As a Crew Member I have bought many pairs of shoes here over the last 14 years and have been very satisfied with the quality and longevity of my purchases. Not anymore. I bought a pair of shoes a month ago and they are already falling apart. Super bummer. The thing that prompted me to write this review is how horribly I was treated when trying to reach a resolution at this PDX store. The SAME woman who sold me these "durable and crewmember approved" shoes was the same Woman that told me that the damage on the shoes was caused by the service cart. Sure, I use my foot to release the brakes for inflight service, but never, and I mean never have I had shoes get this chewed up and so soon after purchasing. You mean to tell me that shoes you sold me that you knew I was specifically going to wear for work were damaged(at work) and now I'm being treated as if it's my fault my shoes are damaged? No. Absolutely unacceptable customer service! I posted the damage and poor customer service on our Company Facebook page, warning my colleagues to not purchase these garbage shoes. I was not compensated in ANY WAY. Unreal. Needless to say, I will not be back and this store just lost a LOT of business. read more

Experienced overt and unfortunate racism here which unequivocally negates anything else which may be qualitative. I know 100 this is the case because being a bi-racial individual with a Caucasian mother who has been to this store with me on 1 of the 3 occasions I shopped here; it was a decidedly different experience when I was on my own vs with her. Probably a good idea to work on your implicit & explicit bias and prejudices and stop letting others be adversely impacted by your issues. read more

Favorite store at the airport! So many times this store saved my trip. I've bought good looking but comfy shoes that got me through a business trip; replaced a worn briefcase with a gorgeous red leather Italian upgrade; bought a SAK raincoat that is gorgeous, reversible, and packs up to a tiny square; and many sweaters and tops. The store is small but they sure pack a lot inside! The music they play is loud and serves to attract those walking by into the store. Since I used to travel weekly, I would purposely arrive early and with room in my carryon so that I could shop here before my flight. They have one of the best shoe selections. Casual, booties, boots, heals - and they have top brands known for comfort. Great accessories, too! Scarves, jewelry, hats, belts. Love! People who work here are wonderful. They know you are either on your way to a flight or coming back from one so they are efficient and expedient. I no longer travel weekly, which I don't miss at all, but I do miss my shopping excursions at CC McKenzie! Especially since their location in Lake Oswego permanently closed. read more

Super nice employee that was very helpful. I read the reviews about a few unhappy customers regarding their return policy. The employee that helped me was very upfront about the short return policy and when I asked them if I could leave the shoe box they offered to recycle it for me!! Then they politely informed me that without the box I would not be able to return the item and she wanted to double check that I didn't want the box. No problem with that because I love the shoes and have no intention of returning the shoes. read more

Considering the high end products the customer service is severely lacking. No returns only exchanges. You have to purchase online to return an item and then the return time frame is so stringent you would be hard pressed to try and return in time to meet requirements for a refund. Shipping is also not free. As a return customer and purchaser of 3 pair of Pikolino boots I showed them a problem I had with the pair I was wearing and told them I had called Pikolinos customer service and they advised me to go to where I had purchased them to have them sent back so they could see what went wrong. Before I could say I was not going to do so because I don't want to be without my boots, they told me they would not do that. Their boots average $250. And they treat you as if you are buying at Kmart. read more

Do not buy from here unless you are clear on the return policy which is completely anti-customer. You must return your items within 10 days, with tags and bags for store credit. Given this store is in an airport, the 10 day window is fairly unlikely. Most ridiculous policy I've ever seen. I will not shop here again. read more

What a pleasant surprise to find such a high quality shop (choice of merchandise, quality of merchandise, design of the store, helpful and friendly service [Stephanie was awesome], and pricing) in an airport terminal, of all places! We happened upon them on our way to our gate returning home and scored a pair of fabulous shoes on sale. They also have an online way to shop, so now i don't have to worry if i can't get back to PDX sooner or later. Once of the most impressive things was that when i complimented our salesperson (Stephanie) on HER outfit and shoes, she said that she bought everything from that same store. Very impressive. Dishonest people. I was shopping their sandal sales. I asked the employee if I bought two pairs of sandals if I could get 30% off instead of just 20%. Otherwise I couldn't get both pairs. She checked and came back and said yes. She rang me up and I swiped my credit card and she handed me the receipt which said final sale which was no big deal. However when i looked at the receipt I noticed one pair was 30% but the other one was only 20%. When I brought that to her attention she gave me the BS that she only thought I asked for 30% off one pair. I was very specific when I asked to get 30% off both pairs otherwise I would only buy one pair. She basically walked away saying she could only do one pair and of course the 30% was off the least expensive pair. Rip off. I'll never shop this store again. I am going to contact my credit card company as well as BBB. read more

Two times this week I have been in the main lobby store, both times the service was atrocious. Both times was in the store, no acknowledging that I entered the store. I always find something great here when flying out of PDX. Amazing customer service. They even provide a hold service, so you can purchase your garments and leave them there, to be picked up when you return. This is great if you only have a carry on and the purchase won't fit (and you've snagged them on sale). They have two locations, one past security, but if you're picking someone up (and not going past security), and the other store has what you need, they'll send someone to get it. read more

I travel frequently out of PDX and try to allow for at least 30 minutes to shop, so I can't do too much financial damage. About 80% of my wardrobe comes from "airport shopping" at McKenzies, I'm able to shop for work outfits, as well as fun casual. Selections are high quality and not cheap, but with no sales tax, pricing seems fair, and I've found some great buys on shoes. I highly recommend this store, particularly the one inside of security. The return policy is not generous, so be sure you want to keep what you get! read more

Wish everything I saw in the shop was available online tho. I got home and decided to purchase the glasses I saw in the store and was unable to find them online. Dec 27, 2015. They won't accept returns for closeout items, not even for store credit. This store just ripped off my wife and mother. They each bought a lovely pair of boots and we got them home they tried them on and one pair was too small and the other pair was smaller only on one side (and my moms feet aren't that different and if so usually the other way around). We are so disappointed. What poor business practices for America's number one airport. Shame on you CC McKenzie. Now we have two pairs of boots that we can't use and are $200 poorer. read more

Their return policy is shameful. I bought a knit top that pilled on one side after 1 wearing and they informed me I should not have carried my purse there. I'm not talking about threads being pulled by purse hardware but pilling from friction. Lots of pilling. From one use. They would not take the top back. I'll not shop there again. read more

I have the fortune to fly into PDX about 6 times a year. I first discovered these two shops about a year ago and this has become my FAVORITE place to shop ! there is one large store on the concourse before going through security and I now leave extra time to stop in there. The smaller shop is immediately after Security . AND luckily for me, there will soon be a third shop down where I catch my Southwest flights.OK, now you got the locations. These shops have the most amazing selection of different and unusual designers for both clothing and shoes/boots. The clothes are perfect for women who are tired of only finding up to date clothing for the younger women. I'm in my early 60s but I have seen women from their 30s and up come in and just swoon over the selection of clothing. It also seems to be popular with the flight attendants . The prices are not inexpensive but definitely reasonable for the quality of the clothing and the styles which one would never find in Nordstroms or Saks. They will ship items to you also for very cheap ( $5 to ship in Oregon, $10 to the East Coast. boots and heavier items maybe more) They also will hold onto items if you are flying out but will be back within a short period of time and they will special order. There is also an online site. AND the sales people there are just wonderful, friendly, helpful and not pushy at all ! I am truly delighted to have access to shopping here . I'm frustrated in dealing with this company. I bought a dress on June 4th, and decided to return it for store credit shortly after returning home to Boston. I had it shipped there and UPS confirmed the delivery within the 10 day time requirement. I've received no store credit, no phone call, no email, nothing confirmed receipt or the credit in line with store policy. Nothing. I've tried calling their phone number but the phone just rings and rings with no answer or voicemail option. I'm wondering if they maybe went out of business there? I've always loved shopping there and I'm so disappointed at this kind of customer service. read more
