Harissa Avacado Chicken bowl with brown rice and a trio of fresh greens
    Carolyn W.

The Harrissa Avacado Chicken bowl (with choice of brown rice and I modify using trio of fresh greens including arugula and spinach) is DIVINE!! I love IRIS! Whatever you pay her, she deserves more$ she's a perfect blend of fast efficient and friendly service!! I love treating myself to their Maine Root Mecican diet cola (I miss that Torchy Tacos took it away). Highly recommend and although it's not "cheap" I feel eating fresh healthy food is worth jt!

One thing this place could use, is better organization. When I showed up to pick up my order, it took three different people greeting me, asking whose name is on the order, before I got my order. The app also told me my order would be ready at 6:30pm, I got there at 6:30 and then about a minute after I spoke to the first person I received a text message that it would be ready at 6:38pm. I did receive the food sooner than 6:38 though. The food was good quality.

Tried Cava for the first time this year at the other location in cedar park and it was delicious. I've had it 4-5 times now and what I will say is they need to do better with their chicken. It's the same reason I don't go to chipotle. There are often huge chewy chunks of chicken that are simply unappetizing. I usually eat one piece and toss the rest. I'm too scared to try any other protein. My usual bowl is: Half saffron rice half spinach Chicken (harissa taste better) 2 crazy feta 1 tzatziki Corn Tomato and cucumber Double persian cucumbers Double crumbled feta Double pita crisps Skhug Garlic Their pita chips are so salty and delicious in the best way. Taste great with their crazy feta or when dipped in the skhug. The bowls are filling. If they could step up the protein they would be winning and worth the price.

Not good. I paid $17 and it was extrmely gamy like old meat.

It was $17 of what tasted like an expired dish. The mear was super gamy. Tasted like how cows smell.

Untouched bowl I revived from cava. Only half full.

Just opened my bowl we ordered for pickup. And its half full. Mind you this bowl is the chicken and rice bowl that's like $10+. I've gotten the same from other locations and have received a bowl that was actually full.

The customer service is always amazing across all the employees, but especially the nice older guy. I have ordered their lamb gyros, which are always on point with huge servings. One of the few meals I actually like uncooked tomatoes in. The tzatziki sauce is so perky, it compliments the seasoning of the extremely flavorful and tender lamb perfectly. The Gyro Plate was one of the first "bigger" meals that I got. It tasted heavenly and was worth the extra price from the gyro wrap. It was my first experience with their hummus, which is some of the best I've ever had. I brought some home to my family because they sell tubs of hummus to go (for a similar price to what you could get at HEB, actually, and much better) and they ate it all within minutes. This has been a regular thing too. During lent I would order a lentil soup, pita, and falafel side that totaled at just under $6. This is an incredible price for how good it is. The falafels are genuinely the best falafels I have ever tried, crispy (but not hard) on the outside, and fluffy (not soggy) on the inside. Flavor was amazing. Just last week I ordered a lamb kebab plate. Folks, be prepared if you order this. This meal is HUGE. The lamb was heavenly, and I was really happy that they grilled the kebabs with some onions and peppers, really added flavor. The kebabs are made to order, so they're always fresh. Its worth the wait fellas. Come back and give this one a try if you're not rushed. Can I also mention they gave me a free soda on this one? What a nice restaurant! They're always quick except for kebabs (but give 'em the grace because its fresh cooking). 10/10 restaurant, give it a shot!

I'd been wanting to check this place out for quite some time. There's another location in Round…read moreRock, but many reviewers said the original spot is much better, so we decided to start with the OG location. Parking is plentiful right in front of the restaurant. We came by on a Saturday around 1 PM, worried it might be packed, but it was actually pretty quiet. You can sit anywhere you like, grab a plate, and pay when you're done. The space is large and open, with three full rows of food and drinks plus a dedicated station for fruit and desserts. Everything was fresh, not overly salty, and there were plenty of options. My favorites were the hummus with eggplant (so flavorful with great texture), the salad and cucumber salad (fresh and refreshing), the dolma (perfectly done), gyro (tender and tasty), baked cauliflower (so good), fried chicken (juicy, crispy, and not salty), falafel (extra crunchy), and the lentil soup (simple but delicious). And don't miss their coffee at the checkout--it has a hint of warm spice and is the perfect finish after a meal. Surprisingly, I ended up loving the vegetable dishes even more than the meats. Overall, yes, $26 per person is on the higher side (what doesn't cost these days, right?!), but it's a great spot to try a variety of Mediterranean dishes that are fresh, simply seasoned, and let the ingredients shine--perfect whether you're new to the cuisine or just want a bit of everything.

Thanksgiving came around and we had zero desire to cook or clean. Our "plan" (and I use that word…read moreloosely) was Golden Corral. We figured if we got there early, we'd beat the crowd. Cute of us, honestly. We pulled up and that parking lot looked like Beyoncé was performing. Cars everywhere: on the grass, on the curbs, people creating their own imaginary parking spaces. People circling like it was Black Friday. Absolutely not. We left with no backup plan and even less hope. Pulled up Yelp and I remembered that Dimassi's buffet had been on my radar for months, but was it open? Called them up and CHA-CHING!!! Money! They were open, guys. That phone call felt like hitting the lottery. Thanksgiving was saved. We arrived and Dimassi's was calm, clean, and the buffet bar was fully stocked with hot food fresh out of the kitchen. They had your Mediterranean favorites: dips, salads, gyro meat, dolma, chicken kabobs, saffron rice, the good garlicky toum, warm potatoes, fresh pita, everything. They even prepared a turkey for patrons who wanted some. Wow. They understood the assignment. Now a couple things could be tweaked. I like my baba ganoush served warm...and maybe they could have had some lamb options? But, honestly? For a buffet on Thanksgiving at $23 a person ($9 for the 3 yr old with us), they delivered HARD. Dimassi's didn't just feed us...they rescued us from the Golden Corral Hunger Games. Thank you for being open. Thank you for coming through in the clutch. You saved Thanksgiving.
