When it comes to setup, Cava is like the Mediterranean version of Chipotle. There's an assembly line of meats, vegetables, sides, abd sauces to choose from ass you build your own bowl, salad, or pita. My fav dish is the chicken pita and creamy feta dip. I'm also a fan of their frity teas and lemondades! A friend of mine suggested trying a kids meal and it's been the perfect portion size to cut down on over eating and it makes Cava an easy choice when I don't have time to take leftovers home. The Homewood location has a couple of tables outside so you can enjoy the weather. The inside dining area has been pretty clean outside of rush hours. Sometimes the pita chips are a bit greasy but I've just asked if they could be replaced with fresher ones and it was no problem

Flavor 10/10. Dips 10/10. went for the white sweet potato now that it's back and it was wayyyy undercooked. Massive cabbage that should have been cut up. Was cold when picked it up. Otherwise will come back, but needs some adjustment. Still give this 4/5 stars for an 11$ meal!

I was ready to give this place a glowing review. I loved the food. The portion size was great. I was really ready to make this place a staple. It was a hit. Sadly, we had a few issues, one of which was not getting our order correct - they gave us the spicy chicken, without telling us, and it was almost too much for me - and I love spice. So that should tell you something. The main issue though was that my wife and I ended up severe food poisoning. It hit us a few hours after our meal and we called the restaurant to let them know, as well as the health department. We never heard back from a manager. We may try them out again, but it's going to be a while after such a bad experience.

Alright y'all. It pains me (literally I'm in pain while I type this out) writing this review. I was sooooo looking forward to trying CAVA. I've heard so much about it from my northeastern friends and we've been talking about the location opening for weeks! And last night I got the opportunity to try it. I ordered online, but what you don't know until you visit, is that online orders are prepped in a separate assembly line from walk-in orders. Red flag: how fresh are those ingredients in the back area? I picked up our order (it was 10 minutes after the promised ready time), but I didn't care. I took our meals home to enjoy and experience CAVA together for the first time. Upon opening the bag at home, 20 mins away, I noticed that some items I requested for my order were missing. My husband also didn't get his dressing. No biggie. #growing pains The food was good and plentiful, but A few hours later, I woke up writhing in extreme pain from what I could only deduce was food poisoning. An hour later, my husband was in the same situation. No one else in our house was sick. I called the health department to report our symptoms and what we ate. The health department called me back a few hours later to check on us and to ensure they would be investigating. I called the restaurant and the manager never apologized and said she would let the manager who was over the shift last night know what happened. She was just passing the buck. No one has called us back from the restaurant. We are still sick and I would caution others from eating here until they figure out what made us so sick.

Day waS very nice and patient with me!

What can I say but good things to eat at Cava! I love eating clean(highly recommended by my doctor). When I go my daughters are with me and I have a seat while they alway select some delicious vegetables and chicken meat. I love their garlic sauce to put on top, and I especially love their drinks. My favorite drink is cucumber mint or black tea. Friendly staff and good vibes in every Cava we dined in for sure. I'm embarrassed that we wolfed our food down before taking pics.

The service is not good here. The protein choices always look sparse. I've tried it a few times given I'm local but I'm always disappointed.

That's a huge plus; the number of times I've seen referees having to pass on the side because they didn't have utensils! The entree was a chicken pita. It did have a few fresh onions, but I enjoyed them since I didn't have to be the one dragon breathing around the field all day. We did have a choice of roasted potatoes or basmati rice. The potatoes went much quicker than the rice; I had the potatoes and they were fantastic. There was also a tray of chocolate chip cookies provided. I don't think they were frash made; they looked similar to other restaurants generic chocolate chip cookies. They were a nice addition to the lunch, though. They also provided sweet and unsweet tea in gallon jugs.

They also brought a large side box of chocolate chip cookies that were individually wrapped. Everyone loved the wraps, though the fresh onions were a little rough on some of us. Others took heed and removed a couple so their afternoon running up and down the field wasn't filled with regret. The potatoes were a hit; wish I could get them again.

The seating inside is a bit limited, so it can feel crowded during busy hours, but I noticed that they do a lot of to-go orders, which makes sense for a place like this. It seems perfect for grabbing something quick and healthy. I ordered the kale salad, and it was really good. It tasted fresh and light, which is exactly what I wanted. Sometimes it's hard to find something filling without meat, but this salad definitely satisfied me. My friend ordered the vegan wrap, and we were impressed that you can substitute the wrap for a gluten-free option. She said it tasted just like a regular wrap, which is great for people with dietary restrictions who don't want to sacrifice flavor! I had a great experience at Kale Me Crazy! It is a solid choice if you're looking for fresh, healthy options in the Homewood area. I would definitely go back!

And add on olives. It might have been the peanut dressing, but it's certainly not over-dressed by any means (more like massaged in). It might have been the sweet, chewy dried cranberries (I refuse to say, "craisins.") I also had a mediocre vegan wrap which desperately needed seasoning. I had ordered it with olives and paid extra for the add-on, but they forgot to put them on. Honestly, if I had only ordered this, I wouldn't come back here again because this wrap was not only not good, it was fifteen dollars. It really needed something to give it flavor, even a little salt would have gone a long way. But, that salad. Just do it. Unless you have a peanut allergy.

Dinner also come with a salad and a rich aromatic broth to start with. Quite refreshing! Beef kabobs were good, but once we tried the lamb dishes, it paled in comparison... First all of the lamb was SO tender it was all falling off the bone! We did not need any extra seasoning, though if you run on the salty side you may need to request... Then as we were headed out talking to one of our hosts, come to find out the lamb is from a local farmer/rancher, which in this old/ex chefs mind took this to yet another level. I will absolutely be back again and am so mad that I waited so long to try it! Please treat yourself to the local gem!

I was really excited to try this place because of the good reviews but it was such a letdown…read more When we walked in, there were maybe two other customers. We were seated pretty quickly but waited about 30 minutes before the server came back to give us menus. He appeared to be the only person working so I tried to cut him some slack but it was another 20-30 minutes before we were even able to place our order. They brought out salad appetizers, which were essentially just fresh-cut lettuce with no dressing or flavor. Our food finally came out after about 45 minutes of waiting. I ordered the Beef Kebob and my husband got the Lamb Mandi. The beef itself was flavorful and tender, but there were only about 4-5 small pieces sitting on top of a huge portion of rice. The rice was bland and dry. The lamb mandi also lacked flavor, and the lamb was very dry and bland as well. Overall, it was a pretty underwhelming experience.
