Not happy. Website said open, drove all the way out there and the gate was closed. Tried to call and no answer.

They have many varietals and the quality is top notch for all, plus priced exceptionally well. A tasting is a remarkably inexpensive $10, comped if you buy a bottle. It's well worth the price. The property is owned and operated by a group of Trappist Cistercian monks. There's a lot of information to read about them and the history on placards on the property. The property is fascinating in itself and they also have a centuries old portion of a abbey from Spain reconstructed on the property. It was purchased by William Randolph Hearst and the stone blocks stored in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco for decades. They were donated to the monks here with the understanding it be recreated on the site. It has been, and magnificent. The wine tasting is very informative and the knowledgeable staff will walk through each selection. This may be a bit far afield but well worth the trip.

This one I've been wanting for visit for many years due to its ties to Sierra Nevada Brewing nearby and also the story of the abbey stores from Europe. Mix that with the original owners of the areas, murder, and ghost stories in Hawaii, it makes for a fascinating visit! I'll spare the long history to be enjoyed on your visit. This entire region is fruit orchards and beautiful fields. New Clairvaux sits as part of a vineyard that was much larger long ago. The current vineyard is easy to get to with clearly marked signs and plenty of parking. Inside the barn you'll find the wine shop and gift shops, which you can also do tours and tastings. It's also an event space. The monastery is nearby down a shaded path, but visiting is restricted. The church is also nearby, which incorporates stones from an ancient abbey in Europe that themselves took an amazing and long journey to and up here. The gardens and vines are worth walking through, it's a beautiful area. We all decided to do the basic tasting tour where they share the history and stories while you taste. If you're a wine or history buff, this one is worth visiting.

Upon arrival we were offered a sample of their sangria which is made fresh every Saturday morning, which was so good and fresh tasting. (Spoiler alert, I left with a bottle). The service there was excellent, the gentleman that helped us was incredibly professional. Their entire facility is very cute, lots of spaces to lounge, including an upstairs which was a little warm until the A/C kicked on. A fan upstairs in the height of summer would've really elevated the space. The views from the second floor were incredible, very picturesque, along with the view from their stairwell. I'm excited to revisit in the fall time when it's not so hot outside. They had a lot of cute, fun, card games, puzzles, and other things to do. Lots of cozy nooks to sit in, couches, bar tops, lounger chairs, etc. which truly felt like the inviting space I have created in my own home. I am writing this review as I sit on my couch and enjoy a chilled glass of sangria and I encourage you to visit Odyssey at the very least, for their sangria. I will be back in the fall!

The service isn't too notch like some of the other wineries in the area (don't say hi when you walk in, you kind of have to wonder to figure out where to go/find someone to speak with). This is a very large property so you can sit in multiple places inside (upstairs and downstairs) and then outside in a few areas as well. We didn't try any of their foods but they did mention they have cheese and meats from local and non-local farms - I think Santa Rosa area? Overall it was nice but I wish the service was a little bit better and more welcoming.

Visited November 9th..see my receipt…read more First of all the warm and gracious owners allowed me in even though they were setting up for an event! It has a romantic vibe for wedding or special event! This winery is located off Ward Road in Oroville. It's close to town yet you feel you are in the Country! I think they have about 26 acres with a pond and make some delicious wines...including cabs...pinots..and sangiovose. They have a tasting room that is welcoming along with a larger area for events. They also sell some swag. I bought the Cabernet Sauvignon and the owner was so kind he gave me some delicious mandarins they grow on the property ! So juicy! I love the bridge and the cozy feel to the place. Family run! Although they don't have food or a wine club at this moment it is a great place to have a picnic with some exceptional places to enjoy the scenery! It was a Great experience with good wines and family atmosphere ( love the cute dogs!). Husband and wife owners and their family are kind and welcoming! Don't miss out on this place ( check their hours first). Bring a picnic basket and buy some of their wines and relax!

I have to say the 1-star review here is uncalled for. My tasting fee was waived with a purchase of one bottle of wine. Though I would have been happy to pay it. It is only $5, and this a small, local business. The tasting included at least 7 wines. Toby, one of the owners, poured for us. He was very welcoming and knowledgable about the area. I loved the small, local feel. They also sold local almonds, eggs and beef.
