To save a little extra money, the kid's pita meal is often plenty of food. You get a pita filled with protein of your choice, along with grains and a few toppings. As for me, I got a bowl with falafel, greens, cucumber, corn, feta cheese, and with red pepper and regular hummus to dip. This is my go-to order and it hasn't let me down yet. I'd also recommend getting the pita chips if you'd like; they're perfectly crunchy with addictive seasoning sprinkled on top. This location (downtown Birmingham) is clean and the workers are quick. My bestie and I visited here on our way to an event. I've been hooked ever since. I love the different healthy options available and that you can fully customize your experience. It would help to browse the menu before going so you don't hold up the line during busier times. I think in this day I opted for a veggie bowl. This past weekend I picked up dinner from Cava on 20th street in bham! Cava is one my favorite fast casual spots to visit. I prioritize a lot of things when it comes to food. Does the restaurant have whole fresh ingredients, what type of oils do they use to cook, and the customer service. Cava meets those expectations. I have never had a bad experience with ordering in-person or on the mobile app. The food is always excellent and nutritious. I don't feel bloated after eating. They also have a good selection of homemade beverages; my favorite is the cucumber mint. My go to order is the kid's meal, it comes with your choice of meat, a grain, and two toppings! All for about $7, drink included! As a college student affordability is priority, especially when it comes to late dinners. They also use biodegradable utensils and their takeout bags are recyclable. I have been to this location many times. It is conveniently located not far from campus and the food fills you up but does not make you feel icky after. I usually get a rice and spinach bowl with a lot a veggies and some hummus. When I am not feeling like eating any meats, the veggies still fill me up and is equally delicious. It is not too pricey to get a bowl, and the service is always great. I have never felt rushed by the employees, even when it is very busy. This location has indoor and outdoor seating which are both great to eat at. I prefer to eat outside when the weather is good, but the inside of the resturant is great and is not a bad option. You choose whether you want a wrap (burrito) or a bowl then add your protein, veggies, and all those yummy toppings! I chose to order the Lemon Chicken bowl. It was tough considering I wanted to try almost every bowl they offered here! I added on all my yummy toppings, most of which are free except for avocado and extra servings. It was so fresh! I also discovered how much I liked pickled lentils! It's a filling meal and was about $11. Not too shabby. Pita is free too, so make sure you ask for some! I love mediterranean food because it is very healthy, my order from cava was lettuce, rice, chicken, tzatziki sauce, cucumber, avocado and onions. It has carbs, proteins and vegetables in it, which makes the food a good balance. CAVA is one of the healthiest food spots to eat in the US. Tried Cava for the first time! The staff was very helpful. They answered all of my questions. There is one Chef Recipe vegetarian bowl, Lentil Avacado. Everything tastes fresh. The flavors mix well. If the ingredients in the chef recipes don't sound amazing to you, you can make your own bowl. Think Chipotle but Mediterranean. You can also build a pita instead of a bowl. They pair with the bowl so well. Every time I go, even if there is a line, the workers always move fast and get you in and out. If you want to save a little money, you can always get the kid's pita meal as well. I sometimes get that if I am trying to keep my calories on the meal low. I have been trying to get more vegetables in my diet, which can be tough on days that I am super busy and do not have time to cook. CAVA, offers a solution to that. On my recent stop at CAVA, I got a brown rice and lentil grain bowl with tatziki, harissa, chicken, tons of veggies, and yogurt dill sauce. My favorite thing was that I could ask for extra vegetables at no extra charge. And the bowl was also so large that it lasted for 2 meals. It's nice that fast casual spots like CAVA make healthy eating super convenient! My only complaint is that bowls can be really salty, but the veggies and all the fiber kind of balance it out in my opinion. The location of this CAVA location is also very convenient, as it is very close to a number of apartment complexes and UAB facilities. I ordered cava for dinner over the weekend and I would get it over and over again! I placed an online order through their app and it was so easy and fast and was very organized! They had several pick up times you could choose from and all the nearby locations. I chose take-out and they made sure I had silverware, napkins and etc. It was a very bright environment with music playing and their drink section was amazing with different flavors and types. I got a build your own bowl with super greens as a base and I did have a little of the wild brown rice added. The hot and spicy dip was delicious. I ordered the vegan option of the falafel crunch bowl and a blueberry lavender lemonade. The meal was very good and the lemonade is one of my new favorites! The only thing I feel like could be improved is more falafel in the bowl, but I understand this differs from location to location. I will definitely repeat this order in the near future. Online ordered at 5pm ish. Went to puck up order scheduled for 6:30. Didn't leave until 7:15p Everyone was pleasant and working hard just at a very slow and chill pace for the amount of ppl in line. CAVA got me in a chokehold! I eat here every week & get the same Harissa bowl.. I've tried other bowls but the Harissa is consistently good every time & tops everything for me. So I was at this location yesterday. The two girls on the front line really needed an adjustment in their mood. I was trying to tell the girl what I wanted on my bowl and I had to stop her bc she didn't ask what dips I wanted and seemed annoyed that I had a choice. I also asked for tomatoes which she used the kitchen spoon they have as scooters and put 2 in my bowl. I asked for me and got 2 more. Which honestly was only 2 whole grape tomatoes as they were halved. Then the next girl while her mood was slightly better she was annoyed that I wanted more taziki sauce on the side. I have usually always ordered online and picked up. But I don't think I will be eating there again. The portions are ridiculously small for the $20 I paid.
