I've gone to this place a number of times to ship some things and to get passport photos taken. I like it because the people are friendly, and if you don't want to pack up the box yourself, you can pay them to do it for you and mail it for you. But one of the main reasons I go there is to give them packing materials that I don't want to put in the landfill. They will take your Styrofoam peanuts and clean Styrofoam and clean boxes because they can use that stuff, and I find that to be very helpful. read more

My experiences at Caughlin Pack-n-Ship have always been consistently great! The newest owner, Mike, is always willing to help and/or offer solutions to anything I need to mail. And, Anna is amazing! She is patient will all requests and knows what you can and can't do as far as anything you need to mail, pack, or ship. My experience with Caughlin Pack-N-Ship was maybe a minute total. 30 seconds when I spoke to someone named Mike on the phone to ask if they take USPS drop offs. And another 30 seconds to walk my package in the store. They have a drop off bucket for boxes with pre paid USPS shipping labels. It was so convenient to have a place to drop off USPS packages so close since the nearest USPS store isn't really close. I dropped off my package around 2 and it was picked up same day. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because my interaction wasn't long enough to rate customer service. read more

DO NOT SHIP ANYTHING HERE!! I walked in with a pre wrapped packaged for shipment to the UK. It was already packed, address written and ready to go. I waited a few minutes while the employees worked on a package for another customer. One employee was training the other. When I was helped the info was entered into the computer after she weighed and measured the package. Then the bomb dropped... She told me the cheapest rate she could offer me through USPS was $62!! $60???? I ship packages frequently to a friend in the UK so I knew this was outrageous. I grabbed the package and drove straight to the Post Office. How much did I pay you ask... $34!! That included shipping and first class mail! There was no rush to get it there and low and behold, it has now arrived perfectly for half the price. I understand the idea of requiring a fee for the effort / convenience. Double the cost however is outrageous. I will never step foot in this store again and you shouldn't also! Save yourself the hassle and a TON of money! read more

I asked my neighbor to Fed Ex 2 day this envelope to Maui, HI. When I got a photo of the bill she received and it was $141, I called Fed Ex and they told me this company overcharged me by approx $80.00. Fed Ex attempted to talk to them with me on the phone. They would not answer the phone. However, I left a message with Fed Ex on the phone. I would recommend you NEVER utilize this company. They did after phone calls reluctantly credit my neighbors credit card the $80, but their greed should never have gotten to this point. 2 day USPS would have been $24 and Maui Fed Ex said it should have cost $38 going thru Fed Ex. It's been a few months since my post and it appears a lot has changed. Hopefully for the good. First off, the office manager of the location has since been FIRED. A few other staff have been let go as well. Second, the actual owner of the business reached out to me and apologized for the way her staff has been treating their customers/clients. I've had a mail box at this location for years!! To clarify the recent note that Marco alluded to, these were not one time incidents. I just pointed out one, which was the most recent one that caused me to end my ties with this establishment. Customer Service is reason why I stay with a company, if your having a bad day, you should not come to work. In addition, I learned the response to my original post was NOT from the owner, but one from the office manager. My box was never passed due. The response is inaccurate. I paid for my box annually which was due to re-up in April. Not sure where 2 months passed due came from. Keep in mind the reason I was speaking to any of their staff in April was because I was going to extend another year. The whole interaction of trying to re-up between the staff and the office manager made me end my ties with this establishment. I think it's only fair to post an update as the staff here has changed. It says a lot to me when the actual owner reaches out to you and wants to have a discussion about what went wrong. I was not the only one who was treated unprofessionally by her previous staff. Worst service ever! I have been shipping from this place for about 3 years. Usually the service is average, not great and not terrible but today's experience was so horrible I will never return. I wanted to ship a care package to a relative in a healthcare facility. Due to his health issues, I wanted it to arrive asap. I arrived at caughlin pack and ship approximately 5:05 pm Monday evening. The lady first tried putting it in a flimsy envelope that could barely close, I asked for different packaging and she put the items loose in a box and didn't offer packing peanuts or anything to keep them from rattling around. Ok, I thought... it's not breakable so I didn't say anything. Then she rang up my credit card without offering shipping options or looking up my customer info. When I asked when it would be delivered she said probably Friday but maybe later, no guarantee! I told her I had wanted to have it delivered sooner, and she said "well I assumed this is what you wanted, and I did you a FAVOR by putting it in a box". I said "you assumed, you never asked me what I wanted or offered any options, I would like to have it shipped a faster method". (I was also thinking that I'm the repeat, paying customer favoring them with my business, not the other way around). Anyway, she ripped open the box and asked me to leave, I had to ask her to refund my card because she didn't offer to do so. I went to the UPS store on Keystone. Was served promptly with a smile, offered a variety of options and they packed the items with care. My package will arrive no later than 10:00 am Wednesday. Honestly I don't understand Yelp's practice of filtering reviews, more times than not they filter the good ones!! I highly suggest everyone to take a look at the filtered one, as well, before making any decision. Anyway, I have been using this facility a few times, both for personal and business shipping. For Christmas we dropped 14 gift baskets (in 3 batches) and, in the busiest of the season, they perfectly packed every basket and shipped; every one of them arrived at destination on time and intact. Yes, you do pay more than the post office or ups-fedex stores but you get a different type of service and I don't mind paying more, if this means keeping my money locally! Bad days happen to everyone, I never cut off a business after one single incident, and always reach out to business owners or managers to clarify before leaving a review online: it's called ethics! read more

Terrible. Do not even step foot in here unless you want to wait in line while three employees look right at you. Owner who just started working there told me to "drop the attitude" despite her opening "on accident" my outgoing mail. So, it has become apparent from other posts, owner's wife or employee, has a habit of telling customers to "Get Out"! Something so simple and such a minute request.... Today, my wife and I came into this establishment for passport document copying. I didn't want to just start using their copier right away. So, I waited for the woman behind the counter to acknowledge my presence. When she asked if I needed help, I said, yes I do. She said I will be with you in a moment. No problem. She was nice enough to assist me after she was done with her present customer. I will give her that. I had my driver's license on the copier ready and asked if I could have one sheet with the front and back of my license on the same sheet. She preceded to make a copy of the front and a copy of the back and told me I had to cut out the copy of the back of the driver's license and paste it to the sheet of the front of the license and make a copy of the copy. Really? You can't just reload the copied sheet back into the hopper, I said? No, it doesn't work that way, she said. If you want something different, you will have to go somewhere else. Disappointed, I started packing up my belongings, not saying a word. Then from behind my back, she said, "Sir, you need to leave my store now, we don't need your kind of attitude here. Really? I told her, I didn't say a word. You are huffing and sighing, now leave! If the owner reads this, I had planned on buying much more shipping supplies and stamps in addition to the copies. But, that got ruined over $.32 worth of copy paper. Was it because you HAD to sell me three sheets of paper instead of one? Additionally, I was planning on paying for the two sheets of paper. But, when she told me to leave, I guess that was that. I will be mailing you the $.32 plus tax in the form of a check for your paper supplies. But, I will never step foot into your store again. I am a fellow business owner and would never dream of treating my customers in such a rude and unprofessional manner. Yes, everyone has a bad day or gets "hangry". I get it. I have to say that I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews, but I took my 5 bottles of wine country purchases to be packed for checking at the airport. It took her about 15 minutes, and she came out with a fairly large box. We checked it at the airport without problem, and grabbed it off the baggage claim carrousel when we got to Nashville, TN. When we opened the package, we laughed. My husband said that the wine would have been unharmed, even if the plane crashed! Each bottle was wrapped in bubble wrap, and the box was cushioned with peanuts, bottom and top. And, it only costs us $16. Great job, Caughlin Pack-N-Ship! We could not be happier with your service!
