This location is very unprofessional. This was my first time at this location as I just recently moved to the area. Not one employee serviced me with any kind of professionalism...even the manager Zach. I ordered my typical Grains bowl with half honey chicken half braised lamb. When i asked if there was any more lettuce the lady put the last bit of scraps on my bowl and looked at me. I asked if it were more and she walked off and put more lettuce on the bowl. This should've told me to cancel my order but I proceeded and told her to put a little ceaser and a little garlic dressing on it. She put way more than a little on both causing the bowl to be drenched in dressing which has now ruined my bowl. When i get to the register, the lady charged me and I just paid without thinking "this seems more than what I typically pay". I asked for the receipt and left and when i got to my car I looked at the receipt and saw that i was over charged for the protein. I came back inside and spoke to Zach the manager. I mentioned to him my experience and he didn't apologize for the poor service, offer my anything to rectify the situation (not that i was looking for anything) or find a way to help with this inconvenience. He just told me to reach out to CAVA support to get this resolved. I honestly really like Cava but after this experience I won't be back. It has really gone downhill. Chicken is basically so dry + tough it's inedible. Toppings are ridiculous + hardly anything. Not worth the $12 for a bowl. I loved this place + the flavors but I don't think I'll be coming here anymore - it's a waste of $. We did takeout so I don't know if it was clean inside. My first time coming to eat here. I tried it out since I received a birthday reward. My go to Mediterranean is Taziki's. I have heard the food is good, healthy and fresh. However, when I came I received fresh good food but the line was long. I placed a to go order on the app. It stated my food would be ready at 12:30. I arrived and was behind other customers waiting for their to go order as well. I don't mind food being prepared upon my arrival but it would kind to let customers know on the app. The walk-in line was moving faster than I came for mobile orders. I get truly annoyed at the inconsistency of this location. My ratings have changed from 3 to 5 and today I rating a 2. It's all over the place, because they're all over the place. I come here 3-4xs a month. So I'm not changing the rating frequently, but I really wish it could be consistent. It may be based on the employees' efforts, management, who knows. Either away, do better I'm not a fan of my bowl being made sloppy. Take your time and give me the regular portion of the toppings that I ask for. I wouldn't keep asking for more if you started with the normal portion. I then asked for a double portion and boy told me he couldn't. I told him to charge me extra, winch he said there wasn't a way to up charge me in the system. Of course there isn't, because the toppings are unlimited so I was being sarcastic. Another issue today is that they don't take the time to refill the items that were out. Seems like a simple task, if you see it's low or out just to and replace it. This boy spent time trying to scrape 3 pickles out of the container. I had to tell him to go get extra because we all wanted them. There were several items that were out. Mind you, there's two people up front dealing with customer orders and 4-5 people in the back. They may have been on break, not started their shift or maybe something else. When you have a line that's to the door, it looks like you just have employees standing wound doing absolutely nothing when you're backed up. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to fix 3 bowls. There were only 3 people in front of us. That's how disorganized it was today. So why keep coming? I like the food. I came in on a busy day, and i understand what Cava traditionally has 3 staff on the front line. I waited about 10-15 minutes to order. Once I got to the middle staff who added the meat and veggies to my bowl, she had the nastiest attitude I've ever experienced at Cava. She threw my bowl around, rolled her eyes, and I'm not sure where the attitude came from. Definitely won't be back. read more

I think alot of the flavors competed with one another in the bowl that I had and the quality/taste couldn't quite meet that of the cost. Two employees behind the counter weren't that friendly or helpful. For a first-timer customer, it would've been nice if they'd walked me through their menu and options. We arrived at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The food is great an hour later when you actually get to eat but the line is super long , they are super slow unfortunately, customers seems to be very patient but they need a manager that knows what they're doing. There's 7 people behind the counter and in the kitchen but they're out of chicken and most common items and drinks on a Sunday at lunch. The tables are dirty so you have to clean them yourself before you sit down and the employees are too backed up to be able to worry about it. I am writing this review in hopes that someone in management will read it and address the opportunities because we love the food but if it continues like this we'll pass and go somewhere else. read more

John was professional and helpful as soon as I arrived. I placed my order which he created exactly to my liking and practiced good hygiene. Josh however (returned from his break where he was eating, touching his mouth and face, and never washed his hands). This became particularly concerning when he attempted to touch my exposed food while also working the register. The entire staff today appeared very young and few seemed informed on safe food handling practices required by the state of Georgia. It would seem they think gloves are invisible shields negating the need to wash hands. Now, I know this is Cava, and not some high end restaurant, but basic hygiene practices we learn in primary school shouldn't be a difficult ask. John did however have to do a lot of walking back and forth because the front bar seemed sparse on ingredients while the young ladies in the back seemed busy chitchatting with what looked like a very focused conversation and not focused on supporting the front. John never called for help, he just proceeded to do everything himself with 4 other team members visibly nearby. This is a very different experience than what my family and I had 2 days ago. The experience 2 days ago was a 5/5 awesome and mainly why I came back today (a 30 minute drive out of my way) only to leave feeling disappointed. read more

We are fans of Cava. Our experience at this location today was terrible. It was 2pm on a Saturday and there were no less than 7 employees visible in the store. They had no falafel and over the course of our dine in experience had to halt the entire line repeatedly to ask for and replenish items because they waited until their supplies were empty. No unsweet iced tea in the store. The tables in the store were filthy and trash cans overflowing. Before departing the store I attempted to use the restroom. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent visit. The cleanliness standards were unacceptable. I noticed that food was being placed into containers that had spills and residue around them, and it was really off-putting. I ordered fresh pita chips they tasted like the refried them and were overly salty, and overall, I felt like I wasted my money ($30) this visit. My daughter was with me so I continued to order and even with fresh chicken and hummus that came out... how they put it back in the container... gross. This is how customers get food Poisoning. To make matters worse, when I asked for pita chips initially the staff member was about to hand me a bag that had just been sitting out by the register. Who would want that???The whole experience left me feeling like I wasted my money, and I really hope management takes cleanliness and customer service more seriously in the future. Last night was my first and last time visiting this restaurant. My wife got a bowl and I opted for a wrap. Going for a "gyro-like" sandwich I asked for the braised lamb and was told they were out. The server stirred the empty container to prove his point. Ok, I'll have the lamb meatballs. Sorry, we're out of meatballs too, I was told, while he stirred another empty container. I ended up with a wet, sour-tasting composition of chicken, flavored hummus and old lettuce. Went to fill my cup and saw that ALL the "fresh" teas and specialty beverages were completely dry. The time of day was 6:30. They must have been dry for hours and stayed dry for probably the remainder of the dinner service. A compete waste of time, money and expectations. read more

Went to try Vegreen Noodle not realizing they were closed on Mondays. Decided to try Cava for the first time instead. The biggest complaint I see is on service. The two people working the line were nice enough but I could see how it could be slow. Luckily it wasn't too busy but it did take a bit. The food was good though although it's a bit pricey for what you get. I did a bowl with a bottled water and it was over $14. That's fine but their bowl size isn't all that big. You order at the front while they assemble what you want so don't go in there expecting full service. That's fine because Chipotle and Halal Guys and other similar places are the same. I'm sure I'll go back. The price and portion is what made me not give it five stars. I just hope it's not too busy again because I'm sure it would take a lot longer. read more

Look up "meh" in the dictionary and that's essentially my experience here. Let me explain... When we first walked in, they weren't busy, but also didn't really acknowledge us. As we approached the counter, the lady behind it just stared. No hi, how can I help, what do you want, !&$?& you or anything. This was our first time so we informed her and she said ok. Well we placed an order for a Lamb Meatball Pita and a Lemon Chicken bowl. Off she went. Quickly built the bowl and passed it on and then the pita. The next lady gave us the same treatment. Just assembled the food and off to the register. Thanks. To be fair, they weren't rude, but certainly not friendly. Just indifferent I guess. As for the food, the bowl was good. Lots of goodies and good flavor. Everything seemed fresh. Oh the pita. It had good flavor, but was essentially empty. Maybe 4 meatballs and the sauce was everywhere! Came here because my wife was excited about trying this place and beings that we have been vegans for a lil over a year now, it's good to have a place that has vegan offerings. I must say that everything looks better in the picture and nothing like what you get in person. 1st thing was getting the greens in the bowl and these people may be used to serving children for school lunch. The portions were minuscule and I had to ask for enough greens in my bowl. Honestly it was offensive and I expected much more. As I began adding ingredients my anger intensified with the lack of putting a decent/respectful amount of food. I mean, I'm not a pack mule but the portion they were giving me and my wife was the tincywincy bit we feed our 5 yr old daughter. Eventually I became upset over the lack of effort they put in to making my bowl along with my wife's and I was ready to just pay and leave. But never again. The juice just ain't worth the squeeze. The falafel were tasty and the assortment of ingredients came together well but they just don't give you enough so this place is a pass for me. I'm an adult I have a very healthy bmi so it's not as though I'm a glut but cmon it's ridiculous these kids are using tweezers to grab your food. As I said tasty but never again. read more

I've been going to cava for years, before it even came to Georgia. They are definitely not as good here in the south than what I'm used to in VA. However this Buford location is the WORST. My husband picked up my food today. And called me immediately bc it was nearly empty compared to usual. He even went to talk to the girl behind the counter asking if the order was correct bc it doesn't look like normal. Her answer was my manager is the one making the bowls right now so they're very accurate. I get the same order every single time. And this was nearly 1/4 the amount of food I normally get. I will not be returning to this location. At least not for order pickup because apparently they will not give you the correct amount of food.
