    iced cookie butter latte
    Emily N.

I wasn't impressed with the cookie butter latte as I have a major sweet tooth and it landed mid on my scale of flavor. However, The staff and atmosphere here is very chill and laidback. Everyone was keeping to themselves and didn't act snouty or uptight like they do at other coffee shops in the area ... cough.. cough agora. I will be back soon because they have tons of seasonal flavors and lots of local art in the area.

Cake & Bacon, you are deliciously consistent and consistently delicious. Them jalapeños bit back!

Second visit today- harder to park, maybe bc they had a vinyl vendor this am- which is dope. This space has been 3 diff coffee shops since I've lived here in Houston, I think? Each one Ive liked. This one, no exception. Baristo was patient with me on my first visit- talked w me thru beans and pastries. Love they feature Cake and Bacon AND Jane & The Lion offerings: both heavy hitters in the bakery game, imo. Got a flat white both times, today I tried their house-made black sesame syrup and it was fantastic. They have a lil competition to consider w Della up the block...but they def will have me thinking hard about who gets the edge for my sat morning fix from here on out. Respect to LDC. Two word review: special syzurp.

I'm so glad we stopped in here for a pick me up! I got the Moon Brew matcha which has Chai in it and it's a house speciality! My friend got a One Night in Bangkok! They were both really good but honestly, the best part was the vegan chocolate zucchini bread....WOW!!! Our barista was so awesome too! I wish I'd gotten his name but he was so patient with us and gave us samples. We loved the trendy vibe in this space. Quiet enough to work but also have a nice conversation. Loved the artwork on the wall and the plants! We had a nice little photoshoot there.

What an absolute gem of a coffee shop in the Montrose area! First of all the coffee is incredible, they've even been selling their beans at other cafes. The dark room latte had a light toasty flavor with a nutty tone and an overall sweet flavor, so so good especially with the sesame seeds on top. The salted butterscotch was a bit more savory and punchy in flavor and it was also delicious. Their flavors here are standouts! They also have several food options. I tried the picadillo taco, which came on the most tasty corn tortilla and a heaping amount of filling which I appreciated so much. It also comes with a mild salsa that helps add a little tang. I loved this and will probbaly have to get it again - just beware, it's pretty juicy so would definitely recommend eating where you're not afraid to make a mess! The servers are also very kind and will explain the fun options on their menu! And the interior is so comforting and cute, with several tables and outlets for working as well as a couch corner for those looking to chat on cozier seating. Can't believe I haven't been sooner, and will certainly be back soon!

(Order Left to Right) Original Matcha Latte , Red Velvet Latte, and Pandan Matcha Latte

My friends and I decided to pivot and ended up at this coffee shop hoping to find a place to study. My first impression was that the interior was nice, and the menu had a lot of Asian-inspired drinks like Vietnamese coffee and matcha. I ordered the Red Velvet Latte. At first, I wanted to add an extra shot of espresso, but the barista told me it would end up having about the same caffeine level. That surprised me because I assumed that adding more shots would make the latte stronger. I took her advice and didn't add the extra espresso. On the first sip, the Red Velvet latte had gritty crumb-like pieces in it, which wasn't very pleasant and honestly felt underwhelming. The only item I'd say might be worth trying is the Pandan Matcha Latte, but even that is something I've had better elsewhere. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back.

The service and coffee are always top notch addition of a vegan cupcake prompted me to give them a fifth star. Service remains good even when there's a record swap about once a month, which is always enjoyable. It can be a bit crowded during those times, but you can still get a cup of coffee and whatever you'd like to go with it, served by a smiling and friendly staff.

My sisters & I went here on a slow Sunday morning. The lady who helped us out was so sweet. I got the cookie butter latte as well as a jalapeño scone & blueberry tart and they were all so delicious! I do wish the iced coffee came in a bit bigger cup size for the price, but nonetheless, I'll definitely be back to try more items!

Yay! A new coffee place in my area. With the abundance of coffee shops, I'm glad Little Dreamer is now in this area from Oak Forest. I've tried them at the Heights Mercantile farmer's market, and I love their coffee. Today is the official grand opening and also happens to be Pi Day, so they had an abundance of pie today. Naturally. I got to meet Matt Toomey who opened this location and is also the founder of Boomtown Coffee. He took my order and was so nice and personable. I had the Salted Butterscotch with oat milk. It was made perfectly and with the right temperature. It wasn't overly hot, and I love that you can take a sip right away. The red eye chocolate pie is delicious and is a combo of chocolate and espresso. The whipped cream cuts the richness, and the crust is great. There's plenty of seating with high and low tables and counter seating. They had a DJ mixing up beats which was nice cause it wasn't overly loud. The bonus is that there's a decent size parking lot and side street parking. I'll be back. Come check them out!

I'm so glad Little Dreamer coffee now has a brick n mortar location! I believe I first had their coffee when they would do pop ups at the farmer's market. Montrose is lucky to have them! The specific location they chose is perfect. I've been coming to this location back when this used to be Inversion Coffee and then most recently Canary Coffee House. While those coffee shops unfortunately didn't last, Little Dreamer Coffee seems like the winner in my book. Quick service and chill ambiance is spot on here. This first visit I tried their "Dark Room" latte, hot, with almond milk. Their homemade black sesame syrup they use in this is just the right amount of toasty nutty flavor without being overly sweet. Next time I am definitely trying their pie! Those pies look heavenly! Thanks again Little Dreamer Coffee! I'll be back soon! PS. Yes there's a good amount of seating here with a variety of bar seats, tables, and chairs, plus plenty of outlets if you're looking to do some work on your laptop here. Enjoy!

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.

Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
