I would give 0 stars if I could. My son had a police ordered tow due to a car fire. The car was less than 2 miles to my house and this business. While we understand that police ordered tows are handled differently - my son was told that the cost to bring to their facility vs to our home would be the same ($250). However, MA law states there is a $132 fee cap plus $35 per 24 hours of storage. That comes to $167. If the driver was honest about this cost difference, my son would have chosen to go to their facility. Additionally, the driver quickly dropped the price when I showed up which shows he was clearly trying to take advantage of an 18-year old. I had reached out to this company to request the $33 difference and they ignored my email. read more

Do not use this company if you don't have to. They overcharged us, which DPU had to correct. The owner would not correct his invoice until DPU forced him to. They added fictitious charges and lied to my face until I produced video of the tow. Driver added 2 hours of labor to a standard tow and they doubled the mileage. Do not trust them, if you're in a fender bender in the Stow. Boxboro. Acton area ask the police to have ANY other company tow your car for you. You'll thank me. read more

The owner of this place is a thief! he took advantage of my 89 year old mother after she had an accident by towing her car to their establishment, then forcing her to tow out of there to her home and paying for another tow when my husband could have taken 2 mins to to adjust the front bumper so she could drive it. He wouldn't release it unless it was towed and wouldnt allow him to take the 2 mins to bend the bumper so she had to pay for another tow!! he was extremely rude and unprofessional to her when she went to pay them. The state police should be ashamed of themselves having this company tow vehicles for them! I seriously don't know how he's still in business!!!! My car was stuck in a very difficult place and even my mechanic came out thinking that it couldn't be towed - it would have taken cutting down trees and knocking out electric lines. I called CBK and told them they "may not want to take this job", which was what my mechanic said. they came right out with a CAN DO attitude and got my car taken care of in minutes. CBK is a terrible company to have to deal with. The police called CBK to tow my car after an accident. When I came to pick up my belongings from the car, they could not find the key. When I called to check whether they found they key or not, they denied ever having it. They told me "so what" if they lost the key and they refused to replace it. When I tried to have them look for the key again, they hung up on me. If you ever have an accident and you see CBK pulling up to tow your car, you should refuse. The fact that they would lose a part of your car and not care about replacing it proves that they are a company you do not want to deal with. read more

I've dealt with too many towing companies in my lifetime, but I these guys are 'as good as it gets' in their industry. The towing and storage fees were actually reasonable and the staff couldn't be friendlier and more professional in my experience. Agree with previous poster. They towed my son's car at request of Littleton PD, despite the fact it was not impeding traffic in any way. They refused to bring the car to our local garage, provided NO info about storage fees etc. When AAA was jammed up, they refused to pull the car outside of the locked area in spite of the fact the bill was completely settled (CASH ONLY, of course). This business knows how to make a bad experience worse. They are a CASH CASH CASH business know before you go because they don't say this upfront. Now this was my sons car so I am doing him a favor and both the people staffing there were real jerks. Here is how it went. First I call the guy to find out if the car was there. On the first call the guy who answered the phone said it wasn't there until I repeated myself and said are you sure. Oh and then they discover it is. Then the address I found was wrong so I call back to get the address again I repeat myself 3 times on what car it is so they can give me the right location. (I don't know if they even have multiple storage locations.) Keep in mind I am not from New England but I also don't have an accent. Still no mention of cash. We get there and he insists they told me it was cash. And they run the license of both drivers. Why is the license of the person who is dropping someone off to retrieve an impounded car any of their business? They are not the cops but since we want the car we give it to them. And they take their sweet time, the only person they were nice to was the cop they call to run the licenses. They do get around MA law by charging the $70 for driving 20 ft. out of the impound. ( I didn't see a fence even). They likely are trying to get addition impound fees by their behavior and not finding your car when you first call. They are likely collecting unreported income in cash. Cash is also a delay tactic if you get there late in the day. He also threatened to keep the car another day so we could pay additional impound fees. They are located at 795 Massachusetts Ave. Boxborough. Expect it to cost $200 +, expect them to have contempt for anyone who walks in the door, and I am sure their auto repair business is no better. read more

Charged more than is allowed under State law for towing our car from the scene of an accident. They are allowed only $90 plus $0 for miles under 5 miles and $4 mile over 5 miles. They charged $39 mileage (it was within 5 miles) plus $70 "service fee" and $90 "move vehicle to public access" which consisted of them driving the car 50 fee through their gate because they would not let me drive it. Worst company I have EVER dealt with. My ex, whom I have a restraining order on, had them tow my vehicle, with only MY name on it, to his address. Okay, maybe it was a mistake on their part...But when I called to straighten it out, they REFUSED to give me the address they brought my vehicle to, even though I showed them my title and license proving that the person they towed the vehicle for had no claim to it. When I asked to speak to the driver who did it, the guy said, and I quote "He is already aggravated enough with the situation, he won't give it to you, either." This outfit is full of very slimy liars! CBK towed my son's vehicle and impounded overnight. He was told the fee to release the vehicle would be $120. I called CBK and they changed it to $135 for no apparent reason. It was close enough and I agreed to pay. When I arrived to pick up the car on-time, the same person told me it would be $180 cash to release the vehicle. When I challenged his fee, he and two other employees gathered around me and stated it was due to a gas fee for the tow which was all of 4 miles and already itemized in the original estimate. When I told them that I was not going to budge from the $135 fee and I had no additional cash, he agreed with no argument which proved that they were just trying to shake me down for an additional $45, if they could get away with it. I had a very similar experience to Bill's. CBK towed the vehicle all of a 1/2 mile (maybe less) and charged the towing charge and then a fuel charge and then a storage fee. They also demanded 2 licenses be shown to pick up the vehicle and made it as difficult as possible to recover (undoubtedly so they could continue pile up storage fees). They are slimy and a racket. Never use them. Ever. read more
