So many boots & the team was really accommodating to our needs! I couldn't choose one pair cause they had a whole sale section. I had to send pics to my peeps to see what was the best choice lol. Overall, went with one pair since I had to circle back to the house at the end of the week. Of note, the bathrooms were themed beautifully and they were clean! The entire team here is absolutely the best. They hire nothing but pros that care about their job and care about their clients. From the guys work on the floor to the cashiers to the managers. This is a well run company. It would surprise me if this was an employee owned company or property or a company because everyone that works for acts like employee owners. My entire career of work for profit-sharing companies and employment companies so when I see this type of behavior I can tell right away. Maybe they're not. Maybe they just have a hell of a synergy going on and they really enjoy what they do. Nothing but top-notch people here I buy all my boots from here. When I need a pair of boots this is my go to place. If you need a pair of boots should be your go to your place. They have all styles and all types in stock. They have apparel and everything else. This is a great store and I will continue to always support them and they will always be my go to for boots apparel etc. Great job guys and gals. One time I got a pair of boots that just didn't fit right. They were so kind of a help me find a pair that I really like. There was no issue at all. Came here tonight to purchase cowboy hats, and THEY-WERE-NOT helpful. Kept asking questions about which hats fit according to kids' ages (my son was not present), and could not say. The clerk said he'd have to see him to say. Well in that case I could do the same. Also, there was another store clerk present that I asked which hats applied to a sign that said 20% off. She didn't know. So I asked the front store clerk who appeared barely sober and near sleep and he had a better response. Sadly this was a bad experience for me for what I thought would be a fun process. read more

We got no help from anyone in the store. They all stood around in a group talking most of the time. Never asked if we needed help.

No cute womens clothes. Also service SUCKS SO BAD. A group of 5 young women were huddled around women section laughing giggling barley acknowledging any customers. And when one moved the other 4 followed to register and giggled more. Got on intercom and requested two young males to the front and all started giggling and laughing again. Smh worst service ever no one offered help and customers where it was their first time needed a dressing room , me a customer had to direct them because we were not important enough to the girls for them to help read more

I came here with my son to assist him in choosing some items he needed to wear for a wedding party that he'll be in shortly: a pair of boots and a belt. Since he'd never purchased western boots before, this was completely uncharted territory for both of us. Enter Makayla. Shout out to her for guiding us in the right direction and helping us in many ways. Not only did she offer great advice and suggestions, but she was also quite intuitive about styles and sizing. What a help! Boot selection here is vast: every color, style and price range that you can think of. All boots are set out on the shelves according to what they have in stock: no rummaging through boxes or searching for your size, for boots are organized by size up to 15. Belts were also quite varied by color and price range; they all are the type with a removable buckle (to either add your own or purchase a buckle you may see here); otherwise the existing buckle is stylish enough. Again, prices range from low to high; we found a nice, reasonably priced belt that matched the chosen boots perfectly. This is quite a large store with a tremendous selection of western wear and accessories. If you're looking to "Go Texan" and get yourself some cowboy/western duds, this is the place to park your horse (or your car or pickup) and mosey on in for a great shopping experience. read more

Very friendly staff. We bought 4 pairs of boots for the whole family. Sizing in boots is very interesting, I wear a big sneaker size but smaller Ferragamo dress shoe size and the boot is sized to the dress shoe. Choose this location because online it said it had sizes for the kids and they did vs the newer and bigger Speing location that did not. Went in thinking I would buy Double H, but we all got Ariat instead they are so comfy. Watch online videos of how boots should fit...very insightful. My only wish was that our sales woman would wear her mask over her mouth vs under her chin...not sure what good it is doing there...made us feel uncomfortable. But every other staff member wore mask as did customers so that was good to see. read more

I've been in this store a good four or five times since I've been in Humble. The employees seem "authentic" - plenty of y'alls flying about. They really take pride in their shop and are eager to help if needed. But they will also leave you alone if you just want to look. Just purchased some nice work boots. They have a decent, but not massive, selection. My friend bought a $200 pair of boots, and is quite pleased. Ok guys, listen up, you'll thank me later. The next time you need a pair of jeans, go to a Cavenders. When you walk in the front door, a salesperson will ask if they can help. DO NOT get annoyed and want them to go away. No, this person is your friend. Simply tell them what you want, and they will magically take you STRAIGHT to it. They may make a recommendation. I'm not too into the whole western look, but I buy all my jeans here. Granted, if you want to own that ONE pair of cowboy boots to wear to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo or GO TEXAN day, then, they can help with that too! (Yes I bought boots and a cowboy hat, and I've had them for years) They probably work on commission, but, that's ok. It makes shopping a WHOLE LOT EASIER! You'll never buy jeans the old way again. And SO FREAKING what if you can get them for $3 less somewhere else? What is your time worth? Oh, and a fringe benefit, if you get a salesLADY, well, they're always rather cute. I had a horrible experience at the Cavender's Boot City at 1960 at Kuykendhal this afternoon. I went in with my niece to buy her first pair of boots and was offered NO help at all. I am currently on crutches and I was already prepared to navigate the store, but we got to the children's department, all the benches were covered in empty boxes and employee clipboards. In addition, no one working in that section offered any assistance in locating the correct size, correct boot or anything. Then, when we got back to the front, we asked a group of three girl employees where we could find the kids' boot socks. They waved vaguely to a corner of the store and returned to their conversation. Needless to say, we didn't buy any socks today. And when we finally checked out (after waiting in a very undefined "line"), I told the cashier that I had asked for help and not received it, she just apologized insincerely and didn't even ask if there was anything *she* could do to help. If I had known of another place to purchase boots, I would have walked out without buying anything. read more

Called them every day and they confirmed that the boot would be delivered on the day we needed. Did not offer any solution or explanation. Will never support them anymore. read more

I came to this location straight from the Conroe location, where I was basically ignored from the time I walked in. Very unhappy with the lack of customer service. When I got to this Cavender's, from the moment I walked in, was a GREAT Shopping experience. I had come in to buy my dream boots for my birthday! Betty was so pleasant, greeted me right away and walked with me to the boot section. Since I knew what I wanted (I had seen them on the Internet), she found my size and helped me fit them. She never once tried to upsell me, like most salespeople do. She took her time with me and didn't make me feel rushed. I will definitely be shopping at this location from here on out. I have never in my life spent $300 on boots, but it was one of the best purchases I've made, I've gotten tons of compliments on my boots! Thank you, Cavender's, and especially Betty! Been to a lot of Cavenders and sometimes am very underwhelmed. Went in to just poke around to see if anything caught my eye before the rodeo and left with a pair of ostrich leg boots thanks to Ashleigh. If you need boots go see her very helpful and personable. Cavender's is pretty much the only game in town when it comes to western wear-- they sell everything a self-respecting cow-person might need to work on their animals, and have a pretty nice selection of duds for rockabilly types as well. Minus one star for having less boots in size 11.5 than other sizes-- wtf? I always thought my shoe size was pretty common... sales staff ranged from a gigantic helpful swede to a bunch of completely useless girls @ the non-functioning register. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Entered the store without a greeting. Looked around for at least 15-20 minutes with out anyone asking if I needed any assistance - I had items in my hand needing to try them on. Finally I walked up to cash counter hoping someone would speak to me when an employee asked if I was ready to check out. I replied, No I haven't had a chance to try them on. I also expressed interest in trying on some boots only to be left and ignored in a dressing room. I left without trying on any boots. Someone needs to train this staff on how customer service increases your bottom line! I'll never set foot in this store again. This is typical service for this location. read more

My boyfriend bought a pair of boots here for his uncle, but he had to return them because they didn't fit. He's currently staying in VA, so he had to ship the boots back to me so I could return them for him. I found out I needed a credit card, but it was close to the 30 day return policy.
