Came in on Halloween for lunch to go (loved the costumes from the employees) and was immediately welcomed and how I could be served. I ordered the Tex-Mex bowl as it comes and the enjoyed the flavor. I do wish there was a bit more of each item I felt I had maybe 6 spinach leaves total and something I'll likely request next time. That said, I enjoyed my food. I got dragged into Pita Fusion, and let me tell you--it was less "fusion" and more "fizzle." This place is basically a Subway wearing a pita as a disguise, and not even a convincing one. From the jump, the ingredients looked sad. Like, "we gave up this morning" sad. Limp lettuce, flavorless meat, veggies that tasted like they'd been emotionally checked out for days. The only thing "fresh" was my regret. Thankfully, I didn't order anything myself--just sampled a few bites off a friend's plate (they're still recovering emotionally). Bland. Stale. Completely void of flavor. It's like someone tried to make Mediterranean food after reading about it once on a crumbled napkin. I went home, threw together some leftovers, added actual spices, and boom--better in 5 minutes than whatever was going on at Pita Fusion. Honestly? This isn't fusion. It's confusion. So much food! The selections were excellent , the protein choices and the veggie options, plus the pita was so soft. The employees were friendly and patient with us since I had never been here before and I couldn't decide what to get. I was very pleased for my first time. It gave me a similar experience to a Subway, Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's or Firehouse Subs but with much healthier options. It also seemed to me that the ingredients are fresher. Some of the sub shops advertise the fresh sliced deli meats but I have literally only seen Jimmy John's do it every time I order. The service was amazingly quick and the young ppl behind the counter were very pleasant. There was only one other person there at the time but I would think this place would be slammed! A favorite lunch spot for me! I usually do the salad and add falafel which is so good, or chicken. Lots of flavor, great sauces and I love that you can choose the veggies. We were a group of four. All but one of us had been to Pita Fusion before. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches, rice bowls and salads. The pita bread seems like it could be freshly made as it has a pocket for all the fillings and a nice overlap to make the perfect wrap. Believe me they do have a wide variety of protein options. Including Portabella mushrooms, and Tofu and freshly made Falafel. If you are vegetarian, they will even clean off the grill before putting your protein on it so that it is not tainted by any of the other proteins that they have been cooking on it. . Also there are plenty of meat-based protein options as well, turkey, lamb, and beef, beef steak, salami's-more cheeses than you can shake a stick at including feta, of course. Since we had been here, they have added Rice Bowl's, where you can get your favorite proteins and toppings on rice. I had a salad this time with gyro toppings. It was very Greek and delicious. I did feel that it was a little bit skimpy for the cost, BUT It could be that I was just extra hungry that evening. There are a variety of chips available as well as huge cookies! They have a soft drink station, and you can obtain ice water as well. So why not five stars? It was so cold in there -I was uncomfortable the entire meal. I swear it could have snowed........ if there had been available precipitation !!! Regardless, at this Round Rock location (when you go check them out) be sure to bring a sweater or a jacket so that you can be comfortable while you're eating. I like the option to do bowls since they're gluten free. They have sauce options that are also lactose free. They can be inconsistent with portion sizes on protein. I have also gone in a little later in the evening, and the staff members were bothered I was there close to closing time. You truly cannot go wrong with lunch from Pita Fusion. I used to work around the area and everyone kept saying you have to go to Pita Fusion. After going I understood why. They are about fast service and quality ingredients. They are really great for catering as well. I think what makes them stand out more is there variety of sauces. You really can't go wrong with whatever sauce but I recommend you get the Jalapeño ranch. It's dangerous how good it is. My go to order is the Steve Kneivel. Grilled chicken, falafel and grilled jalapeños with a variety of veggies. It's really good and filling. Again with the jalapeño ranch it really just makes a great pita sandwich. If you are looking for a low carb option you can get everything in a salad form! Only reason I took a star away, when I checked in on Yelp I got an offer pop up for a $1 off pita or salad. The cashier looked at me like I was kind of crazy and didn't leverage the deal. But overall recommend Pita Fusion! read more

This place is the pita version of Subway. Pick your base and meat, then fill it with unlimited toppings and sauces. Giving 3 stars because the pita and toppings were pretty average. They didn't have special toppings or marinated veggies. The sauces were pretty good though, especially the spicy one. Not sure if the pita was worth $12 though. read more

Oh my god, what a meal! This place is amazing! Fast, healthy, and delicious! The concept is similar to Subway where you can build your own. I think there are pre-set options as well but I would definitely recommend doing their build your own. You can choose from pita or salad. I choose the pita option with gyro. Then you choose between white or wheat bread. From there, pick whatever toppings you want to include in it and finally at the end, you top it off with whatever sauce you want. You can choose more than one sauce as well. The portion is pretty big as well. They definitely don't skimp out. I haven't been this blown away by a meal in so long. I would definitely come back here again. This will probably be my new go-to Mediterranean place from now on. read more

I have been going to Pita Fusion for many many years! The people there are pretty cool . I am always met with welcoming smiles and everyone there is hustling. My go-to is Italian Pita without ham, jalapeño chips and an Arnold Palmer (yum) and I always always have to pick up some of their fresh diciois cookies for the family. I'm giving this business a break with a 4* due to the tastiness of the food, but the atmosphere and cleanliness need work. I arrived pre-dinner time, and the only indication that it wasn't an abandoned business was that the neon "OPEN" sign was on. Due to Covid, they are take-out and delivery only, so all of the tables and chairs are pushed up against the front windows, and the interior is painted a dark color, so the small interior is cave-like. The floors weren't trashy, per se, but they needed sweeping. Not a welcoming first impression. They do, however, have some sidewalk table and chairs where you can eat outside of the gloom. That said, the staff (2 young guys) were very friendly and helpful, and the pita I got (the gyro) was tasty (and also huge!). They have a wide variety of veggies and spreads, and you can add as many as you wish a la Subway (but of higher quality than said chain). My gyro meat was not thinly shaved as I'm used to, but looked more like fajita meat, but was blessedly tender and very flavorful. I got a ton of additions so my pita was hugely fat, lol, but all the flavor was there. You may choose the same ingredients towards a salad instead of a pita, and they had fresh, lively baby spinach and romaine awaiting. When you go, make sure and do a Yelp Check-in for a free cookie (chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, or brownie), soda (fountain or bottled), or chips (Mrs. Vickers and Frito Lay).
