FAVORITE FOOD TRUCK PRICE 5/5 The pizza can suffice for dinner. Dinner and dessert here came to about $12. Winner in our book. LOCATION 3/5 They usually set up shop at a Cincinnati brewery. Not often close to the city. You can find their locations on Streetfoodfinder. QUALITY 5/5 Cooked fresh for each order, they are absolutely delicious. They are usually on about a 20 minute wait. Your wait is always rewarded.

We were craving something different from the usual breakfast, and that's when we found Avalanche. As huge crepe fans, once we read their story on the website, we knew this was the place to go! From the moment we walked in, one of the owners greeted us right away -- super friendly and chill. The space was clean, the music was great, and the Montana-inspired decor and artwork really told their story and created such a welcoming vibe. Now, let's talk about the crepes! I ordered The Snow Bunny, and the very first bite brought instant comfort -- exactly what I needed to start the day. My husband ordered The Ronnie, and it was incredible. The blend of hash browns, chorizo, and eggs was perfectly balanced -- none of the ingredients overpowered the others -- and every bite was a delicious harmony. The crepe itself was the true star of the meal! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town visiting friends. See you soon -- your Kansas City fans!

When you enter, decide where you want to sit and peruse the menu. You will then fill out your own order/waiter ticket and bring it to the counter. While you wait for your order, there are a variety of table games that you can play. There are also some local arts and crafts for sale that you can check out. I went with two crepes: the pepperoni pizza crepe and the smores crepe. Both were outstanding choices! Really, everything on the menu and at the tables around us looked great. The smores was definitely the highlight for me. Bitter Sweet is in a pink building in a really cool small town. Side note - If you're looking to get married, there are bridal shops everywhere! But even if you aren't headed to the altar, I would highly recommend Bitter Sweet and the entire area in general. It was a very cool pit stop in between soccer games.

Initially, I required some clarification on their process - have a seat, look at the menu, fill out your own ticket, bring the ticket to the counter and grab a drink if you put it on your ticket. Then, your food comes out and is brought to you when it's ready and you go back to the counter to pay before you leave.... Basically it's just fast casual style. The initial entry is a bit confusing and cluttered, but the dining area is nice and open.

Not going to lie. Everything on the menu looked extremely delicious and extremely creative so it was hard to make a choice here. Garden Salad - Added some Grilled Chicken to the salad and it was actually quite a good one. Ingredients were all fresh and went really well together. Didn't even need to add much dressing to it. Eckerlin goetta - We ordered this on the side because its one of the must try items in Cincinnati. Quite a unique flavor and texture, but actually something I would recommend trying. The Fried Chicken went believeably well with that Waffle. No wonder it's one of the popular dishes! The biggest highlight for me was that waffle. I don't know what it was with that waffle but it was a different type of Belgian waffle which was dense and cakey with a little bit of sugary crust outside and it was so so so beautiful. I noticed that they sell some waffles to go as well and little gift bags and that ready would be a nice thing to take for home or even to give someone. Could not recommend this food more! Only reason I'm taking off a point here is the service was extremely slow. We had to call them a couple times to add something on and had to actually follow up and ask where it was. Same thing with asking for an extra waffle where they just took so long even though it was quite a simple thing to bring out.

I enjoyed my lox and waffle which included an egg, pieces of smoked salmon on top of a belgian waffle and a salad on the side. However, both my friend and I thought the waffle was hard and dense. She was not a fan of her benedict as it had salmon spread instead of actual salmon and she found it to be overall salty. My other friend also did not enjoy her crepe which had a mountain of whipped cream, very little strawberries, and a doughy crepe. We saw a number of tables nearby order the latte that had a waffle on top which looked cute. Overall, although I was satisfied with my meal, my friends were not.

I came here because research for our Cincy food tour brought me re: the waffles and crepes…read more We were just in Belgium for about a week in the spring and you can feel confident that we became very qualified in the field of Belgian waffles during this time. We ordered their strawberries and crème waffle which is served on a Liege waffle. Actually, it would seem from our visit that liege waffles are the only thing they serve here. It's fortunate because they are quite good. Anyway, the liege waffle was cooked very well. It has some crisp/caramelized edges with a nice, soft, and warm interior. The waffle tasted so good I would happily eat that shit plain. The strawberries and cream were a nice touch but the cream was on the light side and collapsed pretty quickly. I unintentionally ended up with a cream sleeve by just being in the vicinity. We saw a vegetarian savory crepe and felt that would pair well with the sweet waffle. We ordered this and had high expectations. I will admit I am much less of a crepe connoisseur than a Belgian waffle connoisseur so take this with a grain of salt but the crepe was WAY overdone. It was literally hard to the point that the plastic cutlery provided didn't stand a chance to cut into this thing. It made it very hard to eat, we pretty much ended up eating stray roasted peppers and spinach rather than properly between the crepe layers. This was quite disappointing and most certainly not something to write home about nor write regarding a highlight of the city's food scene, not to be a dick. GF speculated that the person making the crepe seemed to be distracted with many other tasks due to what seemed like understaffing. Something for the owners to think about if it affects the quality of their product but what do I know? The waffle was excellent, would skip the crepes.
