Definitely don't skip the salad bar and it might even be enough to be your meal, but if you are like me you'll want a steak too anyway The salad bar has a lot of options for a salad plus pasta salad, potato salad, broccoli salad and coleslaw. My son's steak came out well done when we asked for med-rare ... my husband's chili never came out .. they came out after his meal not hot ... never got a single drink refill .. the waitress who I guess was the bartender too was horrible and could barely bring myself to tip her 10 % ! The waitress and bartender were nice. The salad bar was excellent and would be the only reason for our return. The cocktails we ordered, one a margarita and the other their speciality drink, were very light on tequila. We both ordered the chicken fried steak, one without gravy. I saw the waitress make note of that. Of course, it came with gravy and she had to have another one made. To her credit, she had it replaced quickly. The chicken fried steak looked like something from our school cafeteria days. Thin and little breading. They very much looked like they were frozen and not hand made. Wife's baked potato was good and my mashed potatoes were plentiful but even with white gravy were bland. The food and drink quality was not worth another try even with a great salad bar. read more

I have been to this location twice now. The first time was for lunch and there was no wait. They have a reasonably priced lunch menu. The all-you-can eat salad bar at lunch was fresh and less expensive than eating fast food. I am so glad to see salad bars back after covid! The second time we went for a Saturday dinner and had just a 25 minute wait. The place is new so very clean with the smell of fresh cut lumber. I'd never taken the opportunity to check out this specific steakhouse. But, I was told it's an average steakhouse from other friends and other people who have viewed this place. Overall, it was a good experience. Not excellent but good. My wife and I had taken two friends with us to try this place and right off the bat, we were seated immediately. That was an awesome change of pace. Normally, you have to wait 15/20 minutes, but these people took care of us the second we walked in the door. Our server, was quite nice. My apologies for not remembering her name, but she was top-notch. She was at our table within the first three minutes and took our drink orders and surprised us with a couple of their signature cocktails. And my friend ordered one of these. We did order a couple of appetizers, but while we were waiting for those, we were enjoying some of the best rolls this side of Kentucky. And I will admit these things blow Texas roadhouse out of the water! That is no joke! These things are absolutely the best I've ever had.Their cinnamon Butter goes excellent with this. Please use caution! It's easy to eat a lot of these before your dinner gets to you! We enjoyed our salads and our appetizers and then of course, the food shows up. My wife, salmon, was rubbery, She enjoyed it, but she did state, she wouldn't order it again. She stated that it was a little rubbery, but it was cooked all the way through. My friend's wife ordered the fillet. She did order it, unconventionally medium to medium well and it did come out exquisitely raw. My friend's ribeye came out and he stated that it was OK, but it was so salty or the seasoning was so salty, that It was truly hard to eat. My bone in ribeye, was burnt to a crisp. I did ask for a medium, and it came out very well done. Pictures are down below. And I will admit. The loaded sweet potato is absolutely, undeniably, evil! OMG this was the best I've ever had. This made the meal worth it if you don't get any steaks, chicken or whatever, I promise you you need to order this! There is a picture down below. Over all the experience in the restaurant was very nice. The place was packed, the manager came out and apologized, but of course, this is not the manager's fault. It is because this place was exquisitely busy. I would go back to give it a second chance. And honestly, I would give this place about a 3.5 stars. And again the manager was very cordial understood and made it right. He did offer desserts, but of course, as you all have read my reviews, I typically don't take food back or get a different dinner because of kitchen members and our staff can be a problem in the past. (Insert memoirs ot the movie WAITING) My friend's wife did get a new fillet and it was cooked properly and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She stated it wasn't as salty as the ribeye, but, it was something she would probably not order again. The desserts that were offered, for a steakhouse were top-notch. It's a basic cheesecake with raspberry or chocolate sauce, the lava cake with ice cream. Of course while they're fresh and hot I'm sure they're amazing. My wife and I enjoyed those when we got home much later that evening because we were both filled to the brim. The server, was amazing The manager, was amazing. And the only complaints I have honestly is the lack of education and or training for the cooking staff in general. As I stated, I am willing to give this place another chance. I typically give Three, but after that, if it's bad, it's bad. read more

Our waiter, Sam, was TOP NOTCH. So this isn't about him at all! He was quick to address empty cups and all the things you want a waiter to do! The low review is simply the food. Absolutely and totally subpar. My husband got the tender tips: just dry hunks of beef with grilled mushrooms and onions. I say dry, and it's not because the meat was overcooked or anything, it was literally dry. No gravy or anything to bind together the meat and vegetables. I got a burger that said it had crispy onion strings and it was literally nothing but a burger with half melted cheese, one tomato slice, and some shredded lettuce. No sauce, no mustard/ketchup, no mayonnaise. A Wendy's burger is better. As it stands, we won't be back, and I suggest someone with the personality like Sam go elsewhere where the food is as good as his serving skills! read more

I am Vietnam Veteran. Just went to Cattlemens restaurant in Walton. Got there at 4:06. When we went to order the waitress said Veteran special ended at 4:00. Cattleman's is a new find in Walton that is a great surprise. It's hard to find a family owned steakhouse anymore, and this place has it all-great service, great atmosphere, and best of all, great food! The salad bar is included in many of the dinners, and it's fresh and extensive...and filling! My main was the sirloin and mashed potatoes-real ones!- and both were fabulous. The steak was moist and tender, perfectly cooked. We also found the prices reasonable for a steakhouse! Can't wait to return, it's well worth a try! read more

The Richwood location is a nice addition to the area for dining. My wife n I have only done order online n pickup 4 times since they opened about a month ago. We do pickup bec we watch FCC games while having dinner. Tomorrow will be our next order. Yes, FCC game. Packaging for pickup is great, they review the order when we pickup except for this last time. No prob, we (myself and CSR) opened up the bag at the counter and ensured order was fulfilled correctly. I noticed potato skin appetizer has been cut down from 6 skins to 5 skins. Steaks are always excellent. Wife didn't like the mozzarella sticks, but loved the loaded sweet potato, which will prob be her go-to side or appetizer. The website for on-line ordering is excellent, very easy to navigate. The front counter people have always been friendly and polite, even when very busy. read more

We arrived early on a Friday evening because we had tickets to a show. We were seated quickly. We each ordered a steak. The steaks were cooked to our liking and delicious. I ordered the grilled asparagus and it was perfect. My husband had a baked potato and my daughter had the sweet potato. The sides were good. The service was good and our server kept our water topped. Great new restaurant. I've eaten there four times since their opening a couple weeks earlier. The steaks are thick and tender, cooked perfectly. The salad bar is fresh and delicious, try the house dressing. Service is courteous and prompt. Highly recommend it. They also have a loyalty program. read more
