First off As a company, I do not like FedEx. They lie. Then there is the atrocious auto dialing and customer service phone system. Horrible. However, they are generally the best option for shipping outside of the USPS timeframes for availability. This FedEx location has some of the best employees. Quick, helpful and polite. I've been to this location several times in the past few months for shipping large items. The wait times are short, the staff answer questions accurately and I've always felt they have been very helpful. OK I'm going to put this review smack dab in the middle. I've only been here once. But it wasn't all bad. Started out just fine with a wonderful employee that was very polite and helpful. She got me all up to speed so I could do my printing. I wish I could remember her name. Thank you for your work and helping me. However: (cue music of a doomlike quality). I went to the machine to get started on my little project. I was getting a bit flummoxed. I saw that another customer was being attended by a fella who was helping him with his issue. So I quietly waited for their transaction to finish. The employee sees that I'm waiting and comes over to assist me. I in my jovial and usually self deprecating manner explaining to him my misfortune with the infernal machine. You know keeping it light. But I don't know what went wrong. I was just communicating with this individual when he cut me off and said "let me finish". All kindness, humor and understanding has officially left my body. I have to now get out of the store immediately before I lose my temper. Because before this negative interaction I was in a really good mood. I tell him I have to go now. So I return to the front counter and return all my cards and such to the pleasant lady that helped me in the first place. Apparently I have no poker face whatsoever. She asks if everything is ok. I confirmed that it's nothing she or anyone else there has done(I'm desperately trying to extricate myself before I lose it). But, I tell her there was that guy over there who is patently rude and unprofessional. She apologized. i reiterated that it wasn't her fault. Now I'm feeling kinda half bad. This is now making me even more mad. I leave. OK that's about it. Not saying that this location is a no-go but it definitely needs to train it's staff in the fine art of customer service. read more

This review is for the Amazon Returns portion of the business. Companies agree to do Amazon Returns to be able to gain customer traffic and cultivate customers. I walked in midday on a weekday and the self service kiosk wasn't marked as an Amazon Returns Kiosk. I asked if it was and the clerk said only if it was currently logged in. It wasn't. I had to wait about 5 minutes for someone else that had an issue with holes in a print order. When It was finally my turn, the label printer wasn't working and only printed to a different printer that the clerk then had to find. Bottom line my return eventually got processed (about 14 minutes) but they are not shining as a place I would want to come for other business with all of the confusion and missteps. read more

A friend of mine has all of his books spiral bound by Fed Ex Kinko's so that you can leave the book open where you left off and the book lies flat. I brought in 6 of my books that I use for daily spiritual readings... "one day at a time"... The store was busy with a couple of clerk/ manager's handling both Fed Ex shipping and custom printing requests. I had about a 5 minute wait so I checked my emails on my iPhone. Convenient location. Professional and friendly staff. Spacious store. I've been here numerous times over the past few years and have not encountered any issues whatsoever. The staff have always been helpful even when they're understaffed and especially during the pandemic shutdown as they remained open. It was nice to come, interact with persons outside of my office (we were open as well) and friendly faces at that! Admittedly, the majority of my visits here are to drop off overnight packages, but I have sent a couple of print jobs here and the staff did a great job and on time! Also, if I had a big copy or print job that I'd be able to do myself, this store has 4/5 machines for your use There is a situation that I want to share to show how awesome staff here is - I dropped off a package to be shipped, got a receipt and left. A couple days later, the recipient informed me that they hadn't received the package. I couldn't find my receipt, so I came back in, spoke with a manager who asked me for details such as - the day I dropped off and the city and state of destination, among other things, then told me to come back the next day. When I returned the next day, the manager was actually able to track down the package and give me details as to when it was delivered. If THAT isn't customer service, I don't know what is! I don't recall which manager it was, so sadly, I do not have his name, but I was so grateful for his help!! read more

I'm giving them one star because there is nothing lower. Walmart shipped a package through FedEx here in Reno, NV but failed to put my address on it, all it had was Sparks, NV. So FedEx picked an address and delivered it to who knows who. I guess they thought some randon house looked like a good place to leave my package!!! When I was notified that my package was delivered along with a photo of someone's door... I called to ask where it had been delivered and that it wasn't my house. They said oh that happenes, there was no address so some house was picked. They couldn't go and get it because they apparently didn't know where they left it. And why they just picked a house to drop it off to remains a mystery!! So some unknown person got a free electric skillet and they have to idea why!!! FedEx still hasn't explained why they did this!! Recently moved to Reno and before we could find our printer in a sea of boxes I went down to the FedEx kinkos to use their business center and print some documents out. This facility never has enough employees on the floor and they don't acknowledge you waiting for them. Both times I tried to print something the printer jammed. Once because one of the employees had loaded the incorrect type of paper into the machine. If you're able, bring you're own laptop and use the free WiFi to print directly from your computer on their network. Otherwise you have to pay by the minute to use their computer and by the time you login to your email and find what you want to print and get it printed then you've paid $10ish for your one print job. read more

Guy was a jerk. I come to pick up a painting that was well packaged and notice damage on the outside package. I had wanted to bring it to the guys attention in case I needed to make a claim based on the damage. Instead of having empathy and appear to care, he goes to explain that they offer a 'packaging service' for art and that the conveyors go up to 30MPH and that this type of damage can happen (kinda obvious as it happened). Now does that mean it happens often??? I don't often have packages torn apart as this. I guess this is what you expect for a FEDEX sideshop that probably makes their living off of folks blindly bringing things in to be wrapped for them. Anyway, I definitely would not come here for service and I'm sure they don't care if I don't have another item delivered there as they probably don't make anything off it. Seriously, use this location and you'll see the crumbling of America right before your eyes! If your curious what it looks like when employees don't give a shi*, look no further. Wow. That is the only thing I can say about this place. I needed to return a fairly large box to a company that sent me the wrong size of equipment. It weighed about 40lbs and was an odd shape for 1, five foot 100lb female to carry as it was impossible for me to wrap my arms around and get a grip. I went in to this location with my shipping label in hand and told them I had a return and asked if some one could assist me grabbing the package. I was the only customer in the store. I was parked in the first parking space by the door trunk open ready for the package to be removed. There were 3 employees clearly standing around, and out of the 3, 2 of them where men who could have easily helped me. lordena, the women at the cashier said " you can use the carts, how did you get it in your own car with out help." I said I had help from a neighbor and I didn't see the problem. I'm confused as to if asking for help with a package that's to big and heavy for me to carry is an issue. And besides, the distance from my car to the counter was seriously 15 steps AND I WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE STORE AND THE PARKING LOT! So I grabbed a cart and said this is ridiculous and amazed on how hard it is to help?! I went out to my car and as soon as I pushed the cart up against my car and slowly lowering the package she ran out and said, "OH FINE, don't hurt yourself!" In a very rude and demeaning manner. Seriously, "Joe" and the rest of the staff have always been pleasant. Even with the Pandemic, they are efficient and friendly. If our office did not use FedEx for shipping, I would never go into this place. The FedEx Kinko's staff at the California Ave. location are some of the laziest, dumbest, and non-customer service people I have ever encountered at any business that I have dealt with. The FedEx Kinko's located on South Virginia is not much better. The staff for this store seems a little smarter, but just as lazy, and also lacks customer service. Every time I have used this location the two women have been stuffing their mouths and the one guy seems out of it. You still have to draw their attention just to drop off a FedEx package that is ready to go. These are both signs of bad management. I would fire the managers immediately, hire competent mangers and let them clean house on the incompetent staff members. read more

Liz spent time making everything blend so nicely and was much more detail-oriented than I would have been. Mark spent time helping and was more than kind. Yay brand new Fedex Office. Right about at a midway point between the other two off/near Virginia. Probably seems unnecessary if you're driving ... biking or taking the bus it saves a lot of time though. So new it still smells like Construction ... yet somehow the computer keyboards are gross already. I know people have a lot of reasons (many legitimate) to find fault with Fedex Office but the services to the modern hobo are invaluable. Printing and scanning, checking email, laptop docking, you can even have packages held for pickup up to five days. Great for travelling when you need to bring a bunch of stuff but aren't driving and don't want to haul hell of bags. Ground shipping is pretty cheap (usually around a dollar a pound somewhere) and goes about 300-400 miles overnight if it's between cities. They also have a solid track record of not losing packages. 5* just for that, and this one is open 7 days (unlike the one on California). read more

Most of the time I can pre-pay online and leave on counter and leave. They scan it very quickly. It's at a great location. Literally THE WORST company to ship your items with. Items take up to a MONTH to ship and they change the delivery date after it says it was supposed to arrive. Also, they have a policy or discretionary rule where if a driver doesn't want to drop something off when a person isn't home they will skip your home all together and make you drive to their business to pick it up. On 5/21/14, the services I received were excellent, professional, quick, and friendly! In short, Thomas & Randal printed a poster for me for a professional conference under a tight deadline. From start to finish, they made it a quick and enjoyable process. I was in a bind to print a poster for a professional conference that I needed to depart for in less than 24 hours. I called to ask if they would be able to print it given the tight timeframe, and Thomas politely instructed me to come in ASAP, and reassured me that they would be able to print it either that night or early the next morning. Upon arrival, I received a very friendly greeting from Randal, the manager, who walked me through different print options for the poster as well as handouts. Even though I was a bit indecisive, he was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the process. He helped me pick out the best deal given my needs. Thomas was able to have everything finished within a couple hours, and called me in promptly to pick it up. The results were fantastic! I should also note that it came up in conversation with Randal that I had had some bad experiences at Kinko's years ago at their old location on California Ave., and I was very impressed by his genuine apologies and dedication to making sure that customers now have great experiences. I would definitely go here again and recommend this place. This experience was leaps and bounds beyond the service I experienced a few years ago! read more

Worst customer service in Reno. Employees are rude and slow. Saw customers treated like thieves, I then asked where to find card stock and was told they didn't have the size I wanted. So I asked if they had paper cutters and was pointed to a table. So I asked where the paper was and was told I had to go to the main counter by an employee that was too busy with inventory to help anyone. He could easily have said (in the beginning) no we don't have it in the size you need but we can help you cut a piece to the right size. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I then waited in line 15 minutes to purchase 1 piece of card stock before I walked out because the only other 2 employees were helping people with fedex that had come in after the people waiting at the counter.
