Grilled snapper on lemon sauce topped with calamari

My father has been telling me to try this place out and I finally gave in. The only thing that had stopped me before was the location and overall exterior look of the joint because is right next to some warehouses and it's not very aesthetically pleasing from the outside. Now as far as the food, some was great, some was not. We started with the conch fritters and lobster empanada. Conch fritters: these were tasty but had a lot of bones and hard pieces of conch that made it hard to chew on so I didn't like that at all and I've had better elsewhere. Lobster empanada: the filling was ok, yes you can kinda taste lobster but not really, very pasty consistency. The crust was soggy and greasy and it'd fall apart with every bite so not a fan on this one either. Now for the main dish I was pleasantly surprised...snapper filet in a creamy lemon sauce topped with calamari, side of yellow rice and tostones(fried green plantains). The filet was fresh and perfectly cooked and that lemon sauce is to die for. The calamari was a bit chewy, almost like a rubbery consistency but I didn't care because of how good the snapper was. Yellow rice was tasty but tostones were very greasy and tasted like the frozen ones, honestly I think they're definitely frozen and not freshly cut which is a shame . My father ordered a whole almost 2lb fried snapper and it was also a hit although it was a bit pricey for $30. This thing was super beefy with great taste and freshness. So the two main dishes were evidently delicious and that's about it. Service is excellent, no complaints there and food came out fast. Ambiance is super casual and chill with a low noise level. I would've given it four stars if the apps had been good but perhaps maybe next time I'll try something else. There's plenty of parking across the street.

    Fried hog snapper

Visited this location to satisfy my craving for a whole fried hog snapper after my disappoint at the Bird Rd location and I'm so glad I did! The fish was perfectly cooked. Crispy edges and tender, juicy white flesh. A little pricey ($38) but I enjoyed it and since it was both lunch and dinner for me, I figured not that bad. It also comes out with two sides and I chose yellow rice and tostones. I could not finish it all! My brother had ordered the tostones rellenos and they were quite good, filled with shrimp in a creole sauce. I tried to redeem the Yelp check-in offer for a free glass of wine or beer but they did not honor it. The waitress took my phone to ask the manager, but the manager did not know how to do it. I asked twice to get my phone back and I finally had to get up and get me phone myself. Why put the offer if they don't know how to honor it? Oh well, my meal was good regardless.

Stay away from the old man with white hair and black glasses near the cash register by the raw seafood. So rude, so grumpy. If I felt well enough, I would have thrown the raw oysters in his face. After he made me wait 10 minutes to be attended and then told me to hurry up cause he was busy. Since I need the magnesium, I'll sit here and wait after being treated like a piece of dirt. If I can save anyone this embarrassment, I've done my duty.

Dolphin sandwich! Fresh and delicious !

Honestly I wasn't too excited when I first found this place located in a shopping center with a bunch of warehouses, and businesses surrounding the area with barely any parking available. The restaurant is tucked away in a corner across a canal and somewhat hidden. Once you step inside you're greeted by the pleasant, humble employees that work here. The employees provide great service to customers and on top of that they're pretty quick with bringing apps/entrees out too! As for food... The seafood here is fresh so you know it's going to be good! I usually go with any sandwich they offer here... I haven't found one that I wasn't happy with yet! Also the prices for the sandwiches are so worth it! Super affordable prices for a good portion of hot and fresh food! Also the bread that comes with it is so warm and soft it's the perfect compliment to the dolphin sandwich! Here's the deal breaker... it is considered a restaurant but I wouldn't recommend bringing a large group of friends or a family to eat here. It can get really busy around early lunch and evenings so expect a wait when ordering food. If you do come and sit down as a party of 2-3 you'll be in good shape, and food usually tends to come out pretty quick! If you're around the area and with a friend definitely give this venue a shot!

Food was amazing! Service was spectacular and price was great! Fish was fresh and tender, crab cakes delicious. It was our first time at this restaurant (bird rd) and we will definitely be returning! So much better than Floridita!! Recommend 100%

We'll maybe in NYC upscale bar LOL. So lets talk atmosphere: casual dining seafood spot. Jeans/ sneakers. Music on patio with DJ. We ate inside, back dining room. Good Sangria. Decent. I've had better, its not homemade or string. Taste like a pre-made but works! See my photos: shrimp ceviche was best, then stew and paella! $90 for 2, plus 20 tip. Do $110 evening. Would have been lower with the right beer price but we live and learn! If we go down to Miami off 826, could be a stop to return too! Good quick service. Clean restaurant. No big fish smell considering you are in a fish house! Enjoy! Watch the prices and specials, could be some scam-ery on the prices!! Im not cheap but wanted fairness even in prices! And no bee/ wine menu. Next time we will ask for prices so we dont get played on a draft!

The lady up front who took my order does not speak English but she was nice enough to work with me. The store is very tiny, there's 10 tables that can seat 4 and a bar stool that can seat another 10. I came in on a Tuesday around noon expecting it to be full but it was moderate, at first there was only myself and these 3 ladies, but soon after people started to come in. They had the AC going so it wasn't hot as I thought it would be since everyone is crammed in there. So I wanted fried fish but I ended up with fried filet with yucca and coconut rice. The salad that came with the dish was just simply salad with Italian dressing. The yucca came out nice and hot but soon hardened, I think they should allow options such as french fries but I guess that's too American. The fish was banging hot, it was salty in some area but after squeezing the two limes on it, it wasn't so bad. Their coconut rice is amazingly good, I never had such thing but it was so sweet like plantain, it pretty much help balanced the saltiness of the fish. I also had the Colombiana kola which was pretty good. I paid a total of $14 plus tip for the entire lunch meal. Overall I would come back for more, just wish they would speak a little bit of english.

One of them is 1910 Restaurant & Bar, a Spanish-inspired restaurant that blends premium steaks, seafood, and a little theatrical flair without losing sight of flavor. The meal opened with an order of Cheese Balls, crisp golden spheres that reminded me of pão de queijo, except they skipped most of the bread and focused almost entirely on the cheese. The exterior shattered pleasantly, giving way to a molten, creamy center. Paired with a pineapple sauce, each bite balanced sweet and salty in exactly the right proportions. My wife ordered the Australian Wagyu Flap Sirloin, a 12-ounce cut grilled over charcoal and served with house-made chimichurri. It was everything you hope Wagyu will be, deeply beefy, wonderfully tender, and rich without becoming overwhelming. The chimichurri added brightness without stealing the spotlight. Then came the dish that first caught my attention. The La Reina de la Casa, or "Queen of the House." At first glance, it almost feels designed for social media, a cheese pizza crowned with an enormous grilled octopus. I would be lying if I said that presentation didn't influence my order. Fortunately, this wasn't style over substance. The pizza itself stood on its own with a crisp crust and generous layer of bubbling cheese. The octopus, however, was the reason to order it. It was expertly grilled, tender without a hint of chewiness, and seasoned with a spice blend the server politely described as the chef's secret. Whatever was in that seasoning deserved to remain a secret, because it transformed an already well-cooked octopus into something memorable. Dessert brought things back to the classics with a crème brûlée. The sugar crust cracked cleanly beneath the spoon, revealing a silky vanilla custard underneath. Simple, elegant, and exactly the ending the meal needed. 1910 could have leaned heavily on flashy presentations and premium ingredients. Instead, it paired both with thoughtful execution. That's a far more difficult trick to pull off. Some restaurants earn attention because they're photogenic. The best ones earn repeat visits because the food is every bit as impressive as the photos.
