've involved myself with this place. Tried to not think of it to be honest.. I have wanted to leave a view so many times.. I used to hold so much resentment for this facility and I still do really.. My cat passed away a year ago on this day, August 23rd. Three days prior of her passing, I took her to this place... When I dropped off my cat to be groomed. I never expected that three days later she would have died. And I can't help but think that, Her experience here had something to do with it.. My cat had regular checkups at her vet, so I was never made aware that there was an underlining health problem with my sweet baby. My cat had also never been groomed before. I found this place and read a couple of good reviews but I guess I didn't read enough of them and I certainly didn't read them on Yelp... If I had I wouldn't have chosen this place. I made it clear to the owner that she had never been groomed before, let alone a full on soaking bath. I just took her there to get her ears cleaned and her nails clipped. I asked about the dander in her Fur, and if it could be removed without a Bath, she said that she's looking a little oily and that she could probably use the bath and I expressed that she's never had one. And she said no worries I'll turn on the water and see how she does. After she cleans her ears and clips her nails. She tells me that she seems to be doing okay with the water. And that she'll go forward with the bath.. i said ok ( I assumed that for someone to work at a cat grooming place that they're experienced in bathing a cat.) So I proceeded to go to my car and wait until she was done.. I came back in about 20 minutes later and I could hear my cat yowling, While she was using a very loud machine to blow dry her.. When the owner comes out from the back she looked Like she had claw marks/bleeding scratches all over her arms and hands.( And they weren't there when I dropped off my cat.) Which made me believe my cat gave her a problem. I asked if everything was okay and she insisted that it was and that she did great. But something in me knew that wasn't the case. I honestly feel like she traumatized my cat.. Especially after getting her back to me, my cat definitely looked scared. Not to mention, the owner seemed very chaotic and spurattic with her movements.. ( I couldn't help but to assume, judging the fact that she might have been under the influence of something) 2 days later, I noticed a change in my cat. She wasn't acting normal and her breathing was very rapid. I took her into the vet and they informed me she is having problems breathing and her heart was inlarged. They explained it to me a CHF. (Congestive heart failure) And she died about a day later. The first thing I couldn't help but think was that her experience with the groomer traumatized her so aggressively that it affected her heart. And I also couldn't help but think that. She was uncaring and not really gentle with my cat. And probably forced her the bath and forced blow-dried her. And her poor little heart was probably pumping so hard.... I blame this place and I still kind of do. But just the experience that I had With that place in itself was unpleasant and didn't help to not convince me, it was the blame. I always think about my precious fur baby. But today's hitting a little harder, Being as I found her no longer with us on this day one year ago. I just wanted to share my story. Ummmmmm.... I don't know what to think?!?! 1. Barely answered the phone once we dropped off our cat. 2. No returned calls. 3. She sent pics of our cat! Obviously, she saw our missed calls and received our messages but chose to reply with a photo text. 4. Received an unpleasant photo of our cat, which made us concerned throughout our vacation. 5. Picked up our cat, he was locked in laundry room, she told us she didn't know where he was but went straight to a closed door. 6. When asked about our concerns, I believe she lied. read more

Wish I could leave zero stars. I had a bad experience with this woman last year, and foolishly gave her another chance. The first time she tried to put plastic covers on my cat's claws, couldn't do even one in a half hour, then screamed at me about my evil cat, who my vet in a previous city got all 10 covers on in less than 15 minutes. This time, I took 2 cats to be bathed. Dropped them off at 8am, went back to get them at 3pm. She hadn't bathed either of them, because they wriggled when she picked them up, like 99% of cats will do when the see bathwater in front of them. I asked why she hadn't called to tell me this in the morning so I could take them elsewhere. She immediately screamed at me for "wanting her to 'risk her life' " and to "get out of here, you effing b----!" while she advanced toward me. I had to remain calm & polite, because my cats were in a room behind her. She continued to scream at me while I gathered up my cats and got the heck out of there. I honestly thought she might hurt me. I was shaking. I called my vet to tell them what happened and suggest that they stop recommending this place to people. read more

Let me just say, I should have read the reviews before trying this place out. When I told them I was upset, she put the blame on me. They intended to keep my cat all weekend bc we didn't get there before they closed. Makes sense. Except the site says they close at three. We intended to get there no later than one. But she decided to close early that day. Again, my fault? Also we dropped the cat off at 9am, she said she was bitten (this cat is nine months old and I have three kids, it has never shown any aggression), my cat wasn't groomed anyway lol and they waited three and a half hours to call instead of right after it all happened. Thankfully they didn't charge us for their unprofessionalism. And although she was rude and acted as if she was doing ME a favor by letting me pick up my cat they didn't groom, she did come up to allow us to get him. So there's that. We will def be driving out to Saint Louis for an experienced groomer. read more

We brought in 3 cats to be bathed and 1 to be shaved. The owner wasn't able to do anything to our cats. She obviously didn't try very hard because I have bathed one of my cats before, and if I can do it someone who made this their profession should definitely be able to do it. Super disappointed seemed like she didn't even care to really try. Would never recommend this place. read more

Went inside to this place and there was nobody at the front desk. There was only two cats there and they had no food or water in the bowls and the owner wasn't even in the building! Never going there again! read more

They are super hard to get in touch with. I literally had to call and leave a message, e-mail, and physically go their. Once we were able to finally get an appointment I was very disappointed with the groom. My cat was still massively shedding when she got home like she hadn't even been brushed, and on top of that she said she wasn't able to do a sanitary shave best cause the cat wouldn't sit still. Really she's a cat you expect her to sit still that like asking a toddler to sit still getting a hair cut. When making the appointment she also questioned me on my cat because she had previously groomed a cat with the same name who she refused to groom again because she wasn't able to handle that cat. We've found a certified cat groomer (Stephanie) at pet supplies plus in STL who is AMAZING and never has had a issue with either of our long haired cats. read more

As a cat owner I couldn't be more thrilled that there is a "cat only" groomer and boarding place in the area. I bring my fur baby Julius here every few months for his regular grooming which is performed by the owner Dana. She is a certified CFMG, certified feline master groomer so I know he is getting the best care possible. I learned my my previous groomer who was also CFMG, that they go through a rigorous process in order to be certified as such and there expertise in the feline area really does show. They know exactly what they are doing. If you need your kitty groomed please go to one of these experts and not your random pet store. It is well worth your money. Cats only also boards cats and even though we haven't used them for that I have seen the accomdations and I can see that the cats that are there have nothing but the best accommodations. Separate little rooms with climbing areas, toys and plenty of room. You will not be disappointed. read more
