The Creperie in Madison is a delightful hidden gem that combines a charming shop in the front with a cozy coffee shop delicatessen tucked away in the rear. The front of the store welcomes you with a quaint and inviting ambiance, perfect for browsing unique items or picking up a little something special. As you make your way to the back, you discover a neat little café that serves up fantastic coffee and delicious crêpes. The intimate setting in the rear feels like a secret getaway, offering a relaxing space to enjoy an espresso or a light meal. Sit upstairs for more an intimate setting.

We found this dandy little half shop and half breakfast restaurant during our recent trip to Madison Indiana. Obviously based on their name they specialize in Crepe's of which they have many different kinds. I wanted to try one so I went with the Lady Godiva Crepe which was a super sweet version coming with dark cherry vanilla bean marsacpone cream, dark chocolate ganache, dark cherry reduction, brown sugar pretzel crumble, and powdered sugar. It was as I said very sweet but had a lot of exquisite flavours with the combination of all that chocolate and cherry flavours really worked for me. I also got some sausage links which I would say was slightly above average. As I said in addition to the restaurant they had a full shoppe with clothing, artwork, and lots of other knick knacks. This was a very cool place with good breakfast and what I would say is a great tourist type of stop. Good stuff.

Fast casual walk up service with friendly staff. Crepes sounded and looked amazing. I had to get the seasonal pumpkin soup though, which is my favorite. It did not disappoint! Fun to shop in the art gallery while waiting on your food.

We stopped in here on a trip to Madison, Indiana. It is a French creperie that does breakfast and brunch. They are open daily until 2pm and they are located at the back of an art gallery, Gallery 115. There is a farmhouse type feel to the place. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. When you get to the back to the restaurant you walk up to the counter to place your order and then choose a table and they bring it out to you. I ordered a brûléed honey latte that was made with local honey, espresso, milk, sugar torched top, I liked the smoothness of this latte. My friend ordered an iced tea and it was not good, it appeared either old or over-steeped. I ordered the Oh Canada crepe, it had bacon, egg, cheese, maple butter, and green onions. I found this crepe very satisfying and would definitely order it again. I do not remember which crepe my friend ordered but I remember that she liked it as well. Give this place a try for breakfast and I do not think you will be disappointed.

Mouton noir and praline citron. Drinks are dusk on the riviera and a rose a lavender iced latte.

Service, ambiance, and food was amazing! Highly recommend the August and Mouton Noir crepes and the dusk on the riviera tea latte.

Yelp found us another good one! This establishment is perfection in every way! The first thing you will enjoy is the Art Gallery that you walk through. When you get to the back you'll meet the friendliest ladies. They have a grand coffee house menu so enjoy a gourmet coffee of your choice. Then get ready for the best breakfast/brunch! Everything is chef prepared and they take pride in what they serve. Presentation is as good as the flavor! Forget five stars, this place deserves 7! We have eaten there last two mornings and will eat there two more times before we leave. No better place to eat breakfast then right here! Enjoy! Edit: we went again today and have absolutely fallen in love with this little gem!

The Creperie is such a great addition to downtown Madison! The food is absolutely delicious and thoughtfully crafted, and the staff is incredible. The atmosphere is fantastic. I felt like I had been transported to a cozy Parisian cafe. This place is a definite must while in Madison! Best scrambled eggs, best crepes, best everything!

I just can't say enough about this gem. It's located in a historic building right on Main Street and has a quirky gift shop in the front Staff is super friendly and attentive. Food was incredible and portions were more than we could finish. I'll be back next time I am in town.

O Canada crepe which is amazing
    Dustin G.

My wife and I frequent this establishment when we're in the mood for a crepe and coffee. We tried the O Canada crepe and the Banoffee crepe today. The O Canada crepe is to die for imo. It has crispy bacon, egg, and maple butter. My wife tried the Banoffee crepe which was nice but also very sweet. I love their savory crepes here that have a slight touch of sweetness. The dessert crepes are good but super sweet. The service was excellent as usual. Very cozy retro decor and friendly people. Highly recommend

The GDM crepe and The August crepe
    Angela S.

Located in the back of Gallery 115, the cafe feels eclectic yet homey. We tried the GDM crepe with Turkey, caramelized onion, Irish cheddar, spinach and cranberry balsamic drizzle, as well as the August crepe with Ham, onion, mushroom, and sun-dried tomato cream sauce. Both were well prepared and very flavorful. The quality and portion justifies the price! Kelsey was our server and did an amazing job providing recommendations and customer service!

True to its name the restaurant has a very cozy "French" feel to it with lots of wood accents and dim ambient lighting. When we were seated we were presented with a drink menu, but had to later flag down a waiter to be given menus for food. I understand that the place was busy, so I'm sure that played a big part in the inattentiveness of the staff throughout the evening- who were all very nice. So as you can imagine the wait was VERY long. The server also (understandably, he was very busy) served our drinks to the wrong table so we never received them. We were charged for the drinks but after the server realized we never got them they were taken off our checks. This place is beautiful but beware. Management is very shotty as I watched the bar manager and hostess watch the ONE server struggle with an entire restaurant of tables for two hours. With the high price point and elevated dress code/decor, I expected a lot more professionalism. (Checking in with tables who waited 30+ mins for water, explaining the situation before seating us, etc.) My salad was fine, the hummus plate was very basic, and the fries were cold. I don't blame the server AT ALL but as the maid of honor I was so disappointed my best friend's bridal shower was such an awful guest experience. I'd love to review the drinks but as I mentioned they never came :/. I wouldn't trust this place with big occasions, or celebrations just in case. It's the rare restaurant that delivers quality without acting like it deserves a TED Talk for doing so. The food is consistently strong...like "you actually remember what you ordered tomorrow" strong. No foam experiments, no deconstructed nonsense, just dishes that taste like the chef respects both the cuisine and your wallet. In today's market, that's practically a miracle... or at least a manager who hasn't lost his mind. Service? Shockingly competent. The staff is attentive without hovering like a helicopter parent at a kindergarten recital. That doesn't happen by accident, the chef/owner is clearly a pro. A class act who hires well, trains properly, and....brace yourself...seems to care. I know, it's unsettling. The ambience hits that sweet spot: warm, relaxed, and just upscale enough that you feel like you made a good decision... but not so fancy that you're Googling "which fork do I use" under the table. And then there's the location, right next to The Blind Lemon. Honestly, you might find yourself rooting for a wait just so you can wander next door for a drink. It's the only time in life where bad timing actually improves your evening. Bottom line: This place doesn't try to impress you, it just does. Solid food, fair prices, great service, and an owner who runs a tight ship without making it feel like boot camp. In a world full of overhyped dining "concepts," this is something radical: a restaurant that simply works.

I always enjoy watching a staff of 7 deliver the table their food like they are performing a choreographed dance. I ordered the cheapest drink on the menu - a yummy local beer from MadTree for $7. The others had much more expensive cocktails that were $20+. You won't have to worry - while their food menu is small and selective, the drink menu is HUGE. They surprised us with glasses of in honor of my sister's upcoming nuptials. That was a lovely treat! I kept to being a cheap-o and ordered the $18 "Arpege" salad as my main. It didn't have any meat but it had a lot of cheese! Yum! Others ordered more substantial mains like the scallops, the beef tartare, the halibut, etc. All were plated beautifully. I had a bite of the bolognese, and while a small portion, it was superb. You do have to pay for bread service but it is unlimited refills so on $8, the 7 of us went through 6 loaves of bread and 6 trays of delicious salted butter. I personally probably had 2 loaves on my own. My god, it was the best thing I ate the entire trip! After we ate our mains, we then ordered a variety of desserts.
