I showed up with a pic of what I wanted and Nicole assured me she could get what I wanted with about three sessions. I knew it would take time, but this first session did not disappoint! Thanks Nicole for helping me achieve my hair goals!
I have been going to Nicole for my hair since moving to San Diego (almost 4 years now) and I've left the salon satisfied after every appointment! She listens to my wants as a customer and does everything I wanted and more. Not only is Nicole professional and great at what she does, but she has a way of making you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the session. I trust Nicole with my balayages and she's always exceeded my expectations. I also have a great time chatting and hearing new tips on styling and products. Nicole is a 10/10 hair stylist!
I had a wonderful experience with Nicole. She is very knowledgeable and so patient to listen to your vision. She is honest and gives you suggestions for your hair type and products she will use. I really wanted to change my look and have a more modern highlighting. She walked me thru the whole thing, since there are so many new methods and styles of application now. I was used to foil highlights and baby lights but she really changed the whole game with a ballyage and fresh cut for my big birthday. Salon is very nice, clean and full of happy clients. I definitely recommend Nicole for color and she's a super sweet person to spend a few hours with!
I LOVE NICOLE!! It had probably been 2 years since I last had my hair done by my last hair stylist, whom I loved too, but she moved out of the country... It wasn't till I came across Nicole's Yelp reviews and then I saw pictures of her craft, I was like YAAAAAAS I need to meet her! Haha Well, I have since gone twice and even brought my 7yo daughter for her first wash, trim and style. Let's just say Nicole is our official hairstylist FO LIFE (please don't move away haha). Not only is she incredibly talented but she has the personality to match. Super friendly and we share a lot of kid stories. Look forward to my next appointment with her. Thank you Nicole!!
I found Nicole on Yelp and after looking at the pictures of her work, I decided to book an appointment with her. Over the past year I've had balayage done and prior to that I had all over color and highlights. There were a lot of "stories" in my hair from different color processes over the years. Nicole was able to look at all of the different colors in my hair and was not only able to give me the result I was looking for (balayage highlights) but also was able to make some suggestions to give me a result I hadn't expected! Brassiness from previous colors was gone, and she blended the old and the new colors beautifully! I could not be happier with the results and will be a long term client moving forward.
Nicole is so nice and awesome! I usually go to her to cut my ends because I don't trust everyone with my hair. She always cuts what I tell her too and not more. She styles my hair beautifully, I always get so many compliments. Recommend her to everyone.
I found Nicole on yelp then I went to check out her instagram page. She had great reviews and I was very impressed with the pictures of her previous work. I had a previous bad experience with a different hair stylist 6 months ago. I had asked him for a balayage but instead I got a bad bleached hombre. He ruined my hair and made it feel straw-like and brittle. I was so scared to go to a new stylist. When I found Nicole on yelp I texted her and she got back to me promptly. I made an appointment. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was in good hands. She's such a sweet and genuine person. I took screenshots of what I wanted. She explained to me all of the steps it would take for the color correction. I also needed a haircut and my roots dyed. I felt that she gave me a very fair price for all of the time and work that she did. My hair felt so healthy when she was done and it looked soooooo much better than before. Thank you Nicole! I'm happy I found a new stylist.
I've been told having black/Asian hair i would never be able to be blonde. I've always tried, but end up orange. When i saw Nicole's amazing transformations i decided to give her a try. Her work is so beautiful and true artistry so i didn't want to direct her too much as i wanted to see what Magic she does to my hair. I was so shocked at how ashy and blonde she was able to get me in ONE appointment. I didn't think it was possible. It's everything I've ever dreamed of. I even told my husband if we move I'll be making trips to get my hair done by her. She's amazing.
I was fortunate enough to find Nicole to do my highlights. She is incredibly meticulous. She paid attention to every stand on my hair. When it's done, it looked awesome. The best part was going to work, I got so many compliments. The guy I'm dating thought I look sexier with the hairstyle and highlights I got from Nicole. And when people notice that to the extent, well that's just awesome.. Nicole is very talented, and now I have my stylist and she's the best I've ever had.

Getting hair done anywhere can be very expensive so I know people do their research before going to just anyone for a hair cut, dye, or style. I finally found my go-to hairstylist and I'm so excited to finally become a regular somewhere! Trusting my instincts and going to Nicole was the best decision! I am a pretty simple person but I do ask a lot of questions especially when it comes to my hair. I loved how honest Nicole was in explaining the process with me and making sure she got a thorough understanding of how I wanted my hair to look. I went to my appointment planning to lighten my hair and get a balayage with baby lights. Before she did anything, we looked over a few pictures and she made sure she knew exactly what I wanted. I have A LOT of hair and it's also very long so the session took near 5 hours but on my search for a good hair stylist, I was looking for someone who took their time and Nicole is so personable and fun to talk to that the time really flew by! She's a perfectionist but I wouldn't want her to be anything less of that, since I definitely wanted to get my monies worth and with her I did. At the end, she wanted to tweak and tone my hair a bit to make it look better and honestly, I had no idea what 'hair talk vocabulary' she was throwing at me but I trusted her instincts and told her to do as she pleases & once she turned my chair around to face the mirror again, I saw my hair and was beyond amazed! -- Also, I felt as if I was in a movie scene & was getting a makeover by some celebrity hair stylist with that dramatic pause & turn of the chair. -- Anyways, I absolutely love how my hair turned out !! I came to Nicole not expecting anything extraordinary because the last two hair stylists I went to didn't really reach my expectations on how I wanted my hair. But Nicole really blew it out of the park and achieved my hair goals. So, if you're scrolling through yelp right now, iffy and trying to find someone to reach your hair dreams, I strongly recommend you to give Nicole a try! :)

Nicole is one of the best hair dressers I have ever been to. She does beautiful work and is very informative of the product she uses. I met Nicole while she was going to school and we started off slowly with my hair change. My hair was VERY damaged and she informed me on what products were safe to use for the type of hair I had. When I decided to add red to the bottom of my hair with blonde on the top, she talked me through the whole process and explained each product she was using and why she was using it. I am never going to another hair dresser again. She is very attentive and answers any questions that you have. Also, she does beautiful makeup.

I was in search of a new hairstylist and happened across Nicole's work on Yelp. After looking through her previous works on her Instagram, I immediately decided to book an appointment. She responded quickly and I had no issues booking an appointment. Nicole is a very genuine, friendly person so I felt comfortable around her. This time around, I wanted to try out an ashy brown and Nicole gave me her professional opinion on what would be best for my hair health-wise as well as cost-wise. She explained what she was going to do step-by-step and always made sure I was comfortable along the way. I will be going in for a second session in about two months to go lighter, so I'm definitely looking forward to it! Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with my overall experience! I found Nicole here on Yelp in search of someone to do a balayage on my never-been-dyed hair. After reviewing the photos here and on her Instagram I felt pretty confident, and I have to say she both met and exceeded my expectations. She is so kind and communicative about what you're looking for in a style and the best upkeep. No question felt like a stupid question! This was my first time going to Nicole and she did exactly what I wanted! I'm a travel nurse so it's hard to find good hair stylists bc you're always moving but if I'm ever back in the San Diego area I will def being coming to Nicole. Legend says that when you have a great stylist, your hair will grow back really fast, and it is! So I must have a great stylist. :) I went to Nicole back in December to cut my hair for a donation. Since my hair has been waist-length for many years, I was worried that short hair would look terrible on me. She helped me pick a style that would work on me and I got nothing but compliments on it. She knows what she's doing, and she is dedicated to her craft. read more

Nicole is amazing! I had never done anything to my hair before besides an occasional trim/cut, so I was a little nervous to venture into coloring, but I really wanted something new. Nicole talked to me about my wants and she did a beautiful job. I wanted something natural, but noticeable and that's exactly what I got. I found my new hairdresser! She is seriously the most down-to-earth, sweetest, and talented woman ever!! Super easy to talk to, and could automatically tell what you wanted with your hair. When she was looking at my hair she could tell what I had done with my hair in the past which I found really impressive (balayage and an ombré before that). The last time I got a balayage it took 5 hours and this time it only took 3. She also told me she was a perfectionist which I liked cause it only means she'll work twice as hard to make sure I like my hair. Thank you Nicole! read more

I'm a little late on the review but I found Nicole on Instagram and reached out to her about doing my daughters very first balayage hair and styled cut. We were not disappointed! My daughter is in love with her hair and gets compliments on it all the time. She was very careful in making sure that my daughters hair was not red and brassy. read more
