Our company moved HDQ here and I am here a lot so I wanted to find a good spot to eat that's walking distance from my hotel. The food was really good! I ordered the Cali burger and instead of fries I got a Ceasar salad. The flavor of the burger was delicious (I added jalapeños) I really liked the Ceasar especially adding lemon to it (they add lemon wedge something i forgot to ask for) so it was great That flaky, buttery, delicious croissant was EVERYTHING! 10/10 I will be ordering more from here read more

Rafferty's has been a long time favourite of ours. In the past of raved about their steaks and with good reason but on this occasion I went with the Chicken Finger Platter that came with hand breaded deep fried chicken tenders with sweet and spicy dipping sauce. It came with a couple of sides which I got baked potato and bowl of potato soup. The soup and potato were awesome and the chicken fingers definitely were good one's with lots of flavour in the chicken and dipping sauce was decent. The service was impeccable as always here with our waiter who we've had many times being soooo good. The restaurant looked awesome and had the the awesome aroma of smoked meats in the air which is definitely part of the experience. And of course don't forget to get some of their Honey Butter Croissants which is some of the best bread on the planet. All in all an outstanding meal and I can't recommend Rafferty's enough. Im a flight attendant and eat out often and in many different cities. I think I get exposed to plenty of different types of servers and levels of service. There has been a noticeable decline in good service most places and that's not specific to one place.... With this in mind is what made Jennifer S with somewhat curly hair down to her shoulders a total stand out. It was easily the BEST SERVICE I had received all year from any restaurant. I've been a server for years before so I know what to look for, and what it looks and feels like. The most wonderful thing about it all was she was not even trying to impress me she was just being herself. Jennifer never wavered in her excellence from start to finish. Just little unexplainable things even that just took my impression off the charts. She offered me a sample of the soup, glad she did I didn't like it unfortunately. She had great sales-ability but wasn't pushy which I love. She was attentive but left me alone when it was appropriate. I never had to ask for EVEN ONE THING.... She was intuitive and a step ahead of everything. Also not to be overlooked in the slightest her demeanor was so pleasant and just happy which is just not as normal of a thing anymore as you might think. I go to Rafferty's whenever I am in the mood for a big delicious salad. There are many to choose from and they're always fresh. It's usually crowded, but still easy to get into and they have plenty of servers, and the food comes out quickly. A nice choice when you're in the Florence area. read more

In Florence for training. I thought I might try J Alexander's, but decided to go all the way to Rafferty's. The House salad with honey mustard salad dressing with bacon was good. I hesitate to write this review because I don't want people to know about our quick spot for a great dinner. We always get seated right away and I don't want that to change. They have the best Chicken Mushroom soup in the world. Their soup menu rotates week to week so you have to come on the right week to get it. My other secret menu item here is the Prime Rib Sandwich. It's a big slab of Prime Rib (with Au Jus) on a toasty French Bread roll with a side. It's like getting a Prime Rib dinner at almost half the price of a Prime Rib Dinner. I order the Garlic Mashed as my side. This meal never disappoints. My husband loves their Croissants and he typically gets the Potato Soup and Salad combo. We eat so well and yet don't break the bank to do it. Service has always been great. They play music that caters to us Baby Boomers so we like that, as well. read more

Ate here tonight with wife on a Monday nite. Parking was plentiful and we were seated immediately. We started withnan order of fried mushrooms. I pulled a lot of the breading off them, but they were good. I had a bowl of their famous potato soup--it was awesome. The house salad was terrific came with hot bacon dressing, my favorite.. My wife had the chicken tenders with french fries--a very generous portion of tenders. My choice was the prime rib, cooked perfectly (medium.) It seemed to be kind of tough and with a little too much fat on it, so I'm deducting a star for that, but everything else was greatis . Service by Kayley was attentive and friendly. A little noisy, so may not be ideal for a quiet date, but normal conversation is possible. read more

Took off 1 star since the ambiance was filled with a female worker speaking very LOUD to another as we could hear the entire conversation. Other than that it was fine. The mashed potatoes were super bland and had an odd aftertaste and the steak was super fatty. Probably close to 25% of it was chunks of fat. Flavor was jus as bland. The atmosphere was nice. I walked across the parking lot from the Hilton Cincinnati North to find Rafferty's. I was able to get the last seat at the bar at the time I went. It had a great vibe---many TV's and sports on all (mostly tennis due to the timing). They had some great craft beers on draught. I ordered the Rhinegeist Truth which is my "go to" beer when visiting the area. For the main course, I ordered the "catch of the day" which was Mahi Mahi charcoal grilled and blackened with cajun seasoning. It was cooked perfectly. The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. And finally--- probably the best reason to give them a 5 star was the bartender Shelly who was probably the nicest, fastest and hardest working person in the restaurant. She says she's been there nearly 30 years and loves her job. I can tell from her work ethic and attitude. Good food / friendly service / nice outdoor seating area. I've been here twice. The first time I got the Cowboy Sirloin, sweet potato and salad. I have a garlic intolerance and they stepped up to the plate and made sure I didn't get any seasoning. This steak didn't need it. It was fantastic and done perfect. The second time I came I got the catch of the day which was mahi mahi. It was so good I had to say it twice. Just kidding - it was pretty good - a little on the dry side but if that's all I have to complain about getting fish in land-locked Ohio I'm doing pretty good. Decided to go with the Pork Chops and Caesar Salad. A croissant (drizzled with a little honey) came with the salad which was a nice surprise, and the pork chops and mashed potatoes were good. The staff was willing to put our team's game one one of the TV's. The waitress was so patient with us because we weren't going to stay if they didn't have the capability to show the game. Once they got the game on, she took excellent care of us for 3 hours. Never felt rushed to turn over the table, even as the place started to fill up. Fried mushroom appetizer was massive and delicious. Got a half rack of ribs, even though the menu only offers a full rack. The chicken salad was great as well. Ordered the 8oz fillet medium rare. It came out medium rare but it was the driest fillet I've ever had in my life. Fillets are generally tender and juicy, this was not. The plate was even dry. No juice. No blood. Avoid. The bartender however was awesome, she was great. Good salad. read more

The con's are fewer... The customer service up front is generally younger less savvy individuals that haven't been schooled in great customer service Their ability to slice and dice a larger group for seating The interior is a bit dated They close really early during the week It's a solid place to take a group of 4 without a huge wait and the food tastes good. Came here for dinner on Saturday night and was immediately seated at a high top table in the bar area for our party of two. The table was big enough for 5, so we had plenty of room. The restaurant was a bit dark with lots of TVs playing sports, and the atmosphere seemed quite pleasant. Staff was prompt and friendly. Great service. We got Nutty honey butter croissants as an appetizer, and there were 5 doughy croissants that tasted okay but I felt were a bit underdone in the middle. The pecans all fell to the bottom of the bowl. For my dinner, I got the House salad and soup combo with fat free ranch dressing and the soup of the day (seafood gumbo). I would say the meal was okay. Not bad, but not spectacular. The salad came with another croissant, but it didn't have any pecans. It was really buttery though. The soup was a bit spicy. Next time I'll probably splurge on a prime rib instead of trying to get a healthier meal... which I'm not sure was even that healthy, with the fried potato sticks and bacon on my salad and the 3 croissants that I ended up consuming. read more

Had a layover and went to dinner here. Ambience was cozy with really friendly and accommodating staff. Ordered the Ribeye, which came with a nicely sized side salad (essentially a cobb salad with a croissant) and ordered the sweet potato side with candied pecans. The food was overall delicious, not steakhouse quality, but good for a diner/bar. Only complaint was ribeye was a bit on the grisly side for me, and food was served lukewarm. That said I was starving and didn't give the staff the opportunity to fix it, but the guy next to me sent his order back and they were more than happy to re-cook the order and he seemed happy after. read more
