I think I found my new favorite place to study. 1. Coffee: I ordered a caramel/mocha latte and it was delicious. It was strong enough with just the right amount of sweetness. 2. Food: I got the croissant bread pudding. It wasn't as creamy as I would've liked, but it was still pretty good. I'm not usually a fan of whipped cream, but theirs was so yummy and definitely enhanced the overall taste. 3. Ambiance & Interior: I was so impressed by how pretty it was. The decorations were very modern with cute, little details. There was so much natural lighting coming in and a good amount of seating. Most of the people here seemed to be working, so the noise level wasn't too bad. My only concern was that there weren't many outlets at all, so come fully charged. Also, the restrooms were fully stocked with tampons, mouthwash, floss, etc. What a nice touch! 4. Parking: can be difficult due to construction, but they do have an entire lot adjacent to the building. There were a sufficient number of spaces too. 5. Service: everyone was so nice, helpful, and enthusiastic. I'm sure a lot of thought and care was put into this coffeeshop. Highly recommend coming here to study or just to chit chat. I'll go here if I'm feelin fancy - they even provide mouthwash and feminine products in their bathroom. You can spend from your average 4 bucks on a cup of coffee to upwards of 15 depending on your mood. Whatever your heart may desire, the baristas are there to help you pick. They are always patient with me as I hem and haw but all the drinks are hits! The service here alone has me coming back. The food ranges from pastries (with an open kitchen so you can see them laying out all the snacks) to sandwiches. The kitchen does close earlier than the shop itself so grab your food early. Unfortunately, seating is limited and plugs are only by the pacman machine or along two of the walls. In addition, wifi has been unreliable the last few times I was there. read more

A gorgeous space with excellent coffee. The interior is lovely and the staff is friendly and helpful. This is definitely more of a productive environment than a place to meet up with people and talk, the majority of patrons seemed to be there to work silently. I will note that there weren't a lot of options in terms of seating and the desks were not as big as I would expect for a study space but it was a very aesthetic, modern place nonetheless. I recently discovered Cavo at the beginning of October of this year and was very intrigued about a cafe in the Buffalo Speedway area! I visited one day after work looking for either a dairy free latte or a pour over. First impressions are that place is amazing and has an "If you know, you know!" vibe that would be amazing for an Instagram photoshoot! It's very clean and minimal and has a lot of open space and would be perfect for either a hangout, meeting or a study area. Their staff is very friendly and has a lot of knowledge on coffee and their origins, which is always good to know when you're feeling adventurous. I ended up ordering a pour over with beans from Ethiopia and having a small conversation about the drink while the barista has a little sample of the coffee. I had a great time and I'm really excited I find myself in this area to get some more covefe and enjoy the peaceful views they have to offer! read more

Decided to go to CAVO Coffee for my second place of my cafe hopping journey, I was very disappointed tbh, they didn't have regular matcha latte only with syrups or honey (which I'm not a fan of) I asked if regular sugar was possible, no answer (the baristas could be a bit more nicer) was given so I just chose lavender syrup, not a fan, you could barely taste the matcha, now the almond croissant was nice but to much syrup in the middle making it overly sweet so I just ate the outer part. Parking lot is very small I had to park at a bagels place next to it, the music was very nice a bit loud for a small place but I didn't mind and I really liked how the place was decorated I didn't try the wifi since I went to read but I didn't last long since the atmosphere is not very much for studying or reading, maybe for computer work and if you have your headphones, I wouldn't recommend it if I'm being honest but hey that's part of the journey. read more

Cute coffeeshop! The baristas were really friendly and the coffee is great. What really stands out about this coffee shop is the cute decor and atmosphere. There are plenty of tables to work if you need to get some work done, but also a few comfy chairs if you want to meet someone for coffee. Definitely a good balance between social atmosphere and study spot. I got the chai latte and the Nutella cookie, and both were excellent. Came in for a dessert coffee after a meal at Oishii across the street and I loved my experience. I got an iced vanilla latte and asked the barista to go easy on the sweetness. He was very nice and happily took my request. When I got it, I noticed specks of vanilla bean at the bottom of my cup which leads me to believe they use real vanilla bean and who doesn't love fresh ingredients?! I forgot to confirm this while I was there so don't take my word for it. I will definitely go back to try more of their menu and ask about the vanilla. read more

Since becoming a coffee addict, I have been on a careful and unfortunately slow quest to try every coffeeshop's dirty chai latte whenever I visit a new coffee shop... because it would a little ridiculous to be spending $7 on a regular sized latte on a regular basis. Most of the time, I'm satisfied just because I enjoy the chai spices and the extra and necessary energy adding the espresso shot. However, it's been a WHILE since I've tried one worth writing a review about. It's awesome, and I'm glad they ask you whether it's for here or to-go to cut down on the to-go cups. Heck, it's worth staying and not getting it to-go because they go the extra mile by adding latte art, and they bring your drink to your table as opposed to calling out your name which can make it noisy. The slight downside is the smaller parking lot situation. (I had to park across the street near the wells fargo bank. My car was fine but I there for less than 2 hours.) Also, there didn't seem to be a lot of outlets, but it also wasn't super loud or noisy so it could be an option if you come prepared with a fully charged laptop. Although I haven't tried any food or other coffee drinks, I'd say that any place that can serve a memorable dirty chai latte is definitely worth coming back to. read more

I tried this place because I love brunching at the original location on Richmond in the Greenway area. Parking was surprisingly easy with a small lot to the right of the establishment and a couple to-go spots out front. I will say, the only time I struggled was on a Saturday afternoon when I guess everyone needed their Cavo fix. If only I'd known at the time about additional parking next door at The Marquis, it's a bar that is closed during the day. They are located between Local Office and Cleo Roasting, which is actually part of the Cavo Coffee family. Cleo's roasts all of their beans and is also how you can purchase beans for coffee making at home. The wall between the roasting and brewing businesses is fully glass, so you can actually watch them in action if you happen to be there while they're roasting beans. Thus far I have not been so lucky. But a little birdie informed me they do a bulk of their roasting on Wednesday's with some overflow and all the bottling on Thursday's. When I first walked in, I was struck by the modern, chic design. Very similar aesthetic to the Greenway location. There is a long bench with a few tables to the right, along with three stand alone, two-person tables and an old school pac-man arcade game for two by the wall. Above the game they have a wall with old-school lettering with cute sayings that they change out. The gender neutral restrooms are behind an adorable door with stereotypical male and female silhouettes with their legs crossed like they really need to pee and are barely holding themselves together. Best part about the bathrooms? They have a surface for whatever you took in with you (let's be real, cell phones) to put down while on the throne and not have a drowning accident. They also have hairspray, tampons, floss-picks, and mouthwash. So great! If we continue the counter-clockwise tour around the establishment, next to the restrooms door is a fridge with drinks and gallons of milk from a local dairy. Cavo Coffee is very big on sustainability and supporting local business for its ingredients. Next to this is a kitchenette of sorts with condiments, utensils, water, and a dirty dishes receptacle under the counter. Then there is a small display case with all of their in-house made baked goods, all of which they serve after warming up. Next comes the ordering counter, which is connected to a bar top where you can sit and watch them make drinks while you work, eat, chill. Their machinery set up is very cool and pretty. Sometimes I stand there after placing my order just to watch them work. The staff is super sweet and they will wash your tumbler for you if you brought your own cup. Continuing our circle, there's that glass wall to Cleo's Roasting, and then a seating area with chairs and a coffee table. Along the front wall, there's another bar-height table with about four chairs. Next to that is a long table that separates the seating area from the rest of the venue with lots of chairs. The whole place is very pleasing to the eye and brightly lit because of the glass walls. The furniture is comfortable. Small issue though- the outlets are NOT plentiful. So get there early and secure yourself a plug if you know you'll need one. Or watch those seats like a hawk. Or, you can be super cool and bring an extension cord with multiple outlets to collect some good juju from the other patrons who also need outlets. Other reviews mentioned that the wifi caused them a lot of issues. Personally, I did not have these issues except once. But after restarting my wifi the issue was resolved. Let's talk noms. Their coffee is smooth and not bitter, great things for a coffeeshop that prides itself on the quality of their drinks. Their syrups are also made in house as well, and they are not overly sweet. As for their baked goods, delicious. I've had their apple and gruyere scone and cream cheese pound cake. Both delicious. Both served warm. The pound cake comes with some kind of berry preserve and topped with lemon icing. Overall, cool study spot that could use a few more outlets. TLDR: DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO DO ANY KIND OF WORK ONLINE. Quite honestly the worst cafe experience I've ever had. A good cafe should have quality coffee and study/lounge space. Cavo was severely lacking in the latter. The very noticeable lack of outlets is annoying and unexpected of a nice-looking cafe; the bare minimum expectation for a 21st century cafe is one outlet per every table or every other table. You'd be lucky to get one of the few tiny tables that had an outlet... The wifi (both networks) were also terrible and took forever to connect to. If you had the patience to wait for the wifi to finally connect, you would be met by slow loading times and blocked websites. All-in-all an atmosphere very much unconducive to getting work done. I came here with a friend this morning and left after 15 minutes. Never coming back here again, not even to try the coffee. If I have to study at an overpriced coffee shop, I'd rather go to Starbucks. read more

To start, I would like to compliment Cavo Coffee on the aesthetics of their establishment. I would say that it's more modern/chic than anything else. Upon walking in, I was taken back at how nice it was. I ordered a simple mocha, nothing too fancy and the friend I was with got a hot chocolate. We both felt that the mocha and the hot chocolate would have been improved if there was more chocolate in the drink. However, it was not something that we would complain about. I would say that my biggest disappointment was the the table space. There is only one long table with enough space to spread out and work on multiple things at one time. I was doing some grading, on my laptop, while my friend was reading on her own laptop and we both had a hard time fitting. As well, there is only one other table (outside the long table)  that has access to an outlet that we could find. I had not had a chance to fully charge my computer before I got there, so after about 2 hours of working, I had to head home. Overall, I would say that I had an okay experience at Cavo Coffee. My recommendation would be either getting there early (I arrived at about 10:30 AM on a Saturday) if you plan on doing work and you need space (so you can snag a spot at the longer table) or just going to Cavo Coffee for a casual talk with friends, there is enough space for that, but not much else. Added note: Arcade games! At this coffeeshop, you have the opportunity to play Space Invaders (and I believe also Pac-Man) I found this to be a very unique feature! read more

This is a lit coffee shop ... literally...not your typical dimmed lighting coffee house. Their dishware does include exotic blackness. It's a great cafe to perk you up. They roast their own coffee beans (assuming from the roaster incased in the windowed room). They have hotel style restrooms which is an added perk. I don't usually like bacon, but their thick cut crunchy bacon changed my opinion. The music isn't too loud and it isn't too cold. The seating is a little lacking on outlets (6 seats tops probably unless you have an extension chord) however but their cold brew was pretty good. Has a moderately sized private lot for parking which is always a plus in Houston. I'm in love with this place! It was just one of those random finds that you run into when you're just roaming around and this was one of the best places to find! The barista was super friendly and was pretty helpful with telling me and my friend about the drinks as we are not really drink experts. The hot chocolate was perfection with it being a milk chocolate type of cocoa powder, it wasn't bitter and the milk to cocoa ratio was on point. I'm not a big coffee drinker as I am not a big fan of the bitter taste but I took a sip of my friend's macchiato and it was just right as well. I've always been a fan of Cavo, especially of the one near greenway. Not sure why this place opened up so close in distance but still a great shop nonetheless. In comparison, they both look very similar but I would say a little bigger in space or just more of an opened layout it seems. Still a lack of outlets though :( unless you get a good seat. Not quite a deal breaker though. I like the open coffee bar set up, especially the Mod bar. Also, Cleo roasting is next door, which looks awesome through the clear glass window. Great little coffee shop attached to a shared concept office building. The staff was extremely nice and I enjoyed the latte. A bit random but I was glad their mug for the latte had a larger handle so I could actually hold my coffee without struggling so much. I hate when coffee shops have huge mugs/cups that have tiny handles that barely let you hold on to the cup. On another note, the decor was really modern and trendy.
