Stayed here in one of the covered wagon. I thought it would be hot but each wagon a ductless mini split and it worked quite well. The view of rolling hills made me think I was truly living in a covered wagon. The bathroom house was literally right across from the covered wagons so getting up in the night to use the bathroom wasn't so horrible. The pool was ok, seemed a little greener than blue and the water was so warm from the heat that it was more like bath water but still refreshing. Overall a great stay here!

With being a KOA worker I'm a bit disappointed with this place. When we first got here the site had alot of standing water at the water supply. I though it was from the previous Camper. Once I hooked up and turned it on I saw that it was the valve. I went to the office told the young girls, she said she would tell maintenance. Well nobody came so 3 days later I went back and talked to an older lady....had a guy out in under an hour and fixed it. The trash at the Pavillion next to the playground was full for our first 4 days here and the smoker/grill at the playground is rusted out and way past being able to be used. NONE of the pull through 50 Amp sites are level, make sure you have plenty of lego or wood for leveling. The whole park is on the side of the hill so you get a good view of the surrounding from any spot. The sites are in a step pattern separated by the roads. We were impressed with the bathrooms, they are updated, big and clean. There's a big play area for the kids which they liked but the favorite part (jump pillow) had a hole in it and isn't working. The girls like to feed all the animals we come across so seeing 3 horses at the barn and ducks at the pond were great. We didn't use the laundry room but it was big and nice.

We booked a stay in the wagons and i have to say, i was weary. I heard covered wagons and saw some reviews of the camp site and i wasn't very excited BUT we arrived and went into the wagon... omg. It was so nice. Clean, a ton of space, a/c and heat, tons of outlets, microwave/ kurig/ fridge. Bathroom was across a road but also very new and private. I would highly recommend this stay

We love it here! Always a great time with great staff. The covered wagons are super cool to stay in.

Stayed here on my husbands birthday weekend and really enjoyed the covered wagon, but man this camp ground is wayyy too close to the loud interstate. Thank God we had our sound machine with us or it would've been a rough night sleeping. The wagon was a neat experience but there were mozzarellas sticks left in the microwave from the previous campers and a drink laid over on its side in the freezer....... Not to mention the spider webs on all of the light fixtures. Highly disappointed in the location and cleaning done.

This is a nice campground! We didn't see the deer, but a family of ducks stayed near our cabin. The deluxe cabins are cute, perfect for a small family. I was concerned about the heat and if air would circulate well. We brought two fans from home and that helped keep it cool. There were some rotting spots of wood in the cabin and carpenter ants. The door had a peg on it that my arm kept running into so that was frustrating. The door to the bedroom was missing it's latch so it wouldn't stay shut. The playground seemed well kept. Mini golf and pool were aged, but again well kept. I could not compliment the staff more, they were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Spots are weirdly placed. Staff was not super friendly. Amenities for kids were awesome! My kids loved the jump pad and playground.

Not everyone uses them unfortunately. They keep the entire park mowed and it's been kept up well. The dog fountains are super awesome to have. We brought his own water dish just because we've dealt with kennel cough a few months back and are worried he will catch it again. Our boy was very distracted by the people mowing so he wound up laying under a tree. The shade is very helpful for a day like today. There's 2 benches to sit on in the small dog area and 3 for the large dog area. There's a play area for kids and there's a walking trail that's paved that goes around the entire park. The signs to the dog park are pretty non existent tho. You'll find it, just not right away. It's in the back corner of the park. The sign that says Meadowbark points to the right and makes you think the pasture gated behind the park is where you are supposed to go lol, but it's to the left and past the bridge and past the walking trail. I don't know why that sign is there. The sign by the road is small as well. We passed it and had to turn around the first time here. This main park is Meadowbrook Park. We would come back again if we're ever this way again. Overall 8/10.

After an unusually cold winter, we recently had a day warm enough day to return to Bernheim, and we chose a shorter trail due to time constraints. We hiked the Knob Top Trail and really enjoyed the peacefulness on the trail (we saw no other people on this trail today). The Knob Top is not one of the more popular trails, but we really enjoyed it. It is rated by Bernheim as "Difficult," but I would say it is moderate. It can be hiked as an in and out (this is what we chose to do) or as a connector between "Two Ponds Loop' and "Lake Nevin Loop." It is a short trail, only 0.5 mi in and 0.5 miles out. The terrain is packed dirt, and as expected, included tree roots, rocks, mounds, ruts, and other obstacles. The hike is a gradual incline to the top (Inspiration Knob) where there is a pretty, green, decommissioned water tank. This was a perfect, short hike to ease into hiking season! Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. Photos added to my original review of Bernheim Forest.
