The location is a great start but as soon as you walk inside you can have a good feel bc it is very clean and very comfortable and very nicely laid out in there. The server that placed my order and the one that brought it to my table were both very nice and helpful. They themselves were the right vibe inside to make you feel great. The Gyro was super delicious but I wasn't sure what to get for a side so I asked the order taker and she mentioned a few options told me this one was her favorite so I ordered it and it was super duper delicious.

I have been waiting to try this place, and finally stopped in for lunch on a sunny Saturday. At this restaurant, you order at the counter when entering the front doors and the food is brought to your table. Our table did not wait long for our meals, which were fresh and hot when served. I ordered the sampler platter that came with pita bread, tzaziki, hummus, cucumber-tomato salad, and dolmas. Everything on my plate was great, except for the dolmas (which I was trying for a first time anyway). The hummus and tzaziki are obviously homemade and very tasty. The cucumber-tomato salad was swimming in juice/dressing, but overall was still good. The pita bread was fresh and paired well with the dips. The dolmas were a chance I took that did not pay off unfortunately. I did not realize they were stuffed with a rice mixture, and tasted very minty and mushy. I would not order again, but that is just my preference. I cannot say if they were bad as I have no other comparison. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals and we all agreed that we would come back!

We walked right up the the cashier. No one was in line. Placed our order but the girl was very rude to us? Neither one of us knew her so we didn't understand why she was so rude. Then after waiting 10 mins for a side of orzo because that's all we ordered I asked her what's the hold up? She said your order has to be filled in the line. ? She was not doing anything just standing there. So after I said well isn't it ready? You just have to put it in a togo container? She just rolled her eyes and walked over and filled the cup halfway.. and gave it to me.. I was like I need a bag? This is a to go order. She went back and got a bag. Then I had to ask for a utensils and napkins because she literally just handed me a bag. Didn't open it or anything. So. The staff is just horrible. But 3 stars because the food was GREAT!

Great place to get a lot of food for cheap! Worth the mile walk from the eastern part of the UA campus where the food options are much more sparse. Had a chicken pesto pizza (made with pita bread) and it was very good and quite filling. The pesto was fresh and the cheese plentiful. It was a bit greasy but not a deal-breaker. Would stop here again.

We sat ourselves and was attended to relatively fast. The menu was a good lunch menu. Several sandwiches salads and burgers. Plus a few other items. We chose to get a pretzel to start and wife got the cbr salad which is a chopped salad with bacon cheese croutons and chicken. She got it fried. I opted for the da brees sandwich which is slow roasted roast beef. I also got my fries the Messi way which has cheese and bacon. Fire. I only wish there was some kind of au jus with the sandwich. I know others come with it but for some reason not this one. Would have made it even better. We were both very pleased with our orders as well as the pretzel. Best pretzel I've had in a long time. This was easily the best lunch we had during our trip here. Highly recommend.

But spring break week flipped the script in the best way possible. Tonight, my wife and I met up with some good friends for a pre-retirement dinner, and with the college crowd scattered to the beaches, downtown felt like it belonged to us "seasoned locals" again. No lines, no crowds--just a quick call ahead and we were seated within minutes. That alone felt like a win. We started things off with the fried green tomatoes--a true Southern delicacy and, let's be honest, acid reflux's favorite dance partner. Worth it? Absolutely. These were hot, crispy, and full of flavor. The kind of dish that would make Grandma nod in approval. No shortcuts, just done right. For the entrée, I went with the UBK Pasta--blackened chicken, sausage, and shrimp tossed with corkscrew pasta probably crafted in a cast iron skillet. It came out hot and packed with flavor, carrying just the right amount of spice to keep things interesting without overwhelming the dish. Exactly how I like it. My wife stuck with a proven winner: the shrimp & grits. She's had it before, and once again, it delivered. Consistency matters, and this dish continues to hit the mark every time. Now, not everything was quite as smooth. Our waitress wasn't exactly channeling that warm Southern hospitality you hope for. Let's just say she wasn't "Miss Dolly" serving smiles with a side of charm. The service leaned a bit on the impatient side--subtle (and not-so-subtle) hints that our time at the table was up, including clearing drinks before we were even finished. At one point I joked about going to the restroom but worried I might come back to find my chair gone. Still, when the food is this good, it carries the experience. Urban Bar & Kitchen continues to deliver where it matters most--on the plate. The atmosphere was relaxed thanks to spring break timing, the food was as strong as ever, and the company made it even better. As for the service... maybe she was just ready for her own spring break reunion. Happens to the best of us. Final takeaway: Go for the food--it's consistently excellent. And if you can catch a quieter night like this one, even better.

We were able to order right away and sit down. They were out of a couple of items we wanted, but that was no big deal. The atmosphere was a dive restaurant with Crimson Tide memorabilia galore. The food came out very quickly. The food was standard. There was no "wow factor" about it. It didn't taste bad, but it just seemed basic. The hash browns could have been crispier, but they seemed as if they were cooked on a surface that wasn't quite hot enough. You may be asking yourself, hey dude, why the 4 stars? Well, here is why. You cannot beat the price for the amount of food you can get here. The Crimson Tide memorabilia here can't be matched. It covers all sports! It is also right outside the stadium. If you are a Crimson Tide fan, then this is a do not miss for you!

If you've never had meat (or VEGGIES!) cooked on a BGE, it will change your life. This fact alone will bring me back to try other things. Before I get into the meal, my only real complaint was that they only had a soda machine and tea. I had brought my mother along, and she already had lunch and wanted just to sit and chat. As it was a very cold day she was gonna order a coffee and they don't offer anything hot! It's definitely an opportunity to expand here even if it was just so simple as putting a Keurig machine in the back. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It is served with grilled chicken in a grilled wrap and cheddar cheese. If there was a buffalo sauce, I didn't taste any. I was a little disappointed in the wrap. The flavor didn't really stand out as being cooked on the Big Green Egg. The cheese wasn't really melted, which can be a common problem with shredded cheddar cheese, but it also didn't really have the buffalo flavor that I was looking for in a buffalo chicken wrap (maybe it was a Toledo Ohio wrap I don't know just not spicy. ) It served with a side of ranch which I juiced up with some Cholula and that helped. I i'm not knocking the quality of the food because it was good. It just didn't live up to the expectations I had in my head based on the menu description. It also came with a side, which I chose the broccoli salad. This was nicely done with bacon, I believe some quinoa and the broccoli was chopped up nicely so you didn't have huge chunks. Also, it wasn't overly sauced so that would make it runny. Overall I give the property four out five stars. Also, the flavor of the whole meal was fine. Good size portion and good value for your money.
