We're leaving town this afternoon, so we took the morning to explore this beautiful college town -- and we're so glad we did! We were craving something different from the usual breakfast, and that's when we found Avalanche. As huge crepe fans, once we read their story on the website, we knew this was the place to go! From the moment we walked in, one of the owners greeted us right away -- super friendly and chill. The space was clean, the music was great, and the Montana-inspired decor and artwork really told their story and created such a welcoming vibe. Now, let's talk about the crepes! I ordered The Snow Bunny, and the very first bite brought instant comfort -- exactly what I needed to start the day. My husband ordered The Ronnie, and it was incredible. The blend of hash browns, chorizo, and eggs was perfectly balanced -- none of the ingredients overpowered the others -- and every bite was a delicious harmony. The crepe itself was the true star of the meal! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town visiting friends. See you soon -- your Kansas City fans!

Super friendly staff and the crepes are excellent!! I love that they have GLUTEN FREE crepe options! I got a savoy crepe (Ruger with ham and Swiss) and also a sweet one (Snowbunny). Everything was delicious! I ordered an iced matcha and my husband ordered an iced coffee. Honestly the drinks were not great. But this place is not known for their coffee, they are known for their crepes so based only on the food, they get 5-stars!

Came as they opened, food came out within 20min and we had 4 crepes, and 3 drinks! Inside looked great, plenty of seating. There was only one person working but she was fast! Would come again! The AVALANCHE was our favorite as it helped cut the sweetness from our sweet crepes.

My wife and I came here with my brother while he was in town; he was hooked on the idea at the first mention of the name "Avalanche Crepes." We came early on Sunday morning before a bit of a rush. The decor and setup is lovely, very cozy. He and I both ordered the Avalanche, liking the sound of everything in a traditional American breakfast, and figuring the eponymous dish must be good. My wife went for the Missoula and added bacon. The crepes came out one at a time 5-10 minutes later--very quick, though it helped we were the only customers there. The Avalanche was quite tasty. Eggs, bacon, cheese, jalapenos, and all covered in gravy. I can't complain: the food was well-seasoned and it was a good portion size. That said, I was hoping it would stand out just a bit more. Tasty, but not mind-blowing. My wife's came out smelling fantastic. Tomato, mozzarella, bacon, pesto, and a balsamic reduction on top. Inside me there are two wolves: one who likes low-brow classic "meat-and-potato" american foods like bacon, eggs, and gravy, and one who prefers high-class pretentious foods like a nice caprese in a crepe. And in this case, the snobby wolf wins out. The pesto and balsamic was so damn good. I think I would add a couple eggs in it next time to up the protein, but overall we were very satisfied and will likely be back.

Visited with 2 adults and 2 kids, we all got our own crepe and they were all filling and good! For the sweeter versions it was almost too much! Service could have been more helpful, but overall a pleasant time.

This crepe place is a gold mine of fun flavor in the heart of Clifton. They have a delicious menu full of creative crepes and waffles. They can be loaded up with fruit, veggies, proteins, and sweet additions like chocolate and caramel. The crepes are especially huge and filling, a great value for the price You can watch the crepe-making masters create them right in front of your eyes. It's a fun environment with a western Montana-esque theme. Really a perfect spot for a quick unique lunch or breakfast that you can eat in the restaurant or take to go.

Don't be fooled by what appears to look good. The crepe was served cold, I am not sure how, and they forgot to make my waffle, so I waited an extra 10 minutes while the regular person eating their crepe was done and the gluten free order person was 90% done. We waited 30 minutes for our food, which I was fine with, but to forget mine, and be flippant about it without an apology is bold, rude, and unacceptable. Putting the ceiling fans on might have helped the smoke filled room dissipate the smell instead of it clinging to my clothes. The dead cockroach in the women's restroom was an amazing touch.

I enjoyed trying out this creperie. I had the Evergreen crepe with turkey, ham, brie, spinach, tomato and green onion. Deliciously savory! Shared a Snowbunny crepe with bananas, nutella, whipped cream and cream cheese for the sweet crepe. Loved them both and would definitely go back again.

Here is my favorite. Just a simple crepe with syrup.

Great low key place to grab some breakfast. Me personally I enjoyed the regular crepe with syrup. Service was very personable and on a Monday morning at 10:00am was not busy at all so the staff made time to interact with us as they were making our breakfast.

Delicious crepes and a lot of fun options to choose from; sweet options and savory. I got the avalanche crepe and I can't wait to try it again! So savory!

We got there at around 9:10 and were first offered a seat inside but it was so loud in there the hostess couldn't hear what we were saying and vice versa, so we got a spot on the patio. Our sever was very nice, but service was VERY slow for a Sunday night. She told us they were busy the night before because of a conference and they were still in town that day, so the bar inside was busy. After ordering our drinks it took about 15 minutes to get them, and she didn't even take our food order when she came back despite us being ready. We waited, no problem. We ordered a 'Spice Bag' and it was decent but took about 25 minutes to get to us despite being potatoes and onions in a bag. For 40 minutes we waited for our food and when it came out it was terrible. I ordered the Fish and Chips and Caesar Salad to share and both were mediocre at best and inedible at worst. If you come here: DO NOT GET THE FISH AND CHIPS. They were battered nicely, but aside from that the fish didn't feel fully cooked and tasted like nothing, with a hint of dirty water. The tartar sauce seemed homemade, but didn't have any flavour. The coleslaw was boring and watery, with no flavour. Our server never checked up on us during the meal, so I never got the chance to ask for something else, so I was just stuck with the fries it came with. I know what good fish and chips should taste like and it's not that. Others ordered the curry and the wings and seemed to enjoy it, which is nice. However, 30 minutes after placing our order we were told that the kitchen "ran out of rice" and they asked us what we would like to replace it. When the curry came out, it was missing the naan but again, server never came to check on us so we didn't notice until the end of our meal. Overall, it's a cute place that feels Irish, but service is slow and food is terrible. Our server was lovely and it wasn't her fault that she was busy with tables, but management should be doing more when they know there's a conference in town to set their servers up for success.

Both were friendly & acknowledged the birthday girl in our party. Atmosphere is great. You could comfortably walk in wearing jeans or come dressed up. Neither would be over or under dressed. The menu has juuuust the right amount of options, which is great! Heather was our waitress & while she was kind, her service skills were lacking. Granted we weren't at a Michelin Star Restaurant, but we also weren't at a dive bar. There was an endless amount of awkward reaching through, over & around when refilling drinks. There were a couple of instances where she actually touched our shoulders to nudge us to the side so she could reach through. Totally not okay during service at a restaurant nicer than a dive bar. We ordered the cheese sticks starter which were so yummy! Highly recommend! A couple of us ordered the Cesar side salad & were highly disappointed. The dressing tasted like it was mayonnaise heavy & then watered down by lettuce that wasn't dried after being rinsed. Even adding tons of extra pepper didn't help. The lettuce also tasted like it has been too wet for too long. The lobster mac was ordered in the group & it was tasty but soooo greasy. So, order with caution. We had the Black N Bleu salad in the group & that was good. The Atlantic Salmon was another dinner ordered & the crust seasoning was delicious! Sadly, the salmon was a bit overdone. It does come with a lobster cream sauce, which confused me. It was only so so & I definitely skipped it entirely. The steamed broccoli was done to perfection though. Not soggy & not too crunchy. We also had the 12oz ribeye & that was great! Flavorful, cooked perfectly! I will add though, that the steak knives need an upgrade. I really wanted to love this place, but we won't return on our next trip to Newport/Cincinnati.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
