CB is my go-to spot for gel manicures. Bea and Holly are amazing manicurists, and all the staff is so friendly and kind. Fair prices too!

I came here to get my nails done for my upcoming honeymoon and Holly did not disappoint! I showed an example of what I wanted for my trip to Greece and my nails came out so cute! I got a GelX mani with a blue and white French tip and a blue/gold design on my alternating nails! Perfect my trip! They are a cash only business but they also accept Zelle payment. There's also an ATM inside!

My family and I have been customers of CB nails for over 15 years. The owner Bee and all of the cosmologists working there are fabulous. They are personable , professional, and very skilled at there work. I have personally had Bee, Hollie and Rose do my manicures and pedicures, and It has always been a great experience. The facility is always clean, perfectly maintained, organized, and equipped with the very best equipment to insure premium quality of work. Their rates are reasonable and you won't be disappointed. This place is cool. I stopped by because it's on the way to my son's sports and I've always passed by. I like how it's a standalone building with its own parking. The windows and doors are all open for ventilation and has a nice cool breeze. I didn't like how B did my nails since she used the C curved tips and they kept popping off while she was trying to glue them down so she had to hold them down for a minute while it dried. I normally wouldn't care but if you're going to use those curved tips on me, make sure they are centered/aligned/fit my actual nail bed. The reason I say that is because the sides of my nails have huge gaps from the actual tip and it shows! Also I know it's too small because it's so curved that it already lifted on the 1st day from the inside of my nail bed where food can get stuck in and also can lift from the top (inside between my nails and the tips). She didn't do a good job but I'd give her another chance. The owner and her were really nice though. They didn't gossip about you in their language and wasn't pushy on any services. The owner kept telling me to add her IG so I can see all the designs lol I actually want her to do my nails next time. Overall I paid $50 for my butterfly powdered acrylics and $5 for a dip polish takeoff. I will be coming back to check out other services and to try the owner's work. read more

Typically, my mani and pedi are done simultaneously by two different ladies. However, I noticed that only one lady was working on me while 4 others just paced around and chatted with each other. At first I thought they might have other clients with appointments coming in soon, but nearly an hour passed and they were still not attending other customers. What could have been a 40 minute visit took twice as long. $65 also felt excessive for regular polish, I've gotten gel polish for that amount at other salons. Customer service was also meh - she seemed annoyed when I asked to swap out the color after testing it on one nail and didn't recommend any additional services like at other salons. What was even more frustrating was that by the evening three of my nails were already chipped! Will not be returning, don't recommend!

Crazy because next door at Bliss there were twenty plus customers. IFancy destroyed my nail by grinding off my nail!! I was shocked that they charged me $24!!! I only had twenty. There was a $2 charge to use a card. I was shocked they were so expensive for horrible service rendered.

I have been going to CB nails for 18 years and wouldn't go any where else . Bea and Holly are awesome !! They both do a fantastic job with your nails . Today I went in for a pedicure and a woman came in for a pedicure . She had stated she had a salon she always went to but thought she would try Bea's salon . She went ahead and sat down in a spa chair but found out that Bea doesn't except credit cards or debit cards . Bea did tell her that she had the machine that you can use your cards to withdraw money for a small fee but this woman was so rude claiming that Bea should except cards . She started to raise her voice and said she wanted her pedicure and when she was done she would go to her bank to withdraw money and come back and pay . Bea explained to her that she couldn't do that but she was more than welcome to come back after going to the bank . The lady really got agitated and said she was leaving and never coming back and she was going to write a horrible review so customers would not use Bea's salon . To tell you the truth the lady had an anger problem and I think a screw loose !! Please don't let her bad review discourage you from going to CB nails . They are the best ! Being a business owner Bea was very professional and treated this woman with respect . If you choose to try Bea's salon you won't be disappointed ! read more

I just moved into this neighborhood and just happened to be driving by the salon on Saturday morning! I walked in and was greeted by Bee at the door she was very friendly and nice and invited me in.I was super impressed immediately by how clean and organized the salon was. All the precautions were being taken, everyone had on a mask and they had hand sanitizer, and temperature was taken right away.Kathy did my nails and she did such a great job ..she helped me pick out a color that was closest to what I was looking for and she did such a great job on removing all the rough skin on the bottom of my feet after all it's been over four months since I had a pedicure due to the quarantine. Then Holly showed up and I sat down at her station she helped me pick out a color that was closest to the color on my toes and then I showed her a few pictures as to what I was looking for she came up with such a cute design I really was impressed by how quick and how professional she was. I am so happy that I have found my new nail home ! I totally recommend this salon.. this is a 5 + star review. read more

I had a fantastic experience at CB Hair and Nails! I went in for a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow shaping, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The staff was incredibly professional and friendly, making the whole visit enjoyable. The salon was spotless, which is always a huge plus for me. I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained, everything was sanitized and organized. Another standout point was the price--it was very reasonable for the quality of service I received. One of the best aspects was the no-wait time. Bee made sure that service was high quality and what i wanted. Holly did my manicure... love them their so cute. Mo did my pedicure very gentle and very caring. Bee did my eyebrows and took her time to make sure they were good. the staff we all very nice and easy to talk to, asked me every step if they needed to change any detail of the nail. I've been coming here for two years. I love their prices. I get my eyebrows and lip done for $13. I prefer the older lady doing them rather than the younger one (not the owner, sorry I don't know their names). The older lady takes her time and makes it look real nice. The younger one does a good job too, but I wish she would slow down. I never get nervous or worry about pain, but she does her job in lighting speed and it makes me worry. She also applies the wax onto my eyebrows way too firmly. If feels like she is trying to pop my eyeballs. That's my only issue. Aside from that, I love the place. Upon reading the other reviews, I'm asian so I know that Holli was telling Elisa she was being "cheap" jokingly. That's how we communicate. Holli was probably just pointing out that Elisa wasn't doing her usual routine and found it strange so she pointed it out with "Asian humor". Overall, I think the ladies there are pretty nice. read more

I just started coming here recently since my move down the street and boy am I happy! They are so close and convenient to my house, it's always nice and quiet when I come in and everyone is so kind and goes out of their way to make you comfortable! The first time I came, I brought my very energized three year old and they were so sweet about it and even kept him busy for me :) For nails, my go to girl is B! She shapes my nails so perfectly, I don't ever have to look over them or tell her to fix anything , she knows what she's doing and she does an awesome job to! Always working with me to think of new designs. And when I get my pedicures the ladies are very thorough, they make sure to Get your cuticles real good and they are great with removing callus to, they don't do a half man job like most nail shops do! On top of all that , they are quick to, I am always in and out. I love love love it here, my go to nail shop, finally! read more

CB Nails has been a great place to get my nails and pedicures done. The staff is friendly and attentive to your personal needs. Bea and Carol have done my nails and pedicures for 10 plus years. No matter if they are busy there is always one of their capable staff ready to pamper you. You can call for appointments if you need. If you have waxing needs they also do that. Private room where others aren't gazing on. I haven't used them for my hair needs but I have seen many women and men get their hair done there. Always looking beautiful when the leave. Spa pedicures are available. I highly recommend CB nails for your needs! They are 5 star plus!! By the way the cost is very reasonable! Me and my family have been coming to this place for years. The girls are super professional and get me in and out which I love. Mostly because I work down the street and have to go between my breaks throughout the day. I recommend it to anyone living in La Mesa. And to all my clients that come to me. I get stopped all the time by people asking who does my nails. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in a hurry , wants beautiful nails and wants them done right!! This by fair is my favorite nail salon. I've been coming here for years and I couldn't trust anyone else with my nails. Holly and B do amazing work in and so does the other ladies. Everyone here is sweet and welcoming as soon as you walk in. When ever I want to do a different style in my nails I know I can count on them to give me what I'm looking for. I've gotten anything from pointy, round nails to short or long coffin nails which I'm obsessed with right now. There's no better place to go have your nails and spa pedicure done then CB NAILS AT 7055 University Ave La Mess. I have been going there for over 14 years and the environment makes you feel like home. The place is owned by two sisters and all the staff has been there as long as I've been going. They are all friendly and makes sure you are hapoy and satisfied with the service. The place is spacious for comfort and plenty parking. Go give them a chance you won't regret it at all!! I've been going here for 10 years if not longer and I would never go anywhere else!! They've become personal friends even, they're great people and do absolutely amazing work. If I have no clue what I want they randomly design my nails or give me random designs that are fitted towards my style. I refer everyone to them love this shop and love the people there. I love this nail salon so much! The kindest nails techs that truly care. I got a set of nails that were very well done but I just didn't like the way they looked with my skin tone and so I went back 5 mins later and talked with my nail tech about it and she had no issue with redoing them and showed so much compassion with the most friendly energy. Bea runs this place and all I can say is she is rough, doesn't care if she is running late (dont expect any of them to let you know that, you will just sit there waiting), and there is NO hygiene. I am really tired of the blank "I no speak english" look, yet they sure have a command for it when it's time to pay! I got a nasty cut on my foot that took forever to heal, and I was afraid I had a staph infection. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I've been visiting this salon for almost 15 years and they've NEVER disappointed once!!! I went in today, with no appointment, and was in and out in 40 minutes!! Whether you're visiting San Diego or if you're a local, GO TO CB!! Wonderful people, location, AND prices! They are really good at gel manicures and pedicures and Eyebrows. You don't have to book an appointment, you can simply just walk in and they'll take care of you. They are fast as well! I'm a regular and they never disappoint! I've been coming to CB nails since I was in high school (over 20 yrs), I now live outside of La mesa but travel over to get my nails done here. I have tried to find a nail salon that fairs even close to CB but all others fail. Cathy and Tina are the very best! They give long massages but that doesn't stop me from adding another 10-15 minutes!! With 2 kids at home this is the perfect break for a mother! read more

Love this place I don't go anywhere else, the staff is amazing and so nice, they are quick and precise NEVER sloppy with sooo many colors to choose from. I get gel set and my eyebrows done Bea the owner waxes them to perfection, I have thick eyebrows but since she knows I like mine to look thicker she always makes them look thicker I have nooo idea how she does it! read more
