Why do I bother??? I needed a few shirts and a pair of slacks (all purchased from Jos A Bank) altered at the Champions location but the person behind the counter insisted I have all the items dry cleaned before they would take the items for alteration (most weee already cleaned). I called the Woodlands location to confirm their policy and they said it was not their policy and would accept my items for alteration. This is not the first time I've had horrible service at Jos A Bank Clothier. This is the last time. I will find another place to buy suits and shirts and an alteration company. I will never use Jos A Bank ever again. read more

This was my first time inside your store and I will say that it was an absolute horrible experience. We had been looking forward to coming in here for the first time, as we saw the store had a wide variety of really nice suits, shoes and shirts. We came today to get my son fitted for a few items. At entering we were greeted by a really sweet younger Asian woman and she asked what we were looking for. We let her know that this was our first time and what we were looking for so she started guiding us over to the open shirt wall to see my son's size. Everything was going great UNTIL another worker came over. An older African American woman swiftly walked up and snatched the shirt that the Asian worker was holding and said "uh uh, that's not what we do.. we need to measure him." We were all taken by surprise and I can't put into words all the things that happened next. It was a whirlwind of the older lady demeaning the younger one and rushing through measuring son. When the younger worker would try to speak the older lady would snap back quickly and contradict what she said and then she ran off, got a shirt and said "ok are you ready to check out?!" It felt as if she was rushing for us to leave! I told her know we are here taking our time to look around. She then said well what else do you need? (But rushed and with attitude). I let her know that we came to look around but were looking for ties, pants, shoes...and she interrupted and then picked out a tie after seeing a swatch of color we were looking to compliment. She kept rushing and wanting to check out... but I didn't understand why we were rushed. Finally, I said firmly that we were not in a rush... We were just looking around and taking our time to see what else you have. She seemed offended , although I said it nicely, and she said she would just take the shirt she picked to the checkout. We were glad she was gone! In the middle of all that, the younger worker had walked off because she'd been disrespectfully booted out of the conversation. We continued to walk around and look for ties and socks and even different shirts. We then found a shirt that we like better. It was still a white cotton shirt, but a higher thread count from the Reserve section. Then a third worker came... She was a more mature Caucasian lady. She asked if we needed help and we said no that we were just looking around and seeing which shirts we liked better. She was very pleasant and offered help if we needed it and walked away. We were comparing the shirts, and I took the Reserve shirt apart to let my son feel the difference and make sure it fit. We were 99% sure that we were going to keep this shirt as it was better quality and threadcount than the initial shirt we were given. All of a sudden, the African-American lady came up and said very loudly in front of other customers " uh uh ma'am, we don't open up shirts here". (However, we were at a table where they're clearly had been shirts opened up because the plastic collars had been taken out and pins were on the table... Those were previously there before us. ) also I think she thought she was talking to a five year-old kid the way she was trying to correct me. I let her know that we wanted to try this on to make sure he liked it. And she said no we don't do that. It's the same shirt that I gave you. I let her know that it in fact was not the same shirt. It was a different shirt . She contradicted me and said your shirt is at the front. I already put it there.(with an attitude.). I let her know that I had taken back the shirt that she gave at the checkout and it was with us, and I showed her the difference in the quality of the shirt. I said this is not the same shirt. It is a total different thread account and it's not see-through. She said no, and then she saw the shirts next to each other and she was going to try to prove me wrong, but then realized that they were actually two different shirts . Then she said oh well anyway we don't open up shirts to try on. I then ask her, so now that I've opened it you're not going to allow my son to try to try this on? She then said I guess it's OK but we don't do that . We proceeded to try on the shirt and we ended up purchasing the shirt, under shirts and a tie. I honestly did not even want to stay there to make a purchase because she was so rude and disrespectful not only to myself, but to her coworker. However, my son really liked what we had picked out so we proceeded with the sale. Unfortunately, she had to check us out and she not once looked me in my eye. However, she thanked my son for the purchase and wished him well. The store has a lot of great selections, the price is not super expensive and it's very close to our home. However, due to the expanse with this woman, I would not want to come back here again. I don't know if she was having an off day or if that was her regular attitude, but I truly felt sorry for her coworker. read more

Great customer service and was immediately greeted upon entering the store. Had quite a collection and variety to choose from, however renting selection was limited. Was looking for more of a royal blue suit for my husband and his groomsmen, but many of the shades of blue were dark or had a pattern. This was my first visit to a Jos A Banks store, to buy a new suit. I selected a dark navy blue pinstripe Traveler's suit, which resists wrinkles and stains. I also got a Stay Cool shirt which mixes in a synthetic wicking micro-fiber with cotton to help cool the wearer. It works quite well. The store is clean and well arranged albeit a tad crowded, with a wide assortment of the signature Jos A Banks clothes, which tend to lean to the more conservative side. If you are a tall guy, your choices are limited since clothing manufacturers assume that tall men are 300 lbs overweight and only wear tan, beige and black. Although not every style is stocked in the store, they'll order it for you online, and between the two sources there's a wide selection of Big and Tall styles and colors. Right now, they have clothes by my favorite designer: SALE! The sales folks were very friendly and helpful. I'll be back. read more

My husband purchased a tuxedo from this location a month before an event. When he returned to pick it up from being altered, they did not have the tux and told him he forgot he picked it up. He never picked up the tux. The ordered a replacement. We were told it would be in Monday. When we called Tuesday to find out if it arrived, we were told it would be in Wednesday. On Wednesday, it still wasn't in and we were told it would be in Thursday. By Thursday when it wasn't in, we were finally given the tracking number to check status ourselves. On the FedEx website, it shows the package had NO DELIVERY date since TUESDAY! Even though we called daily for status no one thought to raise alarm that the packed with an expected delivery date of 10/4 had been updated on 10/5 to show no delivery date! We are now 1 day away from an event with no tux and customer service at the store and through the corporate line had been horrendous. I've been on the phone with customer service for over 2 hours to be told I'd get a supervisor call back within an hour. Call back never happened. When I call back, I'm told there are no supervisors available and someone would call me back tomorrow, the day of the event. How helpful is that?? No one has taken responsibility, apologized, or even offered a refund for an item we have yet to receive. This has been the absolute worst experience ever. read more

This was our first time shopping at Jos. A. Bank and we were very impressed with the service and attention to detail we received from Andrew. We walked in just before closing and the store became fairly busy. Andrew did an amazing job of juggling three different customers and fulfilling our needs. There was another salesman helping other customers and he too seemed to do a great job of meeting their needs. This store has a great selection of men's clothing. The only problem is that it's crazy expensive! The salespeople were really helpful and friendly. If you are trying to shop for someone who is tall and super thin and you need a fitted dress shirt this is the place. Just be prepared to pay for it. On December 7, 2014 My Fiancé and I entered Jos. A. Bank at the Champion Forest Plaza 5484 FM 1960 W Houston, TX 77069 location. To this day February 4, 2015 it was ben a very stressful time working with them. We picked out a traveler set, colors and tie/sock colors. We had a total of ten men needing to get this information. At the time, Carol, seemed very confident in everything. We left feeling good about the decision to work with them with our groom's party for our wedding. Now thus far EVERY SINGLE guy out of the ten guys has called me. (As the bride I should know all the answers, right?) I assumed after spending quite some time with Carol she would of documented our information clearly that was our party could easily go in, get measured and get things done. Out of our TEN grooms party every single one has called me while they were there because of confusion while there. They were unable to walk in and get help. What color pants? What color tie? Cuffed or un cuffed? What kind of shirt? (this is a short list of questions I have been asked) Or if carol was not there- the other staff members had no clue. Example I had someone travel about 78 minutes to get there- Carol was off and another staff member helped her. He got his measurements and then wanted to get his tie while he was there. The sells rep couldn't help him because she didn't know what color. Then he asked what color the traveler set was going to be so he could get shoes, he was unable to because the sales rep had not a clue. Today, my brother drove 45 minutes to get there. He was charged $160 for the vest and $180 for the pants. We had got a travel set (pants & vest for $140) Again I spoke with the sales rep and she said this was "just thrown in her lap this morning before Carol left" I would to be surprised if every groom party member had something different at this point! They have made working with them a horrible experience and will never do any kind of business with this store. Bride Update on Feb 26th a grooms men was at the location after receiving an call to pick up his suit. Once he arrived there they could not find anything under his name. They had mixed up the last name and first names of the grooms men. Update 3/2/15 On Feb 27th my groom and i went o pick up his suit. As he was trying it on i could see his feet under the dressing counter. WRONG COLOR. One week before my wedding they have shipped the wrong color! The store manager at the time (not who had placed the orders) reviewed our account and informed us that due to his height (6'7") they actually don't have his size. Not at any point did anyone tell us they didn't even have his size it would have to be special maid and tailored. Our originally sales rep Carol never told us they would have any issues with this. The only solution was at rent On March 1 one of my grooms men calls me after leaving and states they did not have his pants. There was a store manager there another another gentleman helping them. Apparently they had his vest but didn't have a name on it and no pants. The gentlemen helping him had to find a sample in the store to get his sizing done. They told him it would be in the store by Friday. At this point the wedding is in 6 days. My wedding is out of town and most of us leave Wednesday or the latest on Thursday. I call in a panic to talk to Carol the store manager in absolutely panic! At this point every grooms men who steps foot in there had issuing things, wrong colors or an issue with what was placed. Being a store manager i was completely shocked at Carol's reaction. Not once did she validate my concerns, issues or acknowledge why my trust has been broken with doing business with them. She actually made the situation worse. As a client i was VERY upset yet again another- to me- big mistake less then a week before my wedding. She at this point be little my concerns and said i was "paranoid" and she had already told me things would get handled. I then brought up my grooms men being there with no pants and she said that was not true that he had tried on his pants. I had then told her my grooms men and her sales rep that i had spoken with both told me the same information about the pants. She said that wasn't true. I asked her if her store rep was lying abut the situation then because there is no way she would say they had no pants if there were there and Carol said yes! She also told me that a lot of this was my grooms fault for not coming in as fast as she would like. Yes the grooms men haven't all came in but i had communicated with another employee who said tailoring only took 1-2 days. But i wasn't sure how the grooms men coming in had anything to do with the fact that when they did come in it was all wrong. For a store manager to actually tell a client that it was their fault blew my mind! I ended up getting more anger because on the phone she would never listen and let me vent. Their "promotions" are many and varied as they have been for years. I personally love the style and look of their clothes and am willing to pay commensurate w/value. What has separated this store relative every men's store I've shopped at for the last 35 years has been Wendell. Ask for him by name. I do. Here's why. He listens to you and shows you choices. Many are on sale. Some aren't. He'll educate you why certain items cost more than others. He makes suggestions to build out your look. He's selling you. But what makes him different is it's very soft where he's adding VALUE to your decision for what to buy. And he never pushes. Simply listens, shows, suggests, and smiles. read more

We have been able to find some very nice suits for the groomsmen in our upcoming wedding. There was a slight issue with the lady my Fiance was initially working with, no longer being employed there, so all of the information we had initially provided was somehow "lost" which resulted in some confusion for our groomsmen. However, we were able to get it worked out with a guy named Addison so we are back in business. He taught me how to tie a bow tie in just a few minutes ! They have a nice selection of shirts and ties as well as nice quality suites and offered us some good prices for ordering multiple suits. read more

Their clothes are very good quality and this store has always provided me with quality help and advice. If you are new to JAB, this you need to learn that they run these crazy sales ALL THE TIME. I am a man of meager means, so when I purchased a tailored suit and three shirts for almost $500 (with discount coupons!), I was none too thrilled that it was going to take 2 weeks to get my suit back from alterations. After it was returned and not correct (jacket sleeves were not correct, and the extra shirt grips in the pants were not done...) I had to wait another week. Suit finally arrived. Now 4 months later (dry cleaning once every three weeks after 10 days/month of wear), the leg linings in the pants are torn and buttons on the shirt are popping off and disintegrating. I have had one jacket button button resewn on and the other is about to pop off. I am finally finished making excuses for Jos.A Banks. This is the second suit in a year I have purchased from them with the same unsatisfactory quality. Shirt buttons break and pop off, the thin material made in India snags and unravels easily. I have purchased better quality suits at Burlington Coats. Never again Mr. Banks... Thought I was going quality store to get a new suit. I don't mind paying extra for good service. After trying on a suit and having a different salesman give me some coupons to use like it was a big secret and don't tell anyone. At that point I should have just left. Got fitted and was told it would take two weeks to get altered, twice as long as any other store I visited. I was on a tight time frame, being assured by the salesman it would be ready on the date promised. Returned to the store the day it was supposed to be finished only to find out it wasn't ready. Assistant manager wasn't sure when it would be ready. I thought with paying more I was paying for better service, that was not the case. A good sales person should have keep tabs on it to make sure it was completed on the date promised, being I was leaving town and needed it. Upon finally getting the suit I didn't get an apology from the salesman or manager. I wouldn't waste my money at this store again. After they get your money the service sucks. read more

My husband and I have shopped at jos a bank for many years and tonight we walked out of this store because of the poor customer service. We walked in at 8:00pm and quickly pulled 7 dress shirts for him to try on. A sales person immediately came over and tried to hurry us along. At 8:17 my husband entered the dressing room to try on his 7 shirts. The sales person rushed in and said what is your husbands name? I told him and he proceeded to say "---- I know your not planning on undoing all of those shirts. I will have to re fold all of them and we close at 9! They all fit the same just pick 1 to try on. He had not even tried 1 on yet so we immediately left. We have spent a lot of money at this store over the last 15 years and my husband actually worked for them for a short time many years ago. This experience has put a horrible taste in our mouth and we are both disgusted with the embarrassing way that this person talked to us not to mention there were other customers in the fitting room! disgusted!!
