Easy parking in the lot. I found this place on Happy Cow and it was a convenient location with plenty of parking. I guess it's a chain but I had never heard of it before. It was like chitpotle for Mediterranean food. I had a bowl with the black lentils and did half and half with the felafel and veggies. It was delicious. The dining area was busy but not crowded. They seem a tad bit understaffed as my table was dirty, but that seems to be the norm these days. Or maybe they were just swamped. I did not have to wait in line long. Stopped by this CAVA in Nashville for a quick dinner and was impressed by how fast and efficient the line moved -- even during the dinner rush. The staff kept things moving smoothly, and everything looked clean and fresh. The menu was a bit limited, and it seemed like 99% of folks were doing bowls, but I went for the shawarma pita instead. Flavor-wise -- excellent! The ingredients were fresh, vibrant, and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the seasoning on the chicken. That said, there was one hiccup. It looked like the staff member making my order was reading the steps off a card, which is totally fine -- everyone learns somewhere! But maybe it wasn't written on the card to drain the onions before adding them, because by the time I got back to my hotel (a 3-minute walk), the entire paper wrap was soaked. The vinegar and sauce mix had completely drenched the pita, making it nearly impossible to eat without a fork. So overall -- great taste, great ingredients, friendly service, but maybe a little more attention to prep details (especially draining the toppings) would take this from good to great. I could eat cava every day and not get tired of it. It's just one of those things. I don't really understand. The thing is I do order very regularly and my order is always spot on and consistent. I know exactly what I'm gonna get every time I order and I think that is crucial. The staff is kind and this spot is usually busy, thankfully there is plenty of outdoor seating as it gets very loud inside. I love being able to hit my macronutrients here - usually go for 1/2 lentils and 1/2 greens to bulk up on fiber with grilled chicken and all the desired veggies, I love the red pepper hummus and eggplant dips with the yogurt fill dressing! The food is delicious - it has a lot of healthy options and the service is friendly, though the ambiance is a bit chaotic because of how many people want to eat here (which is a good thing, in a way). However, recently they have been giving almost half of the portion of food as before. Everything I say below stands. Great location. Great options. Great dressings you can buy by the bottle. However, since I've started eating here 4 months ago, I've been back at least 15 times for lunch. Unfortunately it's rather disappointing. The last 4 times, I've received giant uncooked potatoes in my salad that I ultimately have to throw away as inedible. I keep ordering as I think 'they messed up this time' but it's 4 times now. Over it. Also my spinach the last few times is a little wet/slimy/old/expired looking. Had to spit out in trash can. Not sure what's happening to this location lately, but I'm not loving it anymore. We love Cava but things are off with the location. The portions here aren't correct. The rice doesn't even cover the bottom of the bowl and the toppings are half scoops at best. When you're paying $15 for a bowl- it should be consistent with other Cava locations. I've started going to the one on 21st ave because they haven't shrunk their bowls. Downtowns location also still serves the standard sizes. I really hope this Cava circle back to the usual standards of Cava! read more
